Zalman Ultra-Quiet Notebook Cooler, Model ZM-NC1000 (Black)
Targus Compact Laptop Desk AWE56US (Black with Gray)
Compaq Presario CQ62-210US Laptop PCI was looking for a durable, water resistant bag to tote around a rather awkwardly sized laptop, and this bag did not disappoint. Can accommodate basically any notebook I've ever seen, and has ample space for other stuff as well. The organization pockets are pretty good, but the little net-pouch inside sometimes lets small objects fall out if the bag tips over. The shoulder strap is a little awkward sometimes on a bike, but far superior to my old bag. The durability and construction are impressive. It has suffered hard use for nearly a year at my hands and I've yet to see a single frayed edge or stretched seam. Looks good too.

I bought this after trying and returning numerous laptop cases. I absolutely love this bag. It has enough space for my 15.4 laptop, Ac Adapter, Mouse, Dvds and other stuff too. It's light to carry and good looking too. And at $40 the price is right too. Did I mention it's well made too. You simply can't go wrong with this bag. Buy It!I have a 15.4" Lenovo laptop that I bought this for. Unfortunately, it does not fit in the padded section. I do like this bag and will keep it, but I had to by a sleeve for my laptop and it fits infront of the padded section. If you have a 15.4" laptop, I suggest buying a 17" bag!!!Want Targus Incognito Backpack Case Designed for 15.4 Inch Laptops TSB118US Black) Discount?
I have carried a Macbook Pro 15.4" and 13.3" Asus UL30A in this bag (sometimes at the same time) daily for 3 years now (since 2008), through thunderstorms, airports, etc. including power adapters and spare batteries, plus phone charger, USB cables, headset and earphones, and occasionally a spare external USB hard drive or two. I often ride a bike with a laptop in the padded compartment and a set of tools (wrenches, mini ratchet set, vise grips, all in a plastic bag) on the other side. Everything always arrives at its destination in the same condition that it left. The bag basically looks the same--inside and out--as it did the day I bought it, despite repeated soakings, heavy use, and many hours in the sun.Pros:
1) This bag is essentially waterproof (within reason). I have ridden a bike with it in torrential downpours for 20+ minutes without a drop getting inside. I wouldn't recommend doing this on a regular basis, but if you get caught unprepared, this bag should be able to handle it until you can get under cover or throw on a raincoat or poncho.
2) The main compartment and front pouch both have lockable zippers (with your own locks, that is), a big plus when riding through less savory areas or if you don't trust your fellow airplane passengers (I don't, especially on frequent 9-10 hour flights).
3) Easy to remove a laptop for airport security screening. It's not quite as fast as a flip open case, but I like the extra security of my laptop a) staying under cover in the rain (that happens more often than airline screenings) and b) staying inside my bag in a lockable compartment.
My only minor quibbles are:
1) The main compartment zipper sometimes separates. Not a big deal, but I would certainly pay another $5 (or even $10) for a sturdier zipper and zipper pulls with loops that are specifically designed for locks (the current ones lock well enough, though if someone really wants to get into my bag, they'll just cut it).
2) The strap is not very easy to adjust and the pad could be a bit thicker.
3) The vinyl cladding at the bottom of the case is starting to wear away at one corner, but after 3 years of relatively heavy use, that is the ONLY mark on the outside of the bag.
4) The velco fuzz strap on the laptop compartment is showing some wear from the hook velcro on the laptop compartment, but again, this is a minor issue all they (or I) have to do is lengthen the fuzzy fabric patch on the strap and this problem wouldn't arise. However, this is the ONLY sign of wear inside of the bag after 3 years of daily use.
Why 5 stars, then? This bag is better designed (in my view) for laptops than other bags that cost 3-4 times as much I think it would be tough to find a better value in a laptop bag. I'm not sure how long it will last, but if/when it eventually wears out (my guess is at least another 3-4 years), I hope Targus still makes them (especially if they incorporate some of my suggestions here)!
