The good:the carryon has been with me throughout maybe 20+ trips and is still as functional/sturdy as the day it arrived. All the luggage is lightweight and has traveled with me both domestically and internationally.
The bad: The larger bags have been checked and were both damaged on separate trips with Delta, domestically. One could possibly be fixed, the other has wheel and clam shell damage. The bag that can be fixed had totally bad sewing along the seam opposite the zipper. When I received it at baggage check, the zippered side was still together, but the non-zippered seamed side was completely split open, like a knife almost had loosened the threads. The clam shell was fine. I should probably give it a 2star. I've had to replace both larger pieces, but the little guy is still fine, and I really WANT to like these bags... I've had my fair share of Samsonite and other bags, but these were becoming favorites before the seam split on the last trip. I am faulting Delta on the wheel/clam shell damage, but the seam splitting, that's just bad manufacturing. It happened on my outgoing flight so I had to pay for a new bag to get home.

I had bought these bags in feb 2009. It looks good and appears to be very durable. The silver color looks as described and is easy to clean the bags after trips being hard case. Also the silver color also makes it stand out at the airport as most bags are darker in color. The bags are 20, 24 and 28 inch upright. The 24 and 28 inches are good for international travel as I have used it to travel to India, mexico and Aruba. But on a recent delta flight to Hawaii, the bag was completely damaged. There were big cracks on the hardshell which cannot be repaired. The bags lasted for 3 yrs only and since these bag has 6 yrs warranty advertised on it decided to check out the warranty info. Here is the link. The warranty clearly states that there us 6 yrs warranty on the bags but when you read the information carefully it states that it does not include damage due to airline travel. Its clear that the breaking of the hard-shell is just a proof of bad quality and 6 yr warranty is just to lure customers to buy their luggage because baggages mainly get damaged during travel and not just sitting around at home.

This is the first time ever I have written a review on anything but felt the need to share my opinion. Very first airline trip from Reno to LAX on SWA resulted in breakage ( giant cracks ) of the 2 large cases! Never noticed until checking in with Air New Zealand & they showed us the cracks. They said we should take them back over to SWA as the policy with most airlines is to have replacement luggage available. This would have caused too much of an hassle since neither my husband nor I are of an age to trek back & forth at LAX not to mention unpacking 2 large cases and repacking replacements assuming SWA even offered this program ! So here we are in New Zealand with 4 pieces of luggage, 2 of the largest pieces broken and cracked beyound repair! I realize that Roman has a warrenty BUT that information is in the USA AND, I'm not sure that they wouldn't ask for the luggage to be shipped back to them???? Personally, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT....... Now back to the drawing board to find luggage that will actually last longer than one, short trip!
