Samsonite Colombian Leather Flapover 15.6" Laptop Briefcase

I had the opportunity to buy this briefcase with a 50% of discount. For this final price, I consider I did a good deal. The leather is good, also the finishing in general. It has several small pockets inside de bag in general. It is good to use with a carry-on luggage, because there's a handle where you can hold the bag. So beyond its practicality, it is still elegant and can be used in more formal meetings. The only observation it would be in respect of the brown light color that appears in the picture, because it is not a bright color as appears, but a nubuck leather, even in a good quality.

The briefcase itself is swanky, looks great, and is good quality. I would love to use this as a professor for the next decade.

The only problem is the over-the-shoulder strap. In the last 6 months, this strap has broken 3 times, all in the same place: this little metal piece in the slide adjuster. Same place, every time. It's not due to overloading the bag, since I carry a laptop then 1-2 thin file folders whenever I go to class.

Thankfully customer service was kind enough to send a replacement the first two times. We'll see if they are able to keep replacing it, or send me a higher-quality strap.

The seller is cheating, as this bag appeared to be made of nubuck leather, not smooth one, which makes this bag looking cheap.

The bag looks great, but I have the same problem as many other reviewers. The strap where the hinge connects to the clip keeps popping open. Just called customer service about this and now I have to drive 2 hours out of my way to go to a Samsonite store where they can determine if it's my fault or a manufacturing defect. Kind of wish I went with a different bag.

Overall Positives:

1) Looks good.

2) Small and Compact

3) Fits my Mac 15.3" very well.

Negatives:

1) The hinge broke and the strap no longer works after only a few months.

2) The flap doesn't stay down well (velcro could easily fix this though).

3) A bit expensive for what it is.

4) Customer service should just send me a strap for free like the other reviewers to keep me as a loyal customer instead of making me go out of my way so I can 'maybe' get my bag fixed. Probably will not buy a Samsonite again because of their customer service.

Nice size black leather flapover. Well made & it was the perfect gift as a replacement to an old one. Alot of compartments in the inside. The only thing was that the black color of the bag appears shinnier on the como uter photos, however thre actual flapover has a duller black appearance. Othetwise, this Samsonite Flapover is exactly what I was looking for! There's also a brown colored option which looks nice!
