eBags eTech 2.0 Macroloader Laptop Backpack
I was looking for a roomy backpack for travel. After extensive shopping, I settled on a different backpack.Upon arrival, I found that that backpack just didn't have the room I expected. Therefore, I moved on to this
eBags backpack. I am delighted with it. Lots of room to stuff a light jacket AND my ample purse, along with
my ipad, water, etc. Thus getting around the number of bags being carried on to the plane. This bag appears
to be very well made. I usually don't write reviews until I have used the product extensively. I feel certain
that this pack IS what I need. LOTS OF ROOM!!! And it is a pretty color. ;)I am a big fan of the eBags brand and own several items already including a Downloader laptop knapsack from 2005. That bag is still going strong but unfortunately I now need a bigger bag to accommodate my many larger and heavier school books. The Macroloader is a wonderful bag and will not disappoint.
The e-reader pocket is a great feature. It lies in the main compartment adjacent to the anterior wall of the laptop compartment so it's protected on that side. The main compartment is huge and can accommodate all of the books I need for class and then some. The front storage area is chock full of pockets both with and without light padding. The padded ones are great for your smartphone, voice recorder, camera or MP3 player. There are mesh pockets which are great because you can see exactly what's in there a good place for headphones, USB cables and small miscellaneous wires. The side pockets are a bigger than my Downloader knapsack. The mesh side pocket is great for a water bottle and since it's now bigger the water bottle seems fit much better. The other side pocket has a leash for your keys so you always know where they are in addition to loops for pens, pencils and lip balm. Last but not least, there is a front zip pocket for things you need to get to immediately.
A few changes I would like to suggest to the ebags design team is to include a 3-sided foam insert inside the laptop compartment. It would be a big help for folks like me who do not have a large laptop. I only have an 11.6" computer and it shifts around so much in the laptop compartment. In order to solve the problem, I insert the computer horizontally so it fits snugly without too much movement. I took the foam insert from my old Downloader and place it on top of the laptop. There is still plenty of space on top of that where I put my power adapter brick and emergency umbrella. For all of you out there with larger laptops, this bag will be perfect.
Apera Duffel Pack
I just received this backpack and WOW. Its more than I expected. This pack traveled with me across the USA twice....and boy did it make life easier. Pockets, pockets and more pockets....all to make those things you need the most, safe. Phone pockets, shoe pockets. ipad pockets...I've worn over 50 backpacks in my life...easily the most comfortable. This is all cool....but the fact this material the bag is made of is bacteria free....its a healthy way to tote those sweaty damp clothes or shoes, along with your electronics and even that apple your going to eat a bit later. This bag is the balm.Pokemon Pikachu Large Backpack
Backpack is cute, and seemed to be very well made. Backpack material was sturdy-feeling. I loved that it had 2 outer pockets, combined they were just the right size for his 'pocket items'.Notice the WAS. Unfortunately, the zipper came off one of the tracks today (10-11-11). School started 9-7-11, so it only lasted about 6 weeks. The rest of the backpack is still in great shape. We tried to pry open the zipper piece to put it back on it's track, but a small amount of pressure on the zipper and it snapped apart permanently. The ends of the track were completely sewn into the body of the backpack, so it was impossible to separate the track from the backpack (so we could put the zipper back on track and retack the track to the body of the pack). So the backpack is useless now...we're off to order a Lands End backpack like I wanted to do in the first place, before I gave in to Pokemon fever from my 6 year old. Perhaps this is just a fluke, or perhaps he pulled really hard?? Not sure, but Lands End will warranty it for life if this happens, and we have no recourse on a no-name product. My son loves itits a good size for all his stuff as well. It goes to school with him every day!
Baggallini Luggage Big Sydney
These bags are so function able and fashionable! Many compartments, light weight, the adjustable strap can be both over the shoulder and across the body? Great for travel, great for busy women or anyone who needs to carry allot and have hands free!I had the Baggallini Dublin before and loved it but this one fits everything without being too heavy. Well thought out pockets although I miss the pen pockets rather than the little loops that don't fit. I love this bad and will use it till it dies!!Baggalilinis are the best bags. Well made, sturdy and good looking. This orange one is perfect for summer. There is room to store everything in it with lots of pockets both inside and out. The large is the best for me as I carry a lot of stuff and it's easy to organize it all. Best of all these bags are completely washable.Olympia Luggage Blue 21'' Spinner Upright Luggage SKY BLUE
Received my item within 3 days and I am very happy with it! Rolls very smooth and the inside pockets are divided so its easier to organize smaller items.Nice piece, I bought the blue, green, and the black. All three arrived in mint condition. I needed a new bag with the four wheels that you can push easily. Bingo, it has worked perfectly for several trips. The color is just as pictured a vivid light turquoise blue, even my 10 and 5 year old grand daughters took notice. It is not very big, however it works nicely for enough clothes for three days. The two outside compartments are handy. It has some waterproof pockets inside. Most of all it pushes easily! That's why most of of have made the switch. I have a bad back and travel frequently so this little overhead size works perfectly.Want Olympia Luggage Blue 21'' Spinner Upright Luggage SKY BLUE Discount?
Nike Brasilia 5 Medium Duffel Grip
My son is a swimmer and needed something that could carry workout clothes, school clothes, 2 pairs of shoes, 2 towels, soap/shampoo, a jammer, and snacks. I was worried before ordering that bag that there would be enough room. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived as it is exactly the right size for all of his stuff. It's also a light weight, yet well built. There are separate compartments to keep things separated. Shoes go on one end, snack on the other. The adjustable shoulder strap is padding and curved so it conforms to your shoulder perfect if you ride a bike or motorcycle.Basically, if you are a swimmer, soccer, basketball or other sports player and need to keep everything in one bag for your busy lifestyle, this is exactly what this is for. You could fit a ball in here too if you made room. And yes, this is genuine Nike gear.Excellent Quality for the price! The bag is very sturdy, and well made. I would recomend it to others! Just what I was looking for!

This is a great bag. The only reason I didn't give it a five is because I would like a front outside pocket. Other than that it is a great bag. It fits in the locker easly and the zippers open smoothly. Room in this bag is not a problem. When i go to the gym I pack a towel, a sweat towel, shoes, jeans, shirt, underwear, swimming gear, shower gear, two water bottels (blender shaker type), flip flops and there is still room. If you are looking for a gym bag this is one you should consider.Read Best Reviews of Nike Brasilia 5 Medium Duffel Grip Here
This bag is large enough for my basketball, uniform, shoes, and I still have room left over. The straps are well sewn.I expected a smaller bag. The bag is a bit too big to go to the gym or track practiceOsprey Kode 30 Pack
I bought this pack for 2-3 day backpacking trips around Southern California. It's a top-loader, so packing everything in requires a bit of push and pull, but the pack is light, fits very snugly against the body, and is not bulky. The hip support system is phenomenal. I had 40 pounds in my pack, and could barely feel it on my shoulders or back.Another great thing about this pack is the back itself. There's a mesh frame and supports that hold the pack away from your back, so there's plenty of room for air circulation. No more sweaty backs!
Highly customizable, highly portable, highly recommended. This pack has a purpose, it is a ventilated pack. It does this job extremely well by letting air flow around your back. It also has hole filled shoulder/hip straps that are surprisingly rugged and comfy.
This pack has a lot of cool features. From those rounded mini bungee/soft-plastic zipper rings, shoulder straps with a whistle, a stretch pocket in front, axe holsters, mesh pockets on the hip straps, floating removable top compartment, just about everything.
I'm in love with mine. I tried on anything and everything REI had, it was between this and a Deuter pack with similar off the back construction, but the Osprey out-classed it by far.
The easiest 5 stars I've ever givenThis pack is perfect for full weekend hikes. The best part for me is how much it breathes and keeps my body cool on a long hot day of backpacking and the weight distribution is perfect. If you are considering this pack you should get it.

i use my backpack for both resort skiing and some serious backcountry.pro:
-feels great when loaded with skis poles, other gear
-holds pleantly of hydration
-side pockets are large enough for camera, phone, wallet, etc
cons:
-floats a little bit when backpack is loaded for 6-8 lbs or less
-the "black" backpack is not black but a grey... not even a dark grey but a grey grey. black is a mislable
-little hard to get into the pack when in the backcountry.
wish:
-the pack was actually black
-there was an exterior pocket that was easily accessable with simply day use storage (flashlight, wallet, sandwitch, etc)
OVERALL:
i tried on over 15 different packs. this pack had the best features, was the most comfortable when loaded, and had a better design than most. is it perfect? no. but its the best out there right now for backcountry skiing.

I've had an Osprey Atmos 65 for a few years and absolutely love it. Recently I got an Atmos 50 (size large) for hikes for which I don't need quite so much capacity, and it's a hit too. Same quality workmanship and design, it's very light, distributes the load well, and has just enough bells and whistles without a lot of confusing straps and pockets that don't add much except weight. The mesh back panel is great, letting air circulate over your back, and it creates a nice pocket for a hydration bladder. I had my doubts about the trekking pole straps, but now I'm a convert. I tend to use my poles only for steep ups and downs and for stream crossings, but this used to mean I was constantly taking my pack on or off to get or stow my poles, or I was asking a hiking partner for help. But with some practice I can now easily access my poles, use them, and then return them, all without dropping the pack.I've never met anyone with an Osprey who didn't rave about it. Ignore that ignoramus who gave it two stars without having even tried it on.

The quality is good, but a little bit thin, and have some smell when just received it.Not bad ..Cute case, I bought it for a Bamboo Tablet, the only thing is it smells really bad, petroleum sort of smell, it seems to finally be fading a bit, but if you have allergy issues with that sort of thing, do not buy this.

I just purchased a Samsung Series 9 13.3" Ultrabook and was looking for an inexpensive, but unique protective sleeve for my Ultrabook when placing it inside my tote, backpack, or when carrying it singly, etc. This one fit the bill.It may be just a tad "roomy" but it serves it's purpose well "protection" for my brand new Ultrabook. Now, it's not guaranteed 100% protection as that is left on me. But, it surely does help the remaining 5%. :)
I like the design on the sleeve, it's not really "bright" or outlandish. It's just unique and dainty and the coloring in it is really pretty. I'm not so worried about the "white" on the backside dirtying up per se. Neoprene is easy very easy to clean.
So, yeah it's a Neoprene sleeve meant to provide protection for an Ultrabook or the Mac's that others own :)
Fiver stars for a nicely made, durable sleeve.
:)Pretty pattern and not too bulky so fits nicely in my briefcase or tote bag. Good price and happy with this purchaseThe case fits my laptop. It is cute and there are no defects with the case. I am pleased with this product.
Osprey Exos 34 Backpack
The Exos pack is awesome. It has just enough padding on the hip belt to create comfort provided you are an ultralight weight hiker. The straps are minimal as are the buckles exactly what you would expect from an ultralight weight product. But they are sturdy. I'm no easy on equipment and I haven't been "easy" on this pack but it has held up well. Plus you won't find one lighter. Easy access to everything. Perfect pockets for that stuff you just have to stash. It's a very nice pack. I use the 34 as a daypack particularly for extremely cold winer outings. I have all three sizes of this pack. The Exos 34 is the smallest member of Osprey's Exos lightweight pack series. I purchased this pack to use on an 11-day hike around Mont Blanc, where we would be spending some nights in mountain refuges. So I would not be needing to carry full overnight gear, but a few more items than I would need for just day hiking.I found this pack perfect for that trip. I was attracted to the light weight, yet it was sturdy enough that it suffered no noticeable wear. The suspension was very comfortable with the 15 or 20 lb load I was carrying--including DSLR camera and enough extra clothing for September in the Alps.
I had seen the Exos 58 in a store but was not able to find the "34". So I bought the 34 from Amazon `sight unseen'. Although the three Exos packs are basically different sized versions of the same pack design, I discovered a few differences that are not easy to pick up when reading the Osprey website or the Amazon product description. While the 58 and 46 have a padded hipbelt, the 34's hipbelt is just mesh. When I first realized this, I was concerned that it would be uncomfortable, but I didn't find this to be so.
The pocket configuration is also different among the three Exos variants. The Exos 34 also does not have the vertical zippered front pocket(s) featured on the 46 and 58. However I found the pockets that the Exos 34 does have to be quite adequate. I especially liked the stretchy front pocket, which was ideal for maps and an extra clothing layer.
You definitely need a good rain cover if you expect some weather! The pack contents got wet in an intermittent rain on a hike before our trip. The brand-new (not Osprey) rain cover I purchased for the trip also failed to keep things dry on our one stormy day. So get a rain cover and test it.
I'm a bit puzzled by Osprey's sizing method. Using the Osprey template, I was a perfect Small, but when I tried on several Osprey packs, I was told that the Small was a little too small from waist to shoulders, yet the medium's waistbelt was obviously too large. (I'm a 5'4" 110 lb female.) But whatever, the small size seems to work fine.

This bag has been with me across two continents, in freezing mountain conditions and in the fiery desert. It is ultralight, holds a good amount of gear, and is very functional. The straps and pockets are well-designed. The trampoline back is a highly, highly appreciated feature, as it keeps air flowing between the bag and your back. The weight is just phenomenally light.Keep the weight under 30 pounds inside, definitely, and this pack will make you sing with joy. Also, the dimensions are within airline guidelines for carry-on, so you never have to check this bag!!

Lots of folks who buy these packs do so for a lot sexier reasons than I did. As boring as they may seem, my reasons were twofold:1) I frequently take flights to destinations that cannot be reached in less than two or three "legs". Seems I am destined to never fly nonstop anywhere. The end result is invariably that one leg or more are on smaller 140-ish passenger planes with very limited overhead storage. I was weary of checking my carry-on at the plane door several times during a trip. I wanted a true, stay-with-me carry-on solution that was lightweight, "flexible" in how it is filled (in order to stuff it in the overhead) and yet large enough for the typical 3-5 day trips I take. And of course easy enough to haul through airports.
2) On occasion this will be used for very limited backpacking/camping, 1-2 overnights and not in the harshest of conditions.
While I am older and travel mostly by plane nowadays, I did a fair amount of backpacking when younger, including lots of time in the Adirondacks and all of the Northern Peaks of the White Mountains, as well as Mt. Washington.
Anyways, with my current goals in mind I started doing a LOT of research on packs. The Osprey Exos line kept coming up during my search, and after poring over all the material I could find, I decided on the large size Exos 34. If you were wondering about capacities and weights for this pack:
Small: 2624 cu in, weight 1010g
Medium: 2807 cu in, 1050g
Large: 2990 cu in, 1100g
The large size pack is very light by my standards, and to my engineering mind it is VERY well designed. Love the flexibility they built in and it is obvious these packs were tested extensively in the field and the feedback was put into the design.
Love the straps and the possibilities they present, I have no complaints there. Even though in "airport" mode I tuck the waist belt between the mesh and the pack itself (thus I have no complaints or kudos for the waist belt as I rarely use it). Would seem fine for a 15-20lb load however. Other loose straps I simply tie up or tuck in somewhere when not in use.
I have a (Sea to Summit) rain cover for other packs and would use that if the need arose. In my "home testing", it fits fine.
I always use either packing cubes or compression sil packs, so the fact that it is one large top-entry chamber does not bother me. The bottom of the main chamber does flare out to the waist belt, which means I "lose" a bit of space there by using cubes. Other than that unbelievably minor nit, the main bag holds exactly what I need (although I had to pare down my typical 5-day packing list, which is never a bad exercise).
Love the compression straps being able to go inside or outside the mesh bottle pockets. Nice to have in "hustling flight to flight mode" to store water bottles on the go. Compression straps are handy to make sure this fits in the smaller overheads (sideways, for which you may suffer the wrath of fellow passengers). I have not used a water bladder with this pack but again it seems a well-thought-out design.
This pack not only has met my current needs but also gives me the itch to get back out on the trails. And should that involve the need for a larger pack, I would not hesitate to get a larger Osprey. I enjoy using items that I feel the designers put their heart and soul into, and this pack definitely fits that category IMO.Bought this bag before coming to Afghanistan and walk to work with it almost everyday and love it! I will be taking it hiking in Europe as well as to Everest Base Camp and also on the AT. Very comfortable, ample room for light backpacking and I also get a lot of complements on it. It has a lot of what seem like superfluous straps that I have no use for but they don't really bother me. Very light weight and sturdy frame and I love the air gap between me and the bag. I love this bag.
Acme Made Courier Gradual Squares 15.4-Inch Laptop Bag (Brown/Black)
The bag would probably keep out water to an extent, but because of the nature of the checkered surface being cottony, I'm dubious it would look nice after a serious dousing. Likewise the cloth strap, which is not detachable. Also, while the bag fit my specific needs exactly this is not the bag to get if you're somebody who likes to overstuff your bag. If you put just a little too much in the front compartment, it's not going to adjust well, and makes keeping the lid shut via the magnets (which are cool) difficult. It also does not have the 'expanding zipper' like some fancier bags do, to give your bag some extra room if you'd need it once in a while. Similarly the interior. If you put your 15" laptop in here, plus a slim writing pad or ipad, and the power supply + cords, that is all that is going to fit. (Ok you can probably fit a magazine or two in the back zipper pocket).
The original reviewer who gave 1 star for 'false advertising' is not off the mark. The bag is indeed a dark brown, which is difficult to see in the photo, but the bag front with the checkers does look exactly like that. Also note that the zippers are a goldish color. I don't think these guys deserve 1 star for their product, but yeah, the photo could be better. The bag pictured in the image is black with brown squares. The bag I received was brown with black squares. Nothing kills me more than false advertising

17.3" Laptop Sleeve with Extra Side Pocket , Soft Carrying Handle & Removable Shoulder Strap / Note
Love this! So soft and shock resistant. Many patterns and colors to choose from.I even purchased the decal to match and put on the top of my laptop. This bag is very nice. Thicker than I thought it would be. In terms of protection it should protect a laptop from bumps, but I would be very sure not to drop it.
I have an ASUS 17.3 gaming laptop that just fits into this bag. It's quite snug, but it fits. I was very happy that it did. I have had trouble finding a bag that this laptop will fit into.
This bag is a nice sleek way to carry just my laptop and the cord and a wireless mouse in. The cord and mouse fit into the pocket that takes up one entire side of the bag on the outside. That pocket zippers shut.
The strap has a very nicely padded handle.
One bad thing about this bag is that is smells. I assume the smell will wear off after a bit. But it smells like rubber.
I bought this bag to use a protective sleeve, and it will work quite nicely for that. But it can also be used as something to carry just the laptop around in on short trips. I would not travel with this bag unless it was inside another.
Ness Eli Diaper/Tote Bag
I just bought the Eli bag (in camel) from the Ness website. I bought it because I was looking for a convertible backpack that wasn't ugly. I really want to love this bag it has a timeless style and is great quality. But I am having issues. First, there aren't enough pockets. Exterior: two small flap pockets (big enough for smart phone and few small items), one flat snap-close pocket (under the buckles to the front handle). Interior: two small elastic pockets, one large elastic pocket, one small zipper pocket. I'd really like two additional designated sippy cup pockets in the corners of the bag, but they aren't there. The straps are comfortable, but the shoulder straps are a little small and are better used as a clutch handle.Overall, this is a great quality bag and I am really happy with the look. If there were just a few more pockets, I would be sold. I am still undecided if I'm going to return this and instead go with the Petunia Pickle Bottom Sashay Satchel (more room, more pockets).
Tumi Unisex-Adult Alpha Tumi T-Pass Laptop Bag
I bought this backpack and have been using it for over a year at this point. This pack is perfect for anyone who travels a lot for work.Construction of the pack iteself is solid as other reviews have noted. The material is heavy duty. The stictching is well reinforced. Pulls on this pack are made out of sturdy metal pieces. Even the handle on the top is stitched well then reinforced with rivets which allows the pack to hang quite nicely off the front of a roller board luggage hook.
Other Pros:
Comes with a separate zip pouch (removable). I use this for my charging plugs, cords, etc.
There are lots of pockets in which to store and organize your stuff
The middle compartment is large. Some people want dividers here, but I think it's perfect to allow for slightly larger items.
The back computer compartment unzips and folds out like a butterfly allowing you to push it through metal detectors without having to remove your laptop (as long as nothing else is stored in there with it).
Cons:
Price: The backpack is rather expensive. Worth it if you travel a lot for work.
Weight: Because it is sturdy and roomy it weighs more than other bags. I'm a 5'2" woman and I find this acceptable.
Size: Both a plus and a minus. You can store lots of stuff. This bag is a bit too wide to easily store, however, under an airline seat on the aisle (those seats are narrower than the window and middle seats in many planes). That means storing in an overhead bin always if you have the side pockets full.
With a year's worth of use on this bag, I have yet to identify any real ware and/or failure on the bag. So far, it's been very reliable and useful.Very durable and a lot of space. Not light at all. But a nice choice for road warriors! T pass is very good to save time

i've been looking for a more functional and appropriate carry-on bag to be used for long haul trips to international destinations (not adventure travel) focused on culture and cities. My goal was a bag that passes through TSA easily, has separate computer spot and mutliple pockets to accomodate all accessories, snacks, batteries, etc. This bag does the trick, I am able to put my computer and ipad in the TSA approved pocket. Inside i am able to securely pack a Nikon DSL with 16-85 lens, 50mm lens, binoculars, with ample room to add magazines, headphones, snacks, and compact tripod. I am using the very top outside pocket to house lens cleaning equipment and sunglasses. The left pocket has all my power accessories, the right pocket has my international GPS with power. the two front pockets will hold passport and filters, lens caps. Now it does not come with the all the foam dividers , but that is easily adjusted for by using a t-shirt and buying a foam block that you can customize to your needs.
