eBags EXO Hardside 24" Spinner

After using an EXO Hardside carryon for weekly trips for a few months, I decided to invest in a larger suitcase for hauling items that can't be carried on back and forth on trips (beer, mostly!). I've been very pleased with this bag, too. It works just as well as the Carryon, but in a much smaller size.

Pros:

The spinning wheels work great. They're large enough to handle the small bumps and ramps and things, but not overly large as to take up too much space or risk too much damage. They're also easily replaceable.

The bag is spacious inside, with great separation. The zippered side gives you a place to put ample clothes, and the straps on the other side prevent items from falling out if you open it the wrong way.

Lightweight under 10 pounds, which means plenty of room for stuff to put inside under the 50 lb weight limit.

Simple TSA approved lock installed.

The handle moves up and down to multiple heights suitable for my 5'7" wife, my 6' self, or my 4'11" mom. We've all been happy with it.

Separation in the non-zippered side allows me to keep my dirty shoes and other items away from my clothes. A simple feature that I like.

Available in colors that are hard to miss at baggage claim. Mine is bright yellow.

Cons:

The outside does get scuffed up a bit by careless baggage handlers, but it has held up well so far.

Needs someplace inside to hold a business card or contact information, in case it is lost. There's one outside, but inside is important too.

I've debated with myself for quite some time about purchasing this type of suitcase. After reviewing the customer reviews I decided to move forward. I'm glad I did. I bought this suitcase specifically for vacation but will be using it for work as well. I travel several times a month and my usual lenth of stay is 5-11 days on the road. I traveled to Japan and when I pulled my luggage off the carosel and started to wheel away I noticed it was off kilter. When I looked, one of the wheel corners had been pushed in. I was pretty disappointed but I opened the suitcase, pushed it out and it was like it never happened! I rolled that suitcase all over Japan on subways, trains, uneven cobblestone, sidewaks, upstairs etc. This suitcase withheld every type of surface. The wheels held up and it was easy for me to roll. I bought the bright yellow so it was easy to find. I love it! Felt it was worth the money and highly recommend. You do need to be aware that you should open on a flat surface so your items don't all fall out. However; if you purchase the travel bags that is not a big deal at all. It's also easy to clean. I got a few marks on it. I used 409 and they came right off!

Best $144 I've spent on travel accessories in a long time! Got the blue one, which is a little brighter blue than shown in the photo. Very heavy duty zipper, some people might think it's too heavy and stiff, but it definitely won't pop-open. The TSA zipper lock is great although it takes coordination to enter both zipper tabs into the lock while the other hand holds the lock open. It was fun pushing it ahead of me through terminals and ticket lines. The wheels are great, rolled over low obstacles like a 4WD. Never felt that it would tip over or trip on a bump. Color made it easy to spot at baggage claim. I pack light and it had room inside to spare for a 2 week trip. eBags customer care and warranty: awesome.

Bought this for travel to Europe. Holds plenty of cloths, spinning wheels works for easy pulling/pushing. Held up well for our 3 week European vacation. Bought two and I love them. Excellent buy.
