I frequently fly with a small child. I was delighted to find such a big duffel that could be worn backpack style, leaving my hands free to carry him and push the stroller or pull the suitcase or whatever else you might need hands to do.It was even roomier than I imagined when it got here and fairly comfortable to wear as a backpack. We have purchased two of these bags and used them for our cars trips from Morocco to Spain and back. It is lightweight with sturdy construction and as you can see from the pictures it folds up very small. We have unfolded and folded this a number of times and have found it quite easy to do. The handles are nice and large; my wife has actually put this on her back a couple times when we use the duffel bags to pack bedding or towels and it fits quite comfortably on her back.When this this is fully loaded, it could definitely be quite heavy and hard to carry. We also have purchased this for use on trips where we have purchased lightweight items during our trips and expanded for the return leg. Highly recommended

Columbia Treadlite 10 Backpack (One Size)
I have owned several packs. I love to hike and so I wanted to invest in a quality one for my frequent day hikes. I was a bit apprehensive about buying a pack online since I wouldn't be able to try it on, but this one really is great. I could tell when I took it out of the box that it was going to be nice. I am a fan of columbia gear and this does not disappoint. One of my favorite features is what they call "backdraft." It's a couple of raised foam panels on the back panel of the pack. This holds it away from your body, allowing you to stay cooler. Let me tell you, that makes a big difference in the summer. It is very light too. I know that may seem obvious, but I was struck by just how light it is. When I buckle it on I might as well not be wearing a pack. Its comfortable, good looking, and lightweight. Kudos Columbia!*EditI feel I should mention that, having now gotten a 3 liter Camelbak unBottle hydration pack, it can indeed fit in this bag, but its quite tight. I can cram my hammock and straps in it along with some food but you can't fit much else in it with the hydration bag in there. It's a small bag though so this doesnt really detract. It still feels very light even with the 3L of water.
Just secure the extra straps and its a great pack!

I wanted to get a pack to lug around giant stacks of books or to carry my gym clothes, shoes, gloves etc in. These are very nice day packs, but won't do the job of the giant amount of stuff I wanted to carry around.The packs seemed to be made nice, they had very nice straps, but didn't have enough room inside them.
That was my mistake for not figuring that out. Otherwise, if you want to carry your lunch and a small change of clothes and other things out for a hike, it's nice!

i put a lot of stuff like fruit, snack, water bottles... when I lift it up to carry, I was thinking today's hiking might be little tough because of the heavy bag, but OMG I couldn't even realize that I was carrying that much stuff while I was hiking. Highly recommended.

I got this bag for taking my two boys to the park, and it is great! I can take everything we need, snacks, diapers, extra clothes, and of course a book for me. I have everything i need right with me, even a seat. It took a while to break in, but its definitely better once you use it for a while... I let the kids play with it at home so I didn't actually have to break it in! I love Keen, great company, great products!
I like this bag for it's colors, simplicity and the fact that it will hold my nalgene and that it's waterproof...(so far)
I am debating on sending it back and getting something more practical. The seat only works if you fold it down on a smooth surface, the ground, another chair.. etc. If you were hiking and found a tree to sit on, this wouldn't be any better than sitting down without the seat.
Know what I mean?
Dickies Student Backpack
I love the Dickies brand and was in the market for a backpack. I found this one, liked the color, liked the price, decided to get it. However, when it arrived it was much smaller overall than I expected. Granted I'm 6'4", it looked like I was wearing an elementary students backpack. Even my friend who was there when I opened it said "it looks awkwardly small". On the plus side, while inspecting it, it was very good quality. It seemed strong and durable like most othe Dickies products. The zippers were of nice quality as well. The olive color was great. Would be good for a smaller person maybe.

Targus CPT400 17 Platinum Deluxe Notebook Case
I recently bought this case to hold my 17" HP7000 notebook and it's almost like it was made for it.It has a good amount of storage on it -nice big pouch in front that I have to use for my power adapter. It also has other pockets in the pouch for pens, etc.
The inside has plenty of addition pockets for cd's, business cards and more, and the padding in nice and thick for protecting the computer.
The back has another small pouch for paper, and also an additional zipped compartment with a separator for important papers.
I'm very impressed by the all metal hardware and the large rubber padding on the bottom edges.
This is an excellent case, and the price is a huge bonus. I found it recommended on a forum and am glad that I took their advice, and wanted to pass that along.
The only con that I found is that if you've got a 17" notebook and you want to bring along your power adapter and an additional battery, you will run out of room. Aside from that, go for it!
The laptop fits snugly into the main compartment with a velcro hold down strap.
My mouse, CD's for data backup and cables fit into the internal pocketed compartments. The charger/power cord fits into a separate bag and gets placed along with the laptop. So enough room for all my accessories.
The case is sturdy, with what seems to be a steel reinforcement bar and lots of padding. It's going to be a bit heavy when fully loaded with laptop and accessories. The case looks very nice; better than in its photographs.

I must to say that this duluxe notebook case is too large for my 14" dell 600m.Those who have small laptops may need to choose a smaller carrying case instead this one.

I bought this puppy so as to have a case to hold a fountain pen for flourishes and a sharpie pen for carbons.First thing when I got it was to massage it well with mink oil. Had to have that soft leathery feel, sheen and smell.
Like to carry it either where it can be seen or where I can adroitly whip it out to demonstrate the truly erudite, sophisticated and very cool fellow that I am. Both inside and out. I am modest and self-effacing too.

4. The "padded flap" (actually only the end is padded ) makes impossible to feed it trough the tight loop.
And now the thing that makes the royce unusable, the divider. Like everything made in China contains cheap shortcuts here the divider is only one inch long. So, when you insert first pen, it will go diagonally to the opposite corner. Inserting the second will push the first one causing rubbing and scratching of your expensive pens..... UNUSABLE!!!
If I could see it before the purchase, I would never buy it.

Tumi Alpha Bravo Business McNair Slim Brief Case
I have owned Tumi brand bags in the past and always found them to be extremely durable and reliable. This bag seems to be no different. I wanted something that I could throw by laptop and some gear in along with paperwork for my short jobs throughout the day. The outer pockets on the left and right zip to the sides and make for a very easy access to small things in them. The middle pocket isn't quite as easy, but works well.The inside is roomy for ultrabook laptop, ipad, clipboard and about 4-7 file folders brimming with papers. Add space for business cards, post-it notes, pens (only two pens though).
Definitely something that I would purchase again and recommend to others.
I do wish it had an expansion zipper to handle a few more files, but it is not a deal breaker.

I drive a sport sedan because I like practicality with flair. This bag achieves that.Let me start by saying I'm a Briggs & Riley (B&R) fan. I have one of their rolling computer cases, and use their Compact Digital Case, with its iPad compartment, as my "man-bag." So when I got a new, slim (0.86 inches thick) laptop, I naturally ordered a B&R case for it. None of the 15-inch cases B&R designates as "thin" accommodated the 14.8-inch screen, so I ordered the most elegant of the bags that DID fit: the Move Business Case. It's a nice enough bag, but I could tell as soon as I saw it that it was too bulky.
So I did a LOT of research, on Amazon and elsewhere, and that research led to Tumi. I was familiar with the company because I'd been in their stores and my partner has one of their bags. I knew they had a reputation for quality, but I'd never thought of their products as refined. In fact, "refinement" wasn't one of my criteria; I just wanted something as attractive as the computer inside—something with a little flair.
B&R quality is fantastic. I got my rolling computer case in 2007 or '08, and it still looks new. But B&R computer bags look a bit like very well-made versions of the bag your employer provides with your work laptop—the ones Dell sells for $30. The details on the Tumi put it in a different class.
The main compartment is divided into three pockets extending the width of the bag: one for the laptop, a middle one for magazines, file folders, etc. And a third one with a separator that self-latches lightly with a magnet. You could use that for an iPad, cables, etc. One of the separators has pockets for pens and so on. The outside has three narrow pockets. I use one for my phone, one for glasses, and one for whatever. There's a wide pocket on the back, with a zippered bottom you can open to slide the bag over the handle of a rolling suitcase.
The design—a slim bag with rounded pockets—provides some flair. (You can see this best by viewing the photo of the bag shown from the bottom.) It's not just a padded hexahedron. The remainder of the flair comes from the trim.
The strap is not stiff, and has a comfortable leather-trimmed shoulder piece. It connects with easy-to-use clips that seem unlikely to open unintentionally. The comfortable leather handles fold down flat against the bag. The luggage tag is almost jewelry: leather with shiny (chrome or polished nickel) hinge and trim.
The fabric is softer than the fabric on my B&R bags, but appears to be strong. I've had it only about a week, so I can't say how it will hold up, other than to reference my partner's bag and the company's reputation. If it doesn't live up to my expectations, I'll revise this review.
