Mobile Edge ScanFast Onyx Backpack- 16-Inch PC/17-Inch Mac
This backpack/laptop bag is awesome! Light weight and room for lots of stuff in addition to the laptop. It says that it fits a 15.4" laptop but my 16" widescreen fits without a problem, and I am sure a 17" widescreen would fit in it too. The bag itself is very lightweight so to carry it with a laptop isn't a chore! I wanted a bag for my laptop that not only carried the laptop and other stuff, but looked good too, and this one delivers the whole package. Also, the fact that it is a checkpoint friendly backpack, meaning you don't have to unpack your laptop at the airport checkpoints is really cool. Just unzip the bag, lay it flat and through the scanner it goes. Makes getting through the checkpoints with a laptop so much easier and faster.I love this bag!!!!!I am 5'2" and am always dragging around enormous bags for all my work stuff. Hard to keep up with people at the airport. LOVE this bag; doesn't look bulky, holds all my stuff without looking overstuffed, and very comfortable on my back. Leaves hands free for other things (like Starbucks). Awesome!!!

The Amazon description should have said that this Mobile Edge model is designed for women. I am petite and found that the straps stayed on my shoulders much better than previous laptop backpacks I have owned. It also seemed lighter to carry even though I had more in it than in the backback I had been using. The ScanFast feature worked great -I just unzipped the compartment and was not asked to remove the laptop at the airport checkpoints. Note this backpack does not have a water bottle holder or a waist strap.Read Best Reviews of Mobile Edge ScanFast Onyx Backpack- 16-Inch PC/17-Inch Mac Here
This bag is great! Lightweight, lots of compartments for all my gadgets and plugs, don't have to take my laptop out in airport security and fashionable. It is very well made and a great value for the price. The only thing I would improve is the way the file folder section is made, hard to reach into since it is just a zipper compartment. Also I have no real good place to put my laptop power cord, I make do though since there are so many other perfect compartments.

I saw a woman carrying this bag at a convention & it immediately caught my eye. I asked where she got it and did an online search the next day & placed my order. Great buy! Lots of pockets and compartments to store various items. Light but durablle & very stylish! Love, love, love it!Kiva Luggage Compress-It Compressible Packing Cubes Set
I like these bags a lot. They do compress but the best thing about them is that they hold your items snugly and keep them from shifting around and getting wrinkled. They also remain pliable compared to the plastic compression bags which become rigid and are difficult to pack around. I did not over pack my case but the fabric around the zipper on the large pack frayed and came un-stitched. I simply sewed it back which reduced the overall capacity by a tiny amount but it is holding well. I had read reviews on other websites that the bags came un-stitched so was not surprised when it happened to me. Even with that, I would choose to purchase the item again. If you would be bothered by having to re-sew a bag, based on my experience and what I had read in other places, I would purchase a different bag. However, if you are fine with restitching a 2-4 inch section where the zippers come together, I would highly recommend this product. The method I used was hand sewing, rolling the fabric up against the zipper which provided more "bite" for the stress where the zippers came together. It took me 10-15 minutes and was very simple.these are great compressable packing cubes. ive read reviews on other sites that complain about the quality of the zippers, but i haven't enountered a problem. the large cube is the most versitle...it can hold about 8 t shirts with no problems. the medium cubes are too small for shirts, but could be good for undergarments, socks, bathing suits, etc. i wish kiva would offer different configurations of this item. i would love to have at least 3 of the large cubes for my packing needs. kiva, if you are reading this, please offer a set of just the large cubes!Buy Kiva Luggage Compress-It Compressible Packing Cubes Set Now
We used these on a recent trip to France. It has a zipper system to do the compression for space saving. They are small, socks, underwear, maybe t-shirts, & similar will fit. Mostly, I found the one I used to help with containment, as in keeping the stuff I stored in it neatly collected in one place. Plan to use again.Read Best Reviews of Kiva Luggage Compress-It Compressible Packing Cubes Set Here
I own a set of 3 Rick Steves Packing Cubes which are very nicely sized and function well. I needed an additional set of packing cubes for my wife, however, and was attracted to the idea that the Kiva cubes had compression capabilities. And while the Kiva cubes function great as packing cubes, the compression capabilities are lacking. The Kiva cubes are well constructed with solid sides and bottoms, along with mesh tops for viewing contents. The Kiva cubes dimensions are slightly smaller than the the Rick Steves version, but sizable enough to fit the desired amount of clothing. The cubes contain an additional zipper that wraps around the cube, which is designed to compress the cubes when closed. I found, however, that when the cubes are fully loaded, the zipper compression does not adequately compress the cube, and most of the time the compression zipper can't even close completely without fear of it breaking due to the strain. In the end, I didn't even bother with the compression zipper, and instead just treated the cubes like standard packing cubes.
I think Kiva should revisit their design if they want to create a compressible packing cube. Small side compression straps would function much better than the zipper system. I originally gave the product 4 stars because the packing cubes perform their main function well, but I removed a star because the compression system seems more gimmicky than useful. Given the higher cost and slightly smaller dimensions over the Rick Steves Packing Cubes, I would just as soon choose them over the Kiva Compression Cubes.

The compressible bag works well for sweaters, scarves, gloves and knit hats. The small size is perfect to throw into a purse or bag because it keeps the items together, prevents them from getting caught in keys, and makes it is easy to find when you need it. The compressible bag works less well for lycra items since those are already somewhat compressed by their nature. I found this particular pair of compressible bags a bit of a challenge with the zipper---I have a different set with a smoother zipper, but for some reason, the zipper on these snags. I needed to put my finger between the bag and zipper to get it working.Kipling New Large Baby Bag with Changing Mat TM2406 - Black
This bag is very nice and I'm sure it will work just fine. My only issue is the size. From the photo I imagined it to be slightly larger so I was a little disappointed. I'll be delivering my little one soon and just packed this bag with his/her hospital and homecoming essentials. I was able to fit two cloth diapers, two newborn outfits, one swaddling blanket, and my Moby but I can't see much else being able to fit in there. So again, very nice bag, just not as big as expected.I really love this bag, that is exactly the one I'm looking for, a bit disappointed about the delivery, should have been warned that I still have to pay the tax separately as I order this bag from US to UK. I don't mind paying it but at least I have an Idea.. all in all the product is absolutely beautifulBuy Kipling New Large Baby Bag with Changing Mat TM2406 - Black Now

Kipling simply makes high quality, long lasting products. I own many of their handbags and have found that they just last and last. When i saw that they offered a diaper bag, i could not resist. The material and style are great. Washable and durable. The zippers are heavy duty. I am expecting twins, so i'm not sure yet this will be big enough, but it will be enough for most trips. If you want a bag with tons of individual pockets, then this is not the bag for you. For me it has the right amount of pockets, otherwise i end up opening and closing everything looking for stuff. The two front pockets are velcro but the strips are very small and not too loud.Dakine Section Wet/Dry Pack
Dakine. The perfect brand for backpack. Really well designed and super strong. You can't go wrong with these backpacks. The dakine section is perfect for day trip or a week long surf trip when you travel light to Bali or Fiji. 40 L is the right volume you need.Bought this to replace the old version that had a wet bag that was not attached, so we an airline lost the wet bag. The new bag is large enough for wet suits, skin suits, towels, etc. the wet bag is integral to the backpack, so we can't lose it. There is also a small cooler in the bottom of the bag that's great for snacks and beverages. Lots of pouches and pockets for all your stuff. Really worth it if you swim, surf or go to the ocean a lot!

Targus Spruce EcoSmart Backpack Case Designed for 15.6 Inch Widescreen Laptops TBB013US (Black)
I ordered this bag for my iPad 2 wanting a bag that would give it better protection while I carried it from place to place. I also wanted pockets and places to put pens, the charger, and other things that I would like to carry with it. I thought this bag would do just that from what I saw, so I ordered it. When I received it, I opened it up with anticipation. I checked it out thoroughly, and was satisfied. It wasn't until after I went to put my iPad in it as well as everything else that I realized I was impressed. My iPad fit perfectly and the pocket made for it kept it snugly in place. Not only is there enough room for my iPad in the main pocket, but there was plenty of space to put a paperback novel in there as well. I also found plenty of space for the charger as well as pens, and other small accessories. The overall quality of the bag is very good. It seems to be made to last. I'm confident that my iPad 2 is safe in this bag. I love Targus, and have used their bags for laptops in the past, so I was sure this bag would be made with the same quality. I was not disappointed. I was actually impressed how well thought out this bag is, and I know it'll serve its purpose. :)I bought this bag for use in college with my Toshiba Satellite laptop. I'm an engineering major and need my laptop with me about 90% of the time, and this bag fit the requirements almost perfectly. Able to store laptop, one textbook, one 2" binder, graphing calculator, calipers, safety glasses, various pens, smaller notebook. Wish I could fit another textbook so I didn't have to go back to my car, but that is not a reflection of this product, I should have looked into that. Recycled material is very strong and all stitching seems great so far. Good compartments for cables/USB devices too. Well-padded laptop compartment fits well and closes with a velcro strap across the top. As comfortable as a laptop pack can be, though I'm used to heavy loads. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.I would highly recommend this bag. I've had it for a while now, and its very solid and has plenty of space. Often i'll keep my 15.6 laptop, a stack of papers, a couple of books and the charger and mouse. There is still plenty of room for more in the front pockets though. It has nice lines and looks sporty compared to most bags. The strap is very comfortable too; well padded and fitted nicely.
The only reason i take away a star is because the strap harness squeaks when i walk. I'm sure i could fix this with some oil but I'm too lazy.Nice bag that fits my ipad (or a netbook) snug in a seperate compartment. there is room in the outside compartment where i put my charger, a usb drive, pen and 3/4 size notebook. The outside has a zipper where i drop my ipbone in when traveling through the airport. Overall a good back and you get that ecofriendly feel. No real 'concerns', but if i had to say anything, the shoulder strap slides a bit and when you clip the front flap it doesn't go as easy as others. That being said, I am very happy with this and will be using it for a long time. No need to take my laptop on short trips when my ipad can now accompany me and do the trick. recommended.I liked this bag very much. Its very strong and the upper handle is attached to the straps so it has less chances of getting torn. The thing that I didn't like about the bag is that it doesn't open too much. And gets full by just putting a laptop and 2-3 files. I cannot fill in lots and lots of stuff in it like my previous bag, which ultimately gave away as I brought 10 kgs. of stuff in it.
T-Tech by Tumi Packable Backpack
I travel as light as possible, having this backpack stashed in my messenger bag (it folds down to size smaller than an iPad) gives me extra storage on my return trip for any purchases I make; it also serves as a great "beach bag" to stuff supplies into for an excursion during my travels. This goods weight so light and It's convenient for me to carry outside.I think it is a good companion for travelling.
Rockland Luggage Rolling Laptop Case
This Rockland Loggage Rolling Laptop case, looks like a pretty decent product. I needed it for school, as a med student I thought it would be a great idea to carry all my books and laptop in one bag with wheels and not on my back!Well.. this "Rockland" ( generic brand-name) Luggage ROlling Case is garbage. It's constructed so poorly, within 3 weeks of light use ( parking lot to classroom-clasroom to parking lot) 4 days a week, it's totally worn out. The left wheel stopped turning and came off. The braces that hold the wheels are not riveted properly, so when you carry anything heavier that 7 pounds, they turn outwards, so they make the wheels spin unevenly so they wear out from the inside. The bag sags touches the ground and in less that 4 weeks of use, the material has a hole, due to friction.
The handle is wobbly and will come off sooner than later. Overall, it's not that the bag was designed poorly. actually it's a very nice design, the material or fabric is not bad either.
The problem is how the bag is constructed.
Please make yourself a favor and don't purchase this product. Go to Sam's Club and purchase a decent Samsonite product, same dimensions and same price tag.
THis product is garbage.Working very well for the job I ask it to. I often need to travel with more than one laptop computer, and this case has room for two large notebooks as well as all the other stuff I travel with (books, noise-cancelling headphones, MP3, DS, etc.). Good purchase, good value.

Thanks to this Asus ROG forum, I began looking at backpacks I didn't know existed. I had been looking at camera backpacks, not laptop backpacks. I found the Slappa M.A.S.K. DSLR Custom Build Backpack. It works great for my Asus G75 and all of my camera equipment. I can even slip in my ipad without any trouble. The padding is not as thick as a DSLR backpack but I don't plan on rolling it down a stairwell or checking it as luggage. The backpack is simply for easy transportation of all my important toys. This is a great backpack with lots of space for storage, pockets galore, and some neat and stylish accents. I like the idea of having the interchangeable front covers to fit you mood and needs.Still, this is a honking bag, and at this size it is in great need of a waist strap. If you fill it to anywhere near capacity, you will absolutely long for the additional support and stability.
This backpack is advertised to hold a 17" notebook, but I tried it with my 18" HDX, and it fits without a problem (although the Velcro on the cover flap was stretched to the limit).
Now if Slappa really wants to make it approach the perfect backpack, they will come out with a rain cover and add a cable slit for an iPod while they're at it.
Dakine Capitol Pack Laptop Backpack, Blocks
People love my new backpack. The colors, the shape. It's awesome. Perfect for a person that commutes with a laptop, it has a nice padded place to slip the computer in.This bag isn't overwhelming with compartments. There's the main and the little one. It's simple. And stylish.I have to admit, I'm in love with this backpack. It has pockets and such in all the right places and fits my massive work laptop like a champ!
DAKINE Girl's Wonder Pack
this is a really SUPER day-pack! if you're looking for a regular backpack to haul loads of books and your laptop around campus, this is not gonna be your first choiceit definitely won't hold more than a couple of textbooks and a notebook or two, and the only size computer you could fit would be a netbook. I purchased this bag to use as a day-pack in Disney World, and it was the best I could have ever hoped for! I managed to catch it on sale, and really, it holds a lot more than you would think! and the secret sunglass pocket was big enough to hold my phone, camara, ipod AND my shades.I bought this bag for college, and yes, it's on the smaller side. I can't fit my laptop in it, and I can't fit very many books. HOWEVER.... I made a trip to NYC recently and packed 3 days worth of clothing and toiletries, and had plenty of room for all the stuff I bought also. I was amazed at how much clothing I could fit! So, bottom line, DON'T buy this bag if you need to carry a lot of school stuff, but DO buy this bag if you need a good overnight backpack for a trip!Buy DAKINE Girl's Wonder Pack Now
This book bag is the perfect size for my 11 year old daughter, who considers the bag to be extremely fashionable.Excellent quality and craftsmanship are found in this product. Zippers match up and flow smoothly. All the seams match up. There are pockets for everything; sunglasses water bottles etc. My 4th grader has no problem carrying all books, materials and a lunch box within this backpack. Do yourself a favor and shop for Dakine products, you won't be disappointed.I was expecting a smaller backpack, but the bigger size was fine. It is normal backpack size, but doesn't hold as much as a normal backpack. I used it to hold things on our anniversary trip to Eureka Springs. I didn't want to bother with a purse because we were doing so much walking. It held everything I needed and it was very comfortable! I would recommend this!Osprey Exos 34 Backpack
The Exos pack is awesome. It has just enough padding on the hip belt to create comfort provided you are an ultralight weight hiker. The straps are minimal as are the buckles exactly what you would expect from an ultralight weight product. But they are sturdy. I'm no easy on equipment and I haven't been "easy" on this pack but it has held up well. Plus you won't find one lighter. Easy access to everything. Perfect pockets for that stuff you just have to stash. It's a very nice pack. I use the 34 as a daypack particularly for extremely cold winer outings. I have all three sizes of this pack. The Exos 34 is the smallest member of Osprey's Exos lightweight pack series. I purchased this pack to use on an 11-day hike around Mont Blanc, where we would be spending some nights in mountain refuges. So I would not be needing to carry full overnight gear, but a few more items than I would need for just day hiking.I found this pack perfect for that trip. I was attracted to the light weight, yet it was sturdy enough that it suffered no noticeable wear. The suspension was very comfortable with the 15 or 20 lb load I was carrying--including DSLR camera and enough extra clothing for September in the Alps.
I had seen the Exos 58 in a store but was not able to find the "34". So I bought the 34 from Amazon `sight unseen'. Although the three Exos packs are basically different sized versions of the same pack design, I discovered a few differences that are not easy to pick up when reading the Osprey website or the Amazon product description. While the 58 and 46 have a padded hipbelt, the 34's hipbelt is just mesh. When I first realized this, I was concerned that it would be uncomfortable, but I didn't find this to be so.
The pocket configuration is also different among the three Exos variants. The Exos 34 also does not have the vertical zippered front pocket(s) featured on the 46 and 58. However I found the pockets that the Exos 34 does have to be quite adequate. I especially liked the stretchy front pocket, which was ideal for maps and an extra clothing layer.
You definitely need a good rain cover if you expect some weather! The pack contents got wet in an intermittent rain on a hike before our trip. The brand-new (not Osprey) rain cover I purchased for the trip also failed to keep things dry on our one stormy day. So get a rain cover and test it.
I'm a bit puzzled by Osprey's sizing method. Using the Osprey template, I was a perfect Small, but when I tried on several Osprey packs, I was told that the Small was a little too small from waist to shoulders, yet the medium's waistbelt was obviously too large. (I'm a 5'4" 110 lb female.) But whatever, the small size seems to work fine.

This bag has been with me across two continents, in freezing mountain conditions and in the fiery desert. It is ultralight, holds a good amount of gear, and is very functional. The straps and pockets are well-designed. The trampoline back is a highly, highly appreciated feature, as it keeps air flowing between the bag and your back. The weight is just phenomenally light.Keep the weight under 30 pounds inside, definitely, and this pack will make you sing with joy. Also, the dimensions are within airline guidelines for carry-on, so you never have to check this bag!!

Lots of folks who buy these packs do so for a lot sexier reasons than I did. As boring as they may seem, my reasons were twofold:1) I frequently take flights to destinations that cannot be reached in less than two or three "legs". Seems I am destined to never fly nonstop anywhere. The end result is invariably that one leg or more are on smaller 140-ish passenger planes with very limited overhead storage. I was weary of checking my carry-on at the plane door several times during a trip. I wanted a true, stay-with-me carry-on solution that was lightweight, "flexible" in how it is filled (in order to stuff it in the overhead) and yet large enough for the typical 3-5 day trips I take. And of course easy enough to haul through airports.
2) On occasion this will be used for very limited backpacking/camping, 1-2 overnights and not in the harshest of conditions.
While I am older and travel mostly by plane nowadays, I did a fair amount of backpacking when younger, including lots of time in the Adirondacks and all of the Northern Peaks of the White Mountains, as well as Mt. Washington.
Anyways, with my current goals in mind I started doing a LOT of research on packs. The Osprey Exos line kept coming up during my search, and after poring over all the material I could find, I decided on the large size Exos 34. If you were wondering about capacities and weights for this pack:
Small: 2624 cu in, weight 1010g
Medium: 2807 cu in, 1050g
Large: 2990 cu in, 1100g
The large size pack is very light by my standards, and to my engineering mind it is VERY well designed. Love the flexibility they built in and it is obvious these packs were tested extensively in the field and the feedback was put into the design.
Love the straps and the possibilities they present, I have no complaints there. Even though in "airport" mode I tuck the waist belt between the mesh and the pack itself (thus I have no complaints or kudos for the waist belt as I rarely use it). Would seem fine for a 15-20lb load however. Other loose straps I simply tie up or tuck in somewhere when not in use.
I have a (Sea to Summit) rain cover for other packs and would use that if the need arose. In my "home testing", it fits fine.
I always use either packing cubes or compression sil packs, so the fact that it is one large top-entry chamber does not bother me. The bottom of the main chamber does flare out to the waist belt, which means I "lose" a bit of space there by using cubes. Other than that unbelievably minor nit, the main bag holds exactly what I need (although I had to pare down my typical 5-day packing list, which is never a bad exercise).
Love the compression straps being able to go inside or outside the mesh bottle pockets. Nice to have in "hustling flight to flight mode" to store water bottles on the go. Compression straps are handy to make sure this fits in the smaller overheads (sideways, for which you may suffer the wrath of fellow passengers). I have not used a water bladder with this pack but again it seems a well-thought-out design.
This pack not only has met my current needs but also gives me the itch to get back out on the trails. And should that involve the need for a larger pack, I would not hesitate to get a larger Osprey. I enjoy using items that I feel the designers put their heart and soul into, and this pack definitely fits that category IMO.Bought this bag before coming to Afghanistan and walk to work with it almost everyday and love it! I will be taking it hiking in Europe as well as to Everest Base Camp and also on the AT. Very comfortable, ample room for light backpacking and I also get a lot of complements on it. It has a lot of what seem like superfluous straps that I have no use for but they don't really bother me. Very light weight and sturdy frame and I love the air gap between me and the bag. I love this bag.

Size-wise I think it is good for kids between 3-6, but the material is not that strong, it is kinda thin and not very supportive. So it you put in a water bottle, it will change the shape of the bag easily. The straps are not very comfortable. As a luggage fiend, found this exoensive but it is singular in its strength, durability and design. 4 wheel ease us the way to travel, whether carry on or check in. The outboard handle on Briggs and Riley on 4 wheels makes it less maneuverable than tumi and others.Larger luggage benefit from 4 wheels and this one feels featherweight. Weak handle is an irritant (don't pull with any additional luggage or it will bend the handles). That is the only "I would think twice" on this size. Have the smaller one too and it is a workhouse piece of luggage.
Disney 7 Princess - A Magical Wish for a Princess 14" Backpack
This bag is beautiful and a good size for my daughter, maybe a little big, but I wanted something that will last for a few years. She's 3,5 and starting preschool in a couple of weeks and will need something to put her extra clothes or toys in. It is very well made, was happy to see that the princesses are covered with plastic and won't get scratched or dirty. It also has 5 different compartments: the main big one for large items, two in the front for small items, mesh pocket for bottle and side pocket with cover.Shipping was fast, took only 3 days!I purchased this for my 3-year-old to haul her stuff to and from daycare. There is a durable plastic covering over the princesses which was a nice surprise. The backpack looks a little large when my daughter wears it, but we wanted it bigger to hold her blankets and extra clothes. Overall very happy with it!
