The hoodie part is a little annoying to remove and put back on, but that makes me feel secure that my iPad won't slide out. We use it for the iPad3 with a flip cover on it, and Goodle's Nexus 7 at the same time, they fit well together, the Nexus doesn't move around much with this configuration. The back side is ridgid, the colors are bright, and it is sewn and constructed very well.

I bought this bag at an REI in Maryland. I spent about 45 minutes looking at the different backpacks they had and this was absolutely the best one. None of the North Face bags were as appropriate for me as this Outdoor Products bag is. I really researched the right backpack for Heavy Travel while lugging around a Laptop and Photo Equipment. I recently picked up this bag to replace my High Sierra Access Backpack, which by the way, was my favorite backpack until now. Over the month and a half that I have been using the Outdoor Products Power Laptop Pack 2.0, I have come to really like it as a daily bag. I typically carry quite a bit with me. Being geeky by nature and an Amateur radio operator, I am always totting along several electronics.
Backpack is awesome for motorcycle riders that need to carry a laptop. I enjoy using the hard shell for attaching bumper stickers or just stickers in general. Fits well and doesn't have a buckle that will scratch my tank, this is the best laptop backpack for motorcycle people. It is even very water resistant as I've not gotten anything inside get wet and I ride in the rain a lot.
It's a one academic year backback only. It's only two months old and the seams are already showing signs of giving way and the shiny trim around the edges is fraying. For the price it was fine but expect to buy another one for next year.

My son loves his new back pack. It's roomy and seems sturdy enough for his needs. I was surprised at the glittery background in the fabric in a back pack for boys. Thankfully, it didn't seems to bother my son. He wanted a back pack that didn't leave out Hawkeye, and this was one of the few that did not.

Nice bag, I've managed to feel very organised within it, mainly due to the the top hanging pocket and the smaller pockets on shoulder and waist straps. Interesting location for the bladder storage, it sits outside the main compartment and allows you to fit more into actual bag. Lightweight with lashpoints and compression strapping I really like this bag for my summer overnighters, carrying bug bivvy, tarp, sleeping pad & bag, trekking pole, some food and a spare change of shirt etc etc. It ticks all the boxes for my lightweight minimalist trips, love it. I use it for carrying general athletic stuff around the city, typically a water bottle, football gloves, clothes, rec specs, and sometimes shoes and a snack. The mesh top pouch is perfect for wallet/keys and anything that needs to be accessible. The side water bottle holders are very secure with the ties that wrap over them, but I now mainly use the stuff pocket on the outside because it is plenty secure and extremely convenient. The main pocket is large enough for shoes and miscellany, and could also comfortably hold a laptop if that's what you were using it for, although the lightweight construction means there's not a lot of padding for electronics.
I have a couple of Prana bags :) I buy them for friends and I recently got this particular bag for my mom. She loves it!! It's got a very Boho/Hippie feel to it, with little hints of Native American design. Prana makes great climbing gear and really can be trusted when it comes down to making quality product. I just wish they made more of it!! All in all this bag is very simple and hangs off the shoulder to your hip. It's a great every day satchel.
I just received this backpack and WOW. Its more than I expected. This pack traveled with me across the USA twice....and boy did it make life easier. Pockets, pockets and more pockets....all to make those things you need the most, safe. Phone pockets, shoe pockets. ipad pockets...I've worn over 50 backpacks in my life...easily the most comfortable. This is all cool....but the fact this material the bag is made of is bacteria free....its a healthy way to tote those sweaty damp clothes or shoes, along with your electronics and even that apple your going to eat a bit later. This bag is the balm.
I purchased this pack about a year ago, and have used it on too many day trips to count. It wears well, and seems to have a great deal of adjustability. I 6'5" tall, and weight 250+ and the pack fits me well! I use it to do my 5 mile training loop 3 times per week, as well as longer hikes on the weekends, and pack it full, so it's heavier....and it has done very well! I would buy another one! The only ding I can give it is that the closure system on the top is 5 straps, and requires a certain order to operate properly. It seems overkill, but it keeps the top flap very tight against the pack, and gives the top of the pack a lower profile. The lid seems to be another place to keep gear, since the straps are much longer than needed for a full pack....as if you could put another jacket, or something under it, and strap it to the top of the pack. I have never used this option, but it seems likely that it was designed for this. The hip straps support the weight of the pack well, while allowing free movement!...Great pack for the money!!

I bought this pack a month ago and immediately filled it with all of my gear for the great outdoors. It is comfortable and has many pockets. I like all of the D-rings available to load added gear to the outside of the pack. I bought a hydration pack from a different maker and it fits perfectly! My Katadyn water filter is an exact fit for the pocket on the side of the pack. My trekking poles fit perfectly behind/underneath the other outside pocket and are assured a tight fit due to the straps across the top of the pack. The top-flap of the pack has a zipper pocket that is large and holds sunglasses, cell phone or other gear one might need quickly. I bought a waterproof pack cover and it fits nicely inside of this top-flap pocket with a headlamp and battery-powered multi-function light stick. The best part of this pack are the thickly padded shoulder and waist straps. The waist strap is padded and has plenty of extra length for larger waists. ...Did I just admit to this?! The inside storage area is large and holds plenty of gear, even when the 2L water bladder is full. The only reason this pack only gets 4 stars is due to the fact that I would prefer (not very objective) to have larger teeth on the zippers. All of the zippers have worked just fine and I expect to get a lot of great use out of this new pack! Great job, Outoor Products! Picked this up at the ol' wally world, and I'm glad I did. It is a little small but that's why I bought it. I have a much larger kelty pack that I use for longer expeditions. Like other people, I agree that there is too many straps on the top, but that's the only thing that I have found wrong with it. It does have kind of an odd shape to it, kinda wide but not very tall or fat, this isn't a problem just something to notice. I've taken it on many small overnight hikes. It says its a "3 day" pack but that's going to happen. I pack similar to the nutnfancy(If you don't know who this is he packs with lots of extra items that most would find overkill for a hike and is prepared for just about anything on the trail). At the most I would say this could handle a 2 night, if you pack very light and you have access to a water. I can fit a small 2 person tent, a moderately sized sleeping bag and all food and water, as well as some other necessities (i.e. first aid, cooking things, ect). If the top of the pack was a little more simple then it would have gotten five stars but its still a very good pack. I'm excited to take it overseas later this month. this bag is a great size for a backpack that is needed for both hiking and cycling. it has alot of compression straps, plenty of room for stuff. however, the chest strap and waist strap both rely on small, breakable pieces of plastic. I wound up having to reinforce the chest strap myself with zipties and i had to completely replace the buckle on the waist strap. its a good backpack with great features that ultimately was sabatoged by cheap pieces of plastic (metal or something more robust could have been used instead). that all being said, i am currently using and enjoying this bag, but i had to take off two stars because of the poorly made buckle and chest piece.
The front has a flap covering a "wallet" that holds a good deal of cars and there is a zipper pocket for change. There is a zipper on the front (where I put my keys). The back has a pocket (I put a notepad and pen there). The cell pocket is useless too small unless you have an old flip phone. The inside unzips down the side of the bag and holds a lot more than you expect. Well constructed and looks nice. It doesn't slide off my shoulder, ever. I like it and it's saving my shoulder and back at the same time!

I purchased this bag for my husband, but he returned it, only because it was a bit too large for his needs. However, I wanted to write a review because I was impressed with the quality--for the price. I think this bag is beautifully constructed with very good leather. The stitching is fine, the overall attention to detail is not lacking. For $240, I doubt that you will find a better deal for this style of bag.
I've had the kensington contour roller for about 3 years. We've been everywhere together. 83 countries in fact. I've been very impressed with this bag. My old bag is a six star bag. Unfortunately, the wheels wore out and some of the stitching was starting to come apart. I've loved this bag, so choosing a new one wasn't going to be a problem. I bought this for my 2 year old. He's as big as a 4 year old but this still is HUGE on him.
This backpack was given as a gift. The recipient likes it and it is as comfortable to wear as any backpack can be.
I am super impressed with the quality of this bag. I was looking for a bag to hold ALL of my cycling stuff when I go to races, and this bag does the trick. Now I only have to make one trip from the car to the team tent. I went with the larger size and glad I did. Holds, helmet, shoes, clothes and all kinds of random gear.
I wanted a nice carry on that meets restrictions and this did nicely. The exterior materal looks nice and telescopic handle worked well. But the straps on top were under sized and looked cheaply sewed together which went into a closing grip handle that would not close so I returned it. In addition Ive had bag interiors rip on me before and this was poorly sewn on the inside the material was pulling at its stiches and I felt it would tear out in just a few uses. I hate to say it but I'm done ordering luggage on line. I am either to picky or just tired up seeing a nice picture but then holding it up close and getting disappointed.
Ive travelled internationally for my job for over a decade and I've come to expect a lot from the bags I use. In my early days, I had entire packs come apart flinging my stuff everywhere. This pack has all the bells and whistles you want in a pack. It has a pocket for everything located in the right place and you won't run out of room with it's capacity. My only gripe about this pack is the back panel. It's up against your back and doesn't allow any airflow between it, which means that your back will get sweaty quick. If the next iteration of this pack allowed some airflow or spaced padding to keep the back of the pack away from your back and allow airflow it would be a winner. I've returned the pack and will wait and see if Osprey will make that change. I bought both sizes when I considered purchasing the pack and at 5' 7.5" I decided to go with S/M. I purchased this backpack as my old messenger bag was starting to wear down my shoulder. It's perfect for carrying my MacBook Pro and books back and forth to school everyday. This bag would be great, if it weren't so big. I recommend opting for the small version. I ordered this one fearing the small would be too small. This is at least two inches taller and wider than a normal bag which makes it very awkward on your back. Other than the size it is a really well put together bag with really a nice pocket layout.
The backpack is really cute but no screws were sent for the rolling wheels. After paying $40 for a child's backpack, I have to go buy screws and assemble so that when my child pulls the backpack, the wheels don't fall off. Really disappointed!!!!!

Used this backpack in the half Geoquest adventure race (160km trek, kayak, tubing, mountain bike over 48 hours). The bag easily fits in all the mandatory race gear (med pack, thermals, gore jacket), food, 3L hydro port (bought separately) and other bits and pieces you'll need for a race. The pockets on the straps are great for bars and gels as are the front pockets on the waist straps which also readily accommodate a compass. I've trained with this bag almost daily and it's been bulletproof. The bag is easily adjustable and have had no back or knee issues with 2hr+, 9kg pack training runs in hilly national park terrain. The reflective material on the back and locations to clip in lights make it an ideal mountain bike bag as well.
