Skooba Design Cable Stable DLX

Skooba R750-300 Cable Stable DLXWhen I first opened the package I thought that this case was too small. Yes, my long vga cable, cat6 ethernet cable weren't going to fitwhich turns out to be ok.

I've loaded up this case with all the pieces and parts for almost any disasterI've got a 32gb thumbdrive with my backed up presentations, a mouse, my Apple adcvga adapter, usb cable, firewire cable, firewire adapter, an optical mouse, mini to mini cable for sound, spare batteries for my wireless presenter clicker, etc. All these things that used to rattle around my bag.

It keeps them all in placeand accessible. Considering my new "bum bum bag" doesn't have as many internal dividers as my old bagthis has been a godsend. Yes, I balked at the priceit's probably only worth $20-$25 which is why it's getting 4 instead of 5 starsbut, it seems well built and for me it's been worth it.

Going through airport checkpoints should be much easier nownever mind being able to find my stuff when I need it.

My wife says I have a problem but I like to be organized. It's important to me to have what I need easily within reach as I travel a lot and the convenience of a product like this easily pays for itself. I bought the large case because I wanted to house all of my cables and accessories. I'm using it to hold a travel surge protector, laptop charger, iPad A/V cable, 3.5mm audio cable, solar USB charger, USB drive, iPhone sync cable, Jambox charging cable, Apple Magic Mouse, iPad charger, camera, Macbook VGA adaptor and the charger for my myfi card. Easily fits into the front compartment of my backpack.

This organizer has changed my life. I bought the Skooba R750-300 Cable Stable DLX (Black) and soon had it filled with cords and chargers for my smart phone, my mp3 players, my computer and my Kindle. It's a little pricey, but well worth it because of the internal features like elastic holders and zippered pockets and it closes up into a nice little package with its own handle that will slide down in a briefcase or carry-on. If you're considering this one, take a look at Skooba Cable Stable Combo Pack (750-350) to get both sizes. I recently bought the Skooba Cable Stable Mini (750-250) and broke out into more than one organizer because I had stuffed this one to the gills. I use them all the time-the DLX for my phone, computer, and Kindle DX; the Skooba mini for my MP3 players; and I bought the AmazonBasics Universal Travel Case for Small Electronics and Accessories (Black) to use with my Kindle Fire. With all three, I now have dedicated "clutter fixers" for all my small electronics and when I travel, I can simply unzip and send them through the TSA screener with my laptop! Highly recommended for those who, like me, have too many cords and not enough time.

I purchased this product since I have numerous cords and plugs related to computers, phones, and tablets. This cleaned up the clutter. I probably could use a second on. I do not use it for travel. I like that it cleaned up the mess at home and keeps everything organized.

Great concept but poorly executed by Skooba. "Cheezy" zippers and the feel of "cheap" quality. I doubt this will hold up to rugged "road warrior" use. Size is about right, but as an example of poor design.. the zippered mesh pocket can't even accommodate one of the small wall power transformers and still be zipped up. They left no "stretch" or "elastic" stretch space and still have the zipper work. If this were superior quality material, zippers, stitching, elastic, design etc, I'd pay $30+ for it. But as it is, It's not worth more than $12-$15. Maybe they'll improve it with time and listening to feedback. Like I said, great concept with all the chargers, cables, and electronic devices (memory cards, SIM cards, camera's, phone, ipod's, etc. etc. etc.)in use today, but this falls short of being a real quality product at reasonable price.

Meffort Inc 15 15.6 inch Neoprene Laptop Sleeve Bag Carrying Case with Hidden Handle and Adjustable

Meffort Inc 15 15.6 inch Neoprene Laptop Sleeve Bag Carrying Case with Hidden Handle and Adjustable Shoulder Strap - Paris DesignMy bag was better than I had anticipated. Even though it was my second choice, it has proved its worth.

I chose this rating because I spent money on something that does not fit properly. The sleeve is to big for my 15 inch laptop.

I shopped online found a design that inspired me to purchase, however I can't use it.

The laptop slides around in sleeve causing it to be uncertian in my grip, I almost dropped my laptop so I removed my laptop from the sleeve and don't use it.

Can my money be returned to me? Thank you.

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-It Folder 18

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-It Folder 18, Pacific BlueIn researching the pack it folder before I purchased it, I came across many many reviews that claimed this was one of the best packing products there was. Having used this folder as a part of my Eagle Creek pack it set on a week long trip I can vouch for how great it really is. The included folding board makes loading the folder very easy. It is very nice to have your suitcase compartmentalized, especially when you have to get something from the bottom or repack. The folder along with the other pack it items turn the empty hole of a suitcase into a very organized space. Thanks to the folder and pack it system I was able to pack a weeks worth of clothes into a 22" suitcase without coming close to blowing out the zippers. I will never travel again without the pack it folder.

This is my second Eagle Creek folder. I now have the 18 and the 20. The 20 is a touch to big to fit into a 21" carry on, but the 18 is perfect. Fits a weeks worth of business casual clothes and takes up no room. Now I show up with less bulk and less wrinkles.

If you travel, you need an Eagle Creek Folder.

So having read many great reviews on this item, I decided to purchase it just prior to a two week trip. I have a 22inch roller and my goal was to be able to pack for two weeks and not check a bag. To be realistic, I was able to comfortably fit 4 dress shirts, 2 pairs of pants, and a pair of jeans. I generally like the product and I think it does what it's advertised to do. I do have two caveats that I think anyone should consider before purchasing.

1. One of the major "features' of this product is that your clothes don't get wrinkled. The idea is that the compression of the material and the direction for laying out your clothes allows the material to remain immobile, therefore preventing wrinkles. However, this really assumes that the folder is the last thing you put in your suitcase and thus there is no pressure being exerted. The way I pack, there is so much pressure on the pack-it that all my clothes get the crease lines from the folds. When I fold my shirts normally, I do two folds, half the long way and half the short. This creates two creases max. The pack-its creates 5 creases and as a result it actually makes my clothes more wrinkly sometimes.

2. The second feature is reducing volume. What you may not consider is that the because the pack-it is shorter than a 22inch roller length-wise, you actually created a shorter fold, thus increasing over height of your stack. I did an experiment and because of the rigidity of the pack-it, it actually increased my volume instead of decrease.

So those are my two caveats. Great product, but I'm pretty sure after a little while, I'm just going to go back to folding my shirts and putting them in my case without this.

I have to preface this to say that I love bags and things that are well designed. I originally bought this to keep my suit nicely folded on a trip to a research conference, which it did beautifully. Now I use it on all my trips. It keeps clothes so nicely folded, and it's easier to organize and see what you have packed and sort through it without having to hover over a huge suitcase. I recommend it, especially to keep everything organized for longer trips (it also helps me fit more stuff in my suitcase).

14 inch Blue Dragon Exterminator Notebook Laptop Sleeve Bag Carrying Case for most of MacBook, Acer

14 inch Blue Dragon Exterminator Notebook Laptop Sleeve Bag Carrying Case for most of MacBook, Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Sony, ToshibaThe cover arrived and looked exactly like the picture (on both sides) and it fits very well.

My only complaint is that on one side there is a small (1/4 divot) prick in the neoprene which damaged the picture.

It's very beautiful product. I liked so much. The size is perfect to my macbook. but the color is not too strongh like in the pic.

I bought this for a little extra protection for a 14 inch Acer Aspire that I recieved as a gift for Christmas, to add a little scratch protection while transporting using a backpack. The neoprene is thin, but since I am not using this as a sole protection/transport device I am not concerned about it. I was worried the fit would be so snug that I would be annoyed trying to get the laptop in and out, but it easily slides in and out without a hassle. No obvious odor to the neoprene. The dragon is detailed, colorful, and on both sides but slightly less vibrant than the picture.

I bought this for my drawing tablet rather then spend $30 for a case I figured a netbook case would work just as well. And it fits great! I now don't have to worry about it getting all scratched up or anything. I don't really mind that it doesn't have pocket or anything because I can just put the replacement nibs in the bag with it. I couldn't find a decent case for my Bamboo Create that wasn't really more than what I wanted to pay for a case, and this was a great alternative.

I really like the design, it's clean colorful and distinguishable. I would have preferred it a different color maybe but I like it for what it is.

The smell is pretty strong when you take it out of the package, it smells...I'm not really sure, like burning shoe soles or something. It dissipated after a day or so and you can only really smell it if you actively try to sniff it. So it's really not all that bad.

I gave it four stars, one because of the smell that is still there even if not as strong and two because tiny pockets on the inside could have made this case a little bit better in general. But for the price it's a decent case and it's doing what I bought it for, to protect my tablet from damage. I would recommend this case, especially if you like dragons. :)

Save your money and buy something else. This bag is to thin and flimsy. A used plastic grocery bag would provide about the same amount of protection.

Stephen Joseph Boys 2-7 Boy's Quilted Backpack

Stephen Joseph Boys 2-7 Boy's Quilted Backpack, Shark, One SizeGreat looking and durable preschool back pack. Easy to wash! (Air dry to prevent fading it is cotton.) This bag is perfect for a young age child to hold his/her lunchbox. It is a little small to carry home artwork without folding which usually messes up their masterpieces. I would not recommend this for elementary school age children. It is too small for their needs and the bag's artwork is a little young for my elementary age child's taste. Both of my children carried these bags during preschool. My daughter had the pink and purple princess bag and my son had the airplane. They are super cute and even cuter on a three year old child's back!

This is a really lovely padded backpag. I would say that the straps are thin if you were going to carry heavy things in it, and it is also not superbig, but it holds my kid's school folder and is plenty of space for the first few grades of elementary school. I love the fact that it's not mainstream at all and looks classy, unlike all the Disney stuff out there.

I bought this backpack for my two and a half year old son. I wanted him to have his own bag, that he could carry, when we fly and when he visits relatives for the day. This bag is adorable, plus it's the perfect size to hold what he needs, but still small enough for him to wear. He loves his "pack pack". I had originally planned to wait until he was a little older to get him one, but in so glad I got it now.

Osprey Momentum 26-Litre Commuter Pack

Osprey Momentum 26-Litre Commuter PackI'm a big fan of Osprey packs, but this isn't one of their best designs. The pack has a ton of bike specific features, which is nice, but Osprey lost sight of the big picture. A commuter pack needs to get you to work, without making your back sweat through your clothes. Osprey makes packs that are designed to keep your back from getting sweaty, but this isn't one of them. The pack has a huge contact surface with your back, and makes your back sweat like crazy.

Also know that these are very large packs in comparison to models from other manufacturers of similar capacity. Osprey put a ton of cushion in these packs, to protect the laptop and other items. To achieve the proper capacity size, they had to greatly increase the physical size.

But the commuter specific features are well done, and the shoulder straps are very comfortable. Awesome guarantee as well.

Now this is one well-thought-out design. The 26L model has an abundance of useable space without feeling like too much...I can't imagine why anyone would need a 34L model. But anyway, I use this pack every day to haul a full business-casual outfit to/from work, plus a bag lunch, the occasional file folder, iPad and/or laptop (15"), and all my sundries. There is still room for more if you need it, but if you don't this pack holds whatever you throw at it without slop or shifting around on your back. I love all the details...zip-up pack expander, the retractable key-chain holder inside the right shoulder strap, the cell-phone holder on the left (which fits a large-screen smartphone), the small mesh opening at the bottom in case of a spill or unanticipated rain shower, a bomb-proof built-in rain-fly which keeps everything perfectly dry (including riveted drain opening at the bottom in case water should find its way in...which mine hasn't despite several hard rains), dog whistle designed into the sternum strap...and on and on. The straps are comfortable but the slight bulk of the strap-pockets takes some getting used to. It feels a little like wearing a life preserver. This pack lays flat on your back, and will pick up sweat. You will not arrive at your destination with a sweat-free back, so just be aware. The color is a bright but not garish mustard-yellow with reflective accents front & rear, including the rain-fly. Internal pockets store everything, including an integrated U-lock sleeve. The outermost compartment is soft-lined for scratch-susceptible items. Mesh pockets on the side lay flat, but can easily hold a water bottle each if needed. One small beef: the cinch straps at the bottom (which overlay the mesh side pockets) flap freely in the breeze. All other straps have clips on them to prevent this...I've simply tucked the cinch straps into the mesh pockets. The helmet clip has adjustable tension to hold that onto the pack securely, and all the straps (shoulder + belt) fold into the pack for toting around the airport, made easy with the integrated side luggage handle. The zipper pulls are another great detail that makes everything so easy to operate. I mean wow...what a pack. It may be overkill for the casual commuter, but if you ride day in & day out in all weather (because you don't have a 2nd car and don't want one), this is the answer

Ok. I'm an avid Amazon shopper (who isn't?), and never have I look forward to writing a review for any product ( I usually don't even write one). But I need give this backpack all the credit that it deserves.

A little about myself: I commute via bicycle everyday and I live in a city. I've gone through a few backpacks and have yet to find one that I absolutely loved. Some are too bulky even with minimal items in the bag, some looks tough enough but it would fall apart, and some are just too small for anything.

I did a lot of research, and here were my requirements: Spacious enough but doesn't compromise the size of the bag; strap pockets for keys, phone, waller, etc., a helmet holder, rain cover, and side pockets for when I want to stash water bottle or something easily while riding. If those things are what you're looking for, then just add this backpack to your basket and pay because you will get all of that AND MORE!

One of my favorite features of this backpack is the key zip-string-thing in the key pocket , and if I could give out an award to the best idea ever I would. I misplace my keys all the time and this key string works flawlessly. It's the little things.

My U-Lock fits perfect inside of one of the side pockets. I"ve yet to use the rain cover and I can't wait for that. The headlight reflectors are great for when you get your bike light stolen.

I got the black one because I intend to have this backpack for a very long time, and I feel the bamboo colored one would show too much stains in the long run. That's just me though. I also got the 24 liter one because I have a small frame and I want something that I can walk around the city/go to work with comfortably like a regular backpack. The 34 liter one would work well for a guy, in my opinion, or someone who likes to carry a lot of stuff while commuting.

I plan on using this backpack as my daily backpack regardless if I'm riding or not, so to have a padded computer sleeve for your computer or tablet is pretty sweet.

Last but not least, yes the price may be a little steep, but this backpack is build to last. It's has a lifetime guarantee. I'm a huge Osprey person, and I also own one of their packs for a few years now, which I used to do my bike trip in Europe. I'd rather pay a little more for something that looks and feel great, but above all, something that can keep up with my adventures and life style.

Did I mention this backpack is AWESOME? Get it!!!

I hope this review helps. I apologize for my grammar but you get the idea :)

This back pack is great. Tons of Bike specific features, tons of space. I use this for school and I find this back pack a little better equipped to bike riding specifically and not so much for school supplies, as in no good spots for pencils and such. However, I find it to be light, sporty and fills my needs satisfactorily. Yes, it does make your back sweat more than not wearing a back pack, but wearing anything on your back will cause this. Pack a shirt to change into if it's that big of an issue. The surface that touches your back they put on this thing is sort of like a plastic washboard, a little uncomfortable but vents a lot. Any ways, I would definitely recommend this over any other pack I've seen for cyclists.

I commute daily to work, which involves a short ride to my train station. Prior to this pack I was using really fat Swiss Army backpack which was ok, but had no place to attach my helmet so it was just swinging on the side, hitting people in the crowd :) Another issue was that padded netted back of that backpack ruined many of my shirts (by rubbing against fabric). That was primary reason I decided to look for new backpack and I narrowed my choices to Osprey Momentum 26.

Two main criteria I had were:

1. Non Netted back (it's really hard to find one without netting)

2. Some kind of helmet carrying system

Osprey had both, and also has lots of pockets which I love to carry various gadgets, headphones, pens, etc. Plus an amazing lifetime warranty! And a rain cover! You can attach your bike blinker light to the bag too, which is awesome! Makes you much more visible on the road.

I was able to fit my 15" MacBook Pro in the main compartment, but it made room in the next pocket a little too tight for my iPad...

It looks great! I chose "Carbide" which actually looks not as black as in the picture, it's actually dark grey. Very slim and comfortable to wear. Stiff backing doesn't bother me, my back doesn't sweat because I don't ride too far (about 3 miles each way).

Of course there are some down sides to this bag, thus the 4 stars.

Biggest negative for me is helmet mount. It works great, and holds helmet secure but it prevents you from accessing two zipped pockets :( I found it to be extremely annoying, when I need to get my headphones or train ticket. If they made it just a little lower it would be perfect. But if you attach your helmet by lowest of it's holes, you might get one of the pockets somewhat accessible.

Side mesh pockets are roomy, however I wish one of them could be split in two to hold umbrella. They way it is, umbrella get's too loose and might fall out. Or someone might steal it. My friend actually did take it out of this pocket (he was playing a joke on me) and I didn't feel it being removed...

Another small complaint is that while it has 3 compartments, it doesn't have a small one on top where I would keep glasses or ear-buds (most other backpacks have it).

Overall, it's a best commuter backpack I had, and it's a dream come thru for someone who bikes to work. If it wasn't for location of the helmet holder, I'd give it 5 stars. I still highly recommend it!

Update 09/12/2012:

I've been using it for a while and still love it! Just one thing I wanted to add to my review, is while back seems to be stiff, if you have something non flat (i.e. lunchbox) inside you will feel it and it can be very uncomfortable and it will be sticking out into your back. But it's not a big issue, I just move large objects into the smaller pocket, which is very deep.

High Sierra AT607 Carry On Travel Bag with Backpack Straps

High Sierra AT607 Carry On Travel Bag with Backpack StrapsThis was used over the past year as a carry-on when I had business trips all over the world on various airliners and I have never had a problem getting this backpack checked as a carry-on. The bag is compact and if you pack tight and well, you can fit a lot of stuff in it. I used to put a laptop on the top if I was under the weight limits and it was a simple flip over to get thru security without really having to remove the laptop out of the bag completely. It has a convenient shoulder strap which is great if you hate having a backpack on your shoulders. I was able to fit 3-5 days worth of clothing depending on what I had to pack in, and there's a generous sized pocket in the front that I fit toiletries in as well as odds and ends such as wires needed for work.

Now, for the bad parts, a few airlines allowed larger carry-on than this bag by a significant amount, which results in more checked bags if you travel heavy. Also, the straps in the main compartment tended to clump clothes together on rare occasions if you were trying to squeeze as much as possible out of the space.

All minor nuances, but for the price, and the size, it can't be beat. It's rare to find a bag that is small enough to be allowed on multiple airlines as a carry-on and this bag is also near the dimension limits for more than half the airlines I traveled on which was very convenient and allowed the most use of the carry on allowed. Add in the bag's light weight and it's almost a perfect carry-on bag.

Convertible backpack September 2012: This backpack hides its straps so it can be airline-checked. It is sized to meet carry-on limits. It is in the same category as a Rick Steve's weekend convertible, but it is a bit smaller. While it doesn't have all the hidy-holes as a RickSteves and inside dividers are delicate, it has a tougher outside fabric and will hold it shape when empty. I like it.

So far I have used it on one airline trip. I did not check it, but instead used overhead bins. It has two easy-to-grab strong handles (side and top) and comes with a removable shoulder strap. The backside has a thick pad for comfort that doubles as a loop to strap it on your rolling luggage handle. This turned out to be a handy feature.

The zippers with their tassels have held up fine so far, though I am reluctant to check the bag. This bag is a cross between luggage and a backpack. The hidden waist clips, shoulder straps, and back pad make it an acceptable backpack. The silver piping is also highly reflective for night safety. As luggage it has handles, shoulder strap, and a thick-tough outside fabric that holds it shape. A very good compromise overall.

Occasional airline traveler.

Kelty Warbler Lumbar Pack

Kelty Warbler Lumbar Pack, Black, One SizeI call this my Tactical Utility Hip Pouch (TUHP) and it works great for when I'm traveling for work (network field technician). I can keep a few extra things on me without having to haul around a purse or toolbag. Two pouches, with a small one in front of the bigger pouch.

The one problem I've had with this, is the adjustment strap slips out if I'm doing a lot of climbing or walking. But other then that, it is a very handy product.

I did quite a bit of research to find the perfect lumbar pack to use when cycling, and ended up choosing the Warbler. I use it to carry my iPhone, IDs, snacks, etc when I go riding. My saddle bag is too small to fit everything, and not as handy as a lumbar pack.

Pros:

Looks very nice (simple and stylish) I got the Charcoal and love the color too.

Has the perfect size for those who don't want to carry too much stuff, and the design is such that it stays close to your body rather than bulging out. (e.g. it's not noticeable under a loose sweater)

The front side is padded, making the outer pocket a good place for storing phones, etc. However, the inner side (touching your body) is not padded, which isn't a problem for me. So I think this was a good design decision.

Has bands for holding the extra strap out of the way

Cons:

The bigger compartment's zipper has a metal piece on the little loop, which adds a nice touch. However, the one on mine was a dark matte red instead of a grayish one that's shown in the picture. Doesn't look too bad, so I kept it instead of trying my luck with another. Plus, worst case, you can just take out the metal piece.

Summary:

I strongly recommend this. It's not the biggest pack, which is actually a plus for me. It is well-made and looks very nice.

Big Bear 78

Jansport Big Bear Outdoor BackpackI've taken this pack out on several backpacking trips, and Im not really impressed. The good thing about this pack is the size of the internal compartment. Having a little Bigger size means having more options. At 78 liters you can pack this pretty tight with everything you're going to need for a multi day trip. I was able to pack fairly generously and never felt like i was missing anything. I also like the separate sleeping back access zipper. It made getting to your gear a little easier when it was time to set up camp. The hydration pocket is more than adequate for a 3 liter bladder.

Now for the cons. First, the shoulder straps are woefully inadequate for carry more than 30 pounds over anything more than flat terrain. I carried this pack with 50lbs up a 4000 footer and my shoulders paid dearly. The padding is just too thin to support any kind of heavy load. Secondly, I simply could not balance the load. Rock scrambles with an unbalanced load added to the challenge of the climb, and on the descent, the strain on my neck and shoulders was substantial.

The external pockets are definitely lacking. Two side pockets are enough for a few small items, and the mesh pocket in the center of the pack is similar. Don't put anything in there you don't want exposed to the weather. There is also no place to lash down any external gear. The shock cords in the center of the pack can maybe manage small items like sandals or a light jacket, but I wasn't able to use it for much more than that. Also, I would like to have seen some pockets on the waistbelt for a tool, or GPS. There is a front compartment that is a fairly decent size but lack of front access to the main compartment meant having to fish through things if you needed any of your gear mid hike. Not a huge deal, but a bit of a hassle.

For serious backpacking, look elsewhere. For a little more money you can find a far better pack. For lighter uses, it serves the purpose just fine.

I took this backpack for a 2 week trip island hopping in the Philippines. Perfect size. I just wish there were 1-2 more pockets, but still much better than a suitcase to take on my trip.

I owned the older version and hiked many nights with it. This is the new updated version with a bottom zipper for your sleeping bag and overall better access into the main pocket. I love it when a product stays mostly the same but the manufacturer adds the one or two small touches that you thought were missing from the original! I really liked the old version, and I love the new version!

Soul Eater: Blair Messenger Bag

Soul Eater: Blair Messenger BagMy 15 year old son is really into anime. He begged me for this to use as a school bag. I gave in and bought it. It appears to be well made; the only drawback is the size. It is not big enough for all of his school books (or even more than one) with his binder. Still cute, and he really loves it.

This is actually a gift for my daughter. She will love this. I plan on stuffing it full of items for Easter.

Fox Outdoor Large MOLLE Transport Pack

Fox Outdoor Large MOLLE Transport PackGot this for my son in the Foliage Green color to use as a school backpack. It looked like a bit of overkill, but tired of replacing backpacks every year. He really loved it because he could fit *all* his stuff in it without stressing the bag or the zippers. Because it was apparently designed as a hiking/camping/military bag, it also had the padded, ventilated back panel and shoulder straps so it was easy to carry.

Bottom line is that another parent asked where I got it and bought one too. The absolute best thing though is that now, at the end of a school year, it looks nearly new and I don't have to buy another bag in September! It may even make it into his college years!

This bag is a little more cheaply made than advertised I feel. Cheap nylon and the bottom is cheap plastic that is already ripping on the seams that straps are attached to.

when I opened the package, I noticed so many wrong things about this product. Fist, the black color of the backpack was a bit off, faded, the straps were a good solid black so they didn't match. Second, AND MOST IMPORTANT, the center strap (the one that locks the center of the backpack) had been glueda bit too much to the right, so you could see the trail of the glue there but then there are the dozens of loose strings that keep falling apart. I love that it has a rough look but this doesn't look new. was it used at the war? that would make sense, I probably missed that on the product description.

something I did forget to miss, I didn't read or perhaps forgot, there is no outside pocket or water bottle carrier, major con if you are outdoors most of the time.

pro is that you can fit everything in, but this doesnt look so great, and it was made pretty bad. looks cheap, don;t recommend it.

Belvah Quilted Damask Zippered Backpack

Belvah Quilted Damask Zippered BackpackI got this bag for school this year and it's awesome! I was a little afraid it might not be big enough and that the straps were little wimpy, but I was pleasantly surpirsed by it's quality construction and large size. It fits all my school books and the back straps work great! The colors and fabrics are great. I've got the coolest backback in the class!!!

I bought this for my daughter who started kindergarten. It is large enough to fit her school folders, small lunchbox and a few other items. I think this backpack is perfect for Kindergarten through maybe 1st or 2nd grade. My daughter loves it too.

My 11 year old daughter wanted this as a look alike to Vera Wang book bag. She is happy with the appearance. The only complaint we would have is that it is probably too small for a 6th graders items. A trapper keeper will not fit in the bag but she stuffs it full of many other items. Overall a good purchase for us.

Keen Ridgely 15 1007310 Messenger Bag

Keen Ridgely 15' 1007311 Messenger Bag,Graphite,One SizeSolid, sturdy and good looking bag. Roomy and well-constructed.

My thirteen year old girl was looking for a bag to start high school. This was the bag that she finally chose. She has a bus commute and needed something to withstand the weight and bulk of texts as well as the rigors of all day use in a school setting where there are no lockers. "Why not a backpack?" you wonder. Thirteen year old girl, remember? Choosy and exacting.

She has had it for a month and all seems fine.

Four out of five stars because there are two improvements I would suggest. There is no pad on the shoulder strap, and it would be useful; her stuff is heavy. More importantly, a zipper to close up the main body of the bag is needed. Right now it has a fold-over closure with two straps that simply slide into buckles. I think that under the fold-over material there ought to be either an added zipper, or perhaps a drawstring to make sure that nothing can come loose. It is a messenger-style bag, in which both large and small items are placed. Think of how bike messengers sling those bags around.

Overall, a good bag. She is happy with her choice.

I had another Keene bag and for me this was no match on sturdiness and design. The strap is thin and non adjustable, the computer packet is not padded and overall, just not as well crafted. I returned this and purchased another of the one I had, just in a different color. That bag is the Keene Taylor 13 1000510 . I have had that one for about a year and would give it a 100% satisfaction score.
