I knocked one star off for the appearance (if it could have been a half star, I would have done a half star). In general, I LOVE the appearance. Perfect color and great size for my small 5'3" frame. My only complaint is the Osprey logo. The picture on amazon shows that the background for the logo is the same green as the backpack, but on mine it is black (same as the pictures for Ember Orange or Limestone on Amazon), which is kinda garish and ugly. Otherwise it is perfect. So I bought this to use primarily as a business trip / travel pack to carry my tablet, portfolio, earbuds, jacket, charging cables, etc. ... you get it. I am really impressed with the layout and construction.
I appreciate having small items organized and separated and this pack has pen slots, a key clip and 4 zippered small pockets (3 outside, 1 inside). Additionally it has vertical dividers in the main compartment to keep a laptop and papers/notebook separate from one another and the rest of the main compartment (jacket and lunch for example). At the top of the forward-most slot there is a stretchy pocket for your iPhone or mp3 player with dual access out the top of the pack for your earbud wires and a hydration tube. It is also hydration ready (bladder not included), although I don't expect to use that capability for airport/airline travel as it will hit too much TSA static. Regarding using a hydration bladder, I wish the pack had a clip or loop on the top inside of the pack to 'hang' the bladder from. I'll probably fabricate something for that use when I use the pack for dayhikes.
No other small, lightwieght pack I looked for seemed to have all these features, and the pack seems to have been designed precisely for my intensions.
This is my first Osprey pack and the construction is absolutely first-rate... high quality, lightweight materials with thoughtful, professional construction. This pack will last and it doesn't weigh any more than it should. The attention to detail with details also impressed me. For example, the sternum strap buckle has an emergency whistle molded right into it. Not sure if or when I'll ever use it, but it's cool that the designers wanted to put all these extra touches into the pack. Those are clearly a matter of design choice that is contrary to and generally gets bull-dozed under to minimize manufacturing cost and unit price.
Kudos Osprey! Thanks for an outstanding, functional pack that is at a great price-point.

I got this pack for my partner and thus far she loves it! The two built in pockets inside the pack work equally well for notebooks, laptops, or a hydration pack. The little mesh hammock inside the main compartment is great for smaller items you don't want crushed on the way to your destination, or for anything that needs to be easy-access.The only reason I bumped down a star is the exterior pockets: yes, you can fit small items in there, especially if they are rather flat, but if you have a few things in the main compartment getting anything out of the exterior pockets can be a chore; as the pressure from inside the pack compacts the exterior pocket space. It would almost be better to have exterior elastic pockets for water bottles instead of the zip-ups. Aside from this minor detail this pack is a great buy!this backpack is adorable. it is bright and happy and is lightweight and functional. not too big but plenty of space for a day pack, traveling, etc.If you need a bag for your computer, some papers/magazines and a stash of lunch and/or some extra clothing this is a great bag. It holds letter sized papers/folders/magazines in a section just in front of the laptop sleeve. That helps with keeping them from getting wrinkled and makes them easy to find. High marks for comfort, usability, design and color. I don't have any use for the ice axe loop so I wish it was not there to get hung up on things. I wish the waist belt was removable for times I don't need it.
