Thule Crossover 60 Liter Rolling Upright w/ Detachable Race Pack

If you know how to pack this bag will afford you some extra room to add a few more items in lieu of a carry-on. I would say it is the perfect intermediate bag for when you just have too much stuff for a carry-on, but not enough to pack a giant bag. It looks amazing and I have yet to come across another Thule bag in baggage claim (I have a couple). The larger wheels make moving around so much easier, and the zippers definitely have a nice smooth pull to them. To sum it up: I would call this bag an "in-betweener" as something for a slightly longer than carry-on trip, but not long enough for a 80+ liter bag. I bought it just before taking a 10 day trip and I would opt for a larger bag on a trip that long next time. Fortunately I was carrying a snowboard and had ample room in the board bag on that trip. Overall I am happy with this purchase, as I have been with all my Thule gear. Thule will be getting some more money from me when I purchase this bag's larger brother soon after I finish writing this review.

Very nice piece of luggage. I use the detachable backpack everyday for work. I am working temporarily in Johannesburg, and the luggage handled the flight brilliantly.

One complaint, the "lock" for the small crushproof area is a small piece of bungy cord which broke before I even made it to the airport. Otherwise, rock solid.

I really like this peice of luggage. It was somewhat smaller than I had hoped to get.. If your going on a 3-4 day trip it probably just the right size for most males. I usually work a few more days so, the larger one would have provided that added space that I needed.

The quality is excellent though. The wheels are a great feature for treking though small amounts of water puddles and snow in the winter. Overall, as a seasoned traveler I give it 4 stars!

Doesn't seem quite as rugged as claimed by Outside Magazine. Zippers are small, cheap and unprotecetd by the usual fabric flap. Wheels protrude in such a way that I just know the TSA and USAIR folks will not have to try hard to inflict crippling damage Fabric...nothing to write home about. Try RedOxx luggage....it blows Thule away!
