This isn't an everyday, going to school, keep-your-stuff-organized backpack; it's a stuff-it-in-and-go bag. This bag is like a Tardis; it's much larger inside than you think. I was underwhelmed when I first got it, but I have crammed so much stuff in this bag it's ridiculous.
I haven't yet had a chance (hallelujah) to test the waterproof claims, but whenever my water bottle has spilled inside the bag, nary a drop has leaked out. I'm taking that as a positive sign. The bag is seam taped and not sonically welded, so it isn't technically waterproof, but the design seems well suited to keep water OUT and your stuff dry.
If you need a simple catch-all bag to throw your stuff into, grab this. This bag fit my needs perfectly. I wanted a lightweight bag to keep my clothes in during my commute to and from work that would also keep them from getting wet on those rainy days. This bag met my criteria while also being rather stylish and good looking. The bag is a simple roll top design and the inside features a smaller pocket/divider that I use to keep my electronics easy to get to.
The straps are padded but not overly so to keep the weight down. The only complaint I have is that I wish all the buckles/fasteners/etc were metal rather than plastic. The cam device for strap adjustment is metal and looks like it will hold very well with use. Great bag, a bit on the pricey side but well worth it if you have the need for this type of bag.
