DAKINE Men's Varial Skate Pack

Dakine Varial Pack Skate Backpack, SkylineI had this backpack in my "Shopping Bag" for a long time. I loved it as soon as I came across it on Amazon, but it was always something I wanted more than needed. I finally had some extra money and decided that since it was such a good price, and I still loved it , I would just go ahead and make the purchase. I am glad I did! I love love love the color and the fact that it is so different from every other bag I see out there. Here are some pro's and con's about this bag...

Pro's:

-The color!!! So bright and bold :)

-The material, stitching, zippers and padding are all very sturdy, well made and high quality

-The front pocket has some nice slots to put pens, cell phone, iPod or whatever you want

-There is also a front pocket that is higher up that is lined and very soft, it says it is for sunglasses but I use it for my stethoscope

-The straps have very good padding and can be lengthened a lot

Con's:

-It is a little stiff, but I am sure it will loosen up the more I use it

-The main compartment isn't as big as my last backpack.. and as a Paramedic student, I have a lot of material to carry around

-There is no side pocket for a water bottle

All together, I really like this bag. I would like to have a place to put my water bottle, but it won't kill me to carry it or use a carabiner to attach it. Also, like I said, the main compartment could be bigger... I know they are loading students with more and more homework and books and some might not be able to fit everything they need in this pack, but so far I haven't had any problems.

Took this on a trip to the Bahamas and it was perfect to hold all my snorkel equipment (fins, mask, snorkel), clothes, snack and a beach towel!!

Disney Cars BackPack n Lunch Bag ( 2 pcs set )

Disney Cars BackPack n Lunch Bag This is a cute backpack, however very small in size. It would have been nice if the description toddler or mini backpack were used in the title of this item. It is enough room for a toddler to take a few of his belongings somewhere. Probably could be used for Pre-k, a normall sized notebook wouldn't fit so I wouldn't recommend for serious use a backpack for school. I got this for my one year old so that I could wear it as a diaper bag. Its good for a short trip for a few hours not a full days outting.

nice but for a toddler.thought it would be regular size since it is not stated that it is mini, or toddler

Quiksilver Men's Schoolie Laptop Backpack

Quiksilver Men's Schoolie Laptop Backpack, Black/Grey, One SizeI bought this backpack to take with me on my vacation. The straps are wide and padded well so heavy loads in the bag won't cause the straps to dig into your shoulders. The little soft pouch on top is good for quickly storing your sunglasses or cell phone, especially when going through airport security. The insulated pouch is a nice idea but doesn't really have enough volume to hold a water bottle larger than say 12oz. What I did find it useful for was keeping important items dry when the rain started pouring. The laptop pouch is padded on the bottom which is good for keeping your laptop/tablet safe from dings. The only real complaint I had was that the front pouch is just a little tight (i.e. doesn't open very far). But that was a minor issue. All in all a nice looking, versatile, and well built bag.

I ride a bike. I have an older back pack that is HUGE but heavy. I measured my old back pack to make sure I got a similar size. Once I got this back pack, I quickly realized that this thing holds EVERYTHING so well. And... it is so light. It is rugged enough for the abuse I give it, and I've had it 30 days so far and I am really amazed at how functional it is. Well made too.

I have mine for 4 months now and I'm really pleased with it. it made out of good materials, you can use it with just a laptop but there is always room for other things to put in. it is isolated enough to withstand the weather. I don't have anything bad to say about this bag.

5.11 Tactical Rush 24 Backpack Black Soft 20x12x7 58601

5.11 Tactical Rush 24 Backpack Black Soft 20x12x7 58601The backpack arrived in good condition and we were all excited about finally getting the right size (24hrs); unfortunately, this is NOT the Updated Desing although the --label-attached to the product said it is.

1. No fleece inner pocket to put your glasses

2. No hole for the whose on the Camelbak water pouch

3. No holder on the back for the Camelbak water pouch

4. No protective extra line for the zippers to avoid water to run in)

This was sold as model number #58601, but is NOT!

Anderson's is getting rid of the old model cheating the customer!

I first saw these 5.11 Tactical backpacks when I was in Iraq. Many of the US contractors carried them. When I got home I needed to replace my tired, old backpack that had served me well for five years, but which was going threadbare.

I'm very happy with this tactical bag, it's very well made, the stitching is superior, there are lots of internal pouches and zippered compartments. The large section of the back is big enough for a full change of clothes; jeans, shirt, socks, underwear and room for a dopp kit. The outer pouches have many little compartments for your iPod, gloves, keys, passport, etc. and there are plenty of straps for attaching carbiners and assorted equipment. The harness is also well made and distributes the weight in the bag evenly over your shoulder. There is also a chest strap to keep the pack from shifting.

All in all a very well made backpack that I would recommend to anyone looking for a good weekend bag.

The pink backpack is fashionable for my 5th grader. It is also saving her a lot of backache from lugging heavy science books. This is a quality backpack with lots of pockets, spacious for big books. I like the lifetime warranty and solid feel. The telescoping handle is quality aluminum that is not a struggle to get up or down like some others we looked at.

Clava Vachetta Leather Laptop Briefcase

Leather Laptop BriefcaseI am mind boggled that a fairly expensive and seemingly well made product such as this wasn't tested before marketing to see if the clasps actually held the briefcase closed. THEY DON'T. They are cheaply made particularly in comparison to the rest of the case and do not hold the case closed when there is anything as heavy as laptop in it. It is absolutely infuriating to not be able to use the handle at all, and only be able to use the shoulder strap in the 'lightest' of situations, without the bag spilling open. Buckles, straps, latches anyting would have been more effective than these clasps. Think twice before you get this product. I'm needing to find a leatherworker or cobbler who can add buckles and straps to mine, to save it from being utterly useless.

MadPax Luggage Spiketus Rex Halfpack Bag

MadPax Luggage Spiketus Rex Halfpack Bag, Orange Peel, One SizeWhile I really like this backpack, Amazon sent a full-size in place of the half size. I reordered and paid for Saturday delivery (it was for a birthday gift) and Amazon sent the wrong size AGAIN!! It seems I got a better deal (full size for the price of a half size), HOWEVER it is NOT what I ordered. I also bought a different color and the correct one was sent. Both backpacks were to go to the same party, but how can I give one child a big pack and another child a half pack at the same party?? VERY frustrating, especially at the cost of these!! BTW, the packaging says the correct size...it's what's IN the package that's WRONG. Figured one time was a mistake, but twice??? This needs fixed ASAP!!

I gave 5 stars because this review is supposed to be for the backpack itself. Awesome and fun for kids, that's for sure!

this backpack is well made. the spike design is awesome. the only thing that would make this better is if this size had outside pockets or a place to put your drink. the material looks like leather even though it isn't but it does not look cheap! i would recommend!

Olympia Skyhawk 22 Inch Expandable Airline Carry-On

Olympia Skyhawk 22 Inch Expandable Airline Carry-On,Brown,One SizeI travel every week for business, so I need a suitcase that is roomy, lightweight, and that is small enough that I never have to check luggage. I replaced a 15 year old suitcase with this and am thrilled! It seems durable (I've been using for two months), has a great look, is easy to maneuver (spinning wheels help), and also has ample room in the main pocket and useful outside pockets the perfect size for your laptop, book, boarding pass, and whatever else you need to take quickly from your suitcase before boarding the plane. I would definitely purchase this again.

I've done a lot of traveling, and have gone through a lot of luggage since the early 80's. And I miss the days of no baggage fees, and having to be so careful of the size of the luggage to not get nailed with another fee when they say "Sorry, that won't fit." Since this one is specifically the size allowed for carryon for most carrier airframes (other than the little prop hoppers probably) that problem should be minimized.

This unit is VERY well constructed. No loose threads hanging out, zippers all feel nice and solid, and the pulls work well and the teeth mesh perfectly. Looks great, and the expandable/collapsable handle works well, lock and all, and feels quite solid when extended. The wheels pivot well and roll well when you're pulling it behind you, but the thing I don't like about them is that it doesn't roll well when tilted and PUSHED rather than pulled. Sometimes as I'm going it's easier to push a piece of luggage in front of me depending on traffic flow, and this one just doesn't do that at all. One of the wheels will stay in the right position to be pushed, but the other won't line up in that direction, and points off, making this thing roll in random directions. So while the wheels work quite well, it's only when pulled behind as designed...

Other than that this is one of the better pieces of luggage I've had as far as sturdiness and flexibility. the carry handle is very thick and well made, the metal bands thicker than most I've seen in this size, and double riveted to the bag itself.

I took this on a trip this week, and had no problems with it fitting in the compartments on a Delta jet, it fit both ways, shoved in wheels first so it was "longest" way to protrude, as well as pushing in sideways when there were not many people on the return flight. Held up great, no scuffs, and the little plastic bag that it comes with for toothpaste and such was enormously helpful going through customs. As was the front zippered section, which is where I carried both my iPad and my son's iPad, so they were quickly and easily removed for the security checkpoints.

So, I recently purchased this bag because I was taking a trip to Vegas and wanted a little additional space than the backpack that I normally use. The reviews for this bag were great and that was what really propelled me to get this bag.

First, about the bag. The bag is wonderful. Extra compartments, plenty of pockets, wheels/handles/zippers all work great.

However, each and every time I went to get on a plane (I had two a connecting flight both ways, for a total of 4 planes), I was asked to check my bag since it didn't fit in the airline approved compartment. The stewardess' on each flight made me place my bag (which was not opened that additional two inches and not "stuffed" by any means) in that mental sizer before boarding the plane. Of COURSE it's not going to fit. (But then again, whose carry-on bag actually fits in there?)

Either way, on 2 of the 4 flights (all Frontier), they took my bag and made me check it. On the remaining two, I was stopped by a stewardess who told me that it was too big. I told her that the bag was sized by American Airlines to fit in the overhead compartment and that it was a carry-on. Admittedly, I was getting a little annoyed by being harassed by this bag since I had purchased it with the intent of carrying on. Seeing much bigger bags be let on is also completely frustrating.

Either way, the bag DOES fit just fine in the overhead bin. Slips right in. However, as the flight attendant rudely told me, "the bag MAY fit in the overhead bin, but it doesn't mean the airline standards of size."

So....I don't know if this is an issue with Frontier or if this is something that will be encountered with other airlines. I will be flying home to Chicago using both Southwest and American Airlines (now if THEY make me check this bag I will have to laugh) so I can update this review when I have experience with other airlines.

The main for buying this carry on was to get a four-wheeled one and the correct size for American Airlines. Unfortunately, the four wheels don't roll as they should. First time in a airport, it did just fine; I was able to have it roll on my side. But after my first flight, it wouldn't roll well on the aircraft aisle. I thought it was the flooring, but the wheels kept wobbling making it impossible to roll it on my side. It looks like the wheels just can't get aligned on the right direction. The only way to roll it was to push it on front of me or drag it from the back. I could understand after many flights this happening, but not before I even got off the plane on my first flight with it! I even tried it again at home, now totally empty, to no avail.

Otherwise, the size is good. There's plenty of room and an additional 2" expansion if you need it. I measured this bag and it measures exactly as advertised. 22" x 14" x 9" (with 2" expansion). I didn't weigh it. It's listed as weighing 9 lbs empty. It didn't feel as heavy though. Even though not designed for it, the front pocket can hold a 13-14" laptop easily (but not a 15"). The quality of the fabric looks good and durable. The side water bottle holder is useful.

Price would be excellent if this rolling bag would roll as it should. (I paid around $63 with Prime delivery included.

I was hesitant to buy a new bag after having a few cheap-ies die on me (usually its the wheels that go first in my experience, especially if you have to do some walking with your bag, to get cabs, and so on).

This was my first amazon luggage purchase, and I was a bit hesitant as there weren't many photos of this particular item (you can look now, I did add a bunch!) and I wasn't familiar with the quality of the product being offered. However once the bag came, I was extremely pleased.

The bag is made of durable material, and has large secure zippers (didn't get anything caught in them, and they are easy to work with). The wheels are very smooth, when walking through the airport, this thing works well being pulled, riding beside you (all 4 wheels down) and even pushed (all 4 wheels, as 2 wheels makes it go wonky -wheels are swivel motion based, so not really for pushing, they will rotate at any slight turns).

So far I have used the bag on 2 flights and it has worked really well, both comfortable to go through security checks with, works well as a carry-on (obvious selling point for me). Not sure why someone complained that this bag was too big for carry-on? I didn't have any issues on Delta flights, even tho one plane was specifically valet, which resulted in my bag being put under the plan as opposed to above my head.

Overall, great luggage, easy to travel with, strong construction (when waiting for your flight, use it as a foot rest while reading, doesn't sag / squish down at all).

Pacsafe Luggage Rfidsafe 100 Travel Waist Wallet

Pacsafe Luggage Rfidsafe 100 Travel Waist Wallet, Black, SmallGood quality money belt. Reasonably comfortable and holds quite a bit, including passports. Seems to adjust well to multiple sizes. I used it with a shirt ticked in over it and felt very secure.

It did show a bit of a bulge through my shirt however, so it wasn't quite as stealth as I would have liked.

I prefer a Leg Wallet (Eagle Creek makes a nice one) if I can fit all I need in it. However, if you are going to use a money belt, this is a good one.

I didn't care about RFID, I needed a well made money belt. This is way too thick, so back it went.

Osprey Men's Manta 36 Hydration Pack

Osprey Men's Manta 36 Hydration Pack, Radiant Red, Medium/LargeRecently I was out hiking and a friend asked me how much I thought a good daypack would be. I told him that my dream pack was the Osprey Manta, but I didn't own it yet. When I went online to send him a link, I discovered that they had updated the series for 2013! It's slightly more expensive than the previous model, but I went ahead and bought it anyways. Here are some thoughts.

If you go to Osprey's website, You'll notice that this pack is listed as having lots of improvements over the previous years model. But what are they? There is no major feature that has been listed as having changed. All the pockets are in the same place. It's certainly possible that they adjusted the fit some, but since I didn't own the first pack I couldn't comment. As I looked at the specs, however, it became apparent that there are two huge differences.

The first difference is the size of the bag. The previous model is listed with the M/L size as 30L. In this model the M/L size is 36L. That's 1800 cu. in. for the previous model versus 2197 in the new. The smaller size went from 26L to 34L, a major increase. Though I only checked out the old versions in store, I can say that the main compartment and the electronics pocket both seem quite a bit larger.

The second major difference is the weight of the bag. Even though quite a bit of storage space was gained, the weight of the bag actually went down! The M/L bag in the previous model weight 3 lbs 2 oz, which is quite heavy for a day pack. The 2013 model comes in at 2 lbs 6 oz. More space for less weight? Yes please! I do not know if the weight of the bag is including the hydration system or not. Either way, it's gone down in weight.

The One feature I was the most excited about was the airscape back panel. From the looks of it (and the way it carries empty), you'd think that the actual bag never touches your back. This is not true. The more weight you carry and (more importantly), the more water you put in the 3 liter bladder, the more the bag sits on your back. The hydration system is designed to not fill into the actual space inside your pack (though it does some), but rather into the space in the mesh. Just don't expect that there's a full breeze through there all the time. However, the suspension is exceptionally cool! Even though parts of it do touch your back when full, there are still other parts that don't. Plus, the texture of the panel underneath the mesh has ridges on it, so air flows through very well. It's the coolest pack I've ever used.

The Hydration system is excellent. I've been hiking primarily with the platypus system of various sizes for the last 10 years. Osprey's hydration system is absolutely excellent in comparison (though the platypus is still excellent). I never detected any taste from the plastic. The bite valve has a very strong flow to it and is easy to depress with your teeth. The handle, cap, and molded back to the bladder are all excellent. One cool feature is that there is a track for the hose to run up on the panel so it stays in place. I love that there is a separate pocket for the hydration pack. The only thing to note is that the hose just comes directly out of the zipper, which once opened up some as I hiked. It's really not a problem though. I also love the way it twists back on itself to shut off.

The best feature about the system is the way the hose sits on your body. Three things contribute to this. 1. The hose is the perfect length. No extra hanging about. 2. There are straps for the hose to run through on the shoulder straps. The hose isn't detachable like on my platypus, but it's quite easy to thread in and out. 3. the magnetic sternum strap/bite valve is ingenious!

Pack size. I mostly do day hikes. I own a osprey aether 60 that's about 10 years old, but I'm a pretty light hiker so I'm capable of using a pack like this even for overnights. A few years ago I used a 30L black diamond sidewinder for a 5 day trip. I did it, but it was ready to burst! I filled this pack up with a similar load to see what it felt like. I was able to do it, but it takes a bit more planning. The carrying capacity of this pack is spread out over it's many pockets. As a day pack it's huge and works exactly as planned. If you're going to need to carry large capacity loads for any reason, be aware that you'll need to spread it out to make it fit. Also, when the pack is fully loaded I attempted to slide the water bladder in. It needed a little help, but I got it in with only minor effort.

Other features: This pack has it all. So many things to talk about. My favorite feature (and the most useful IMHO) is one that isn't as flashy. I love the dual side compression straps. My last day pack only had single straps. This feature makes it so nice to tighten down a smaller load and keep the pack balanced and flat.

The hip belt isn't a real load bearing hipbelt that lifts all of the weight off your shoulders, but it is better than many. It might lift a bit more weight but I'm unable to tighten it that much. I'm 6'1 185lbs. I didn't expect it to carry like a overnight pack though. I find it incredibly secure. The hipbelt pockets are nice but they sit back pretty far. I carry snacks for me and chapstick in one of them, and in the other I carry snacks for my dog.

I love that there is a rainfly built in to the bag. It's easy to deploy and has it's own pocket. It's sewn on so it can't be lost (UPDATE: it's actually got velcro if you want to take if off). There a number of other nice outside pockets, including the shove it pocket (which is really just the space between the two main compartments), the front stretch pocket (a good size), and the side stretch pockets. The side stretch pockets are nice but the lower side compression straps do cover them a bit.

Finally, the stow as you go pole straps are a really cool idea. What impressed me so much about them is where the poles end up sitting on your body when stowed. I can walk normally and the poles stay tucked to the inside of my body, away from my arms. It's a neat idea.

It's a dream pack. I love it. If you have any questions post them below and I'll give you an update.

UPDATE May 16, 2013: I've hiked a good number of miles now with this pack. I've also used it as a carry on bag. It's doing great! I wanted to mention that yesterday I managed to not put the cap on the water bladder properly, which caused some leakage. It actually happened twice! It was my error, but learn from my mistake and just make sure that you do indeed check to make sure it isn't leaking BEFORE you put it in your pack.

I purchased this pack mostly for my daily commute to and from work. It's about 10 miles each way, so I needed a pack that had plenty of room for clothes and lunch, but also provided a hydration system, as the ride home is usually pretty hot in the summer. I did quite a bit of research on packs before settling on this one and I'm glad that I did. The 3L hydration system is more than enough for my daily commute, but is also perfect for long mountain bike rides on the weekend. The system is easy to use and I really like the magnetic clip in the mouth valve that keeps it where it should be on the pack. The pack itself is tremendous. There are tons of pockets and it holds an incredible amount of storage. For instance, today I packed it with my tablet, clothes for work, 2 boxes of oatmeal, a bag of walnuts, a tupperware container full of my lunch, a replacement tube, tire wrench, air pressure gage, a big bottle of Listerine,my wallet, cell phone, keys and the full 3L of water. There was still room for a few more items. The pack weighed a little over 19 pounds with all of that on, but actually felt pretty light on my ride in. I love that it has the frame on the back of the pack that allows air to come through your back and not result in the soggy back that you get with most packs. It also was nice not to feel the contents of the pack slamming into your back when you hit rough spots in the road/trail. Is this pack a little pricey? Sure. Do I think that this is a case of you getting what you pay for? Absolutely! I would definitely recommend this pack for someone like me that wants something they can use for their daily commute, but also something they can use on the trails on the weekends.

This bag fits amazing, I use it for day hikes around 10 ish miles average and even for shorter runs. I've done some trail running with it the weight is distributed pretty well I however would highly recommend cinching all the compression straps, when you do it has a very low profile

It has great Space and a lot of ez access storage areas, I love the suspension straps and the mesh back is nice it allows a lot of air between u and ur bag

i haven't tried the rain cover yet but it's nice that they added this as a built in feature since this pack is bit more expensive then some of the other brands but all in all I would buy it again it feels like its going to last me a very long time

Lenovo Carrying Case for Notebooks (0A33896)

Lenovo Carrying Case for NotebooksI've had this for almost a year now & it's good as new. Excellent bag for your laptop. If you're one of those students who carry a lot of books. however, you may dislike it. It can only accommodate a few books. But this is a LAPTOP bag, after all.

The bag is too good for the price we pay. The quality of the the material is very good. I simply loved it as soon as i opend it out of the box. You wil never regreat ordering for this backback.

Skip Hop Zoo Backpack and Lunchie- Elephant

Skip Hop Zoo Backpack and Lunchie- ElephantAt my daughter's suggestion, I ordered the elephant version of Skip Hop Zoo Backpack for our grandson's upcoming second birthday. It's probably a bit large for now, but it's very well made, so he'll use it for several years. The backpack measures about 11" wide and 12" high; the lunchie is 8" x 10". The top strap of the lunchie will snap onto the backpack, meaning that the celebrant will be able to carry his own stuff (if we can convince him to wear it!) All the designs are embroidered or sewn on, not printed. This is a high-quality product.

The backpack and lunch bag are well made and very cute. It has a place inside both to write your child's name. The ears are corduroy! So precious!

This was a terrific choice for a young toddler. The backpack is just right for little arms and the matching lunch pail is a bonus!

Dakine 28-Litre Eve Pack

Dakine 28-Litre Eve PackI bought this bag because I needed a new backpack. I'm a freshman in college and I knew I'd be hauling a lot around in it, and I wanted something that would hopefully last for all four years as well as give me good back support. It's been a semester and the bag is holding up great. Absolutely no visible wear or tears anywhere. I can fit my laptop, my collapsable folder with all my notebooks and class info inside, my planner (which is pretty big) and a textbook or two. I keep all my supplies and some other stuff in the middle pocket and snacks in the smallest one. Really a great bag that holds up, and you should be able to fit everything you need into. Plus the pattern is adorable!

Bought (Highland and Jasmine) for my 12yr old daughter and 11yr old stepdaughter for school, it has a lot of storage. All around Great Backpack!!! Would buy again:)

I did a lot of research before buying this pack because I wanted a big bag that would fit all my college books, laptop, ect. This bag is perfect. There are so many pockets that there's spots for everything. There's even a lined sunglass holder pocket on the top near the straps that I stick my phone and pens in for easy access. The insulated cooler pocked is handy for times when I bring lunch when I know I'll be out and about all day. Seems to keep things cool, but not super cold. I usually stick other things in there though. The straps are so thick and comfy. It's almost like memory foam. My bag probably weighs a good 20+ lbs when I have it filled up w/ notebooks, textbooks, and my laptop, but it really doesn't feel like I'm carrying that much at all. The size of the backpack is on the larger side and I'm a petite gal at only 5'0" so it may look a little big on me, but I really don't care how it looks, as long as it holds everything I need. I have a 15.6" laptop that fits perfectly in the specified laptop pocket located in the rear of the inside main comaprtment. The back of the laptop pocket is lined in foam as it's part of the back of the backpack, and the front portion of the pocked it foam lined so it's totally protected. I throw my bag around w/ the laptop inside it and nothing ever happens to it. (I not too hard though lol) I was worried that the side mesh pockets wouldn't be big or deep enough to carry water bottles, ect, but it so is. They're pretty tall and have elastic on the top so it does handle bottles great as well as keys and other knick nacks. The organizer portion of the bag in the second pocket could be set up a little better, like in my old Burton pack, but it's ok. It fits all my books, and notebooks perfectly, with extra room on top for something else if needed. It fits my HUGE 1000 pg Bio textbook, lab book, 2 folders, and 2 smaller notebooks. I got the blue and grey plaid color and love it! It's girly without being too girly. Have used this bag consistently for 4 months now and have had no issues with it. Buy it and you'll be impressed. I was. =) Plus the price on Amazon was great!

My 8th grader uses this for school. It's amazing how many textbooks middle schoolers must carry around. The dimensions of this backpack is just right. Straps are very comfortable. Very well constructed. Plus, it's very pretty.

I've used this pack for a few weeks and it's working out great. Fits my 15in Macbook in the designated pocket just fine, I also pack my lunch and bring a few books with me too. Everything fits perfectly, and the way the backpack is designed it doesn't kill my back while im trekking across campus or making my mile walk home.

Only concern I had was how bulky it gets. I took it across the country with me and packed all my electronics (laptop, chargers, ipod, and phone), a few books and even some clothes inside. It got a little large looking, but the fact that it could even hold that much (with plenty of room to spare) was impressive enough that I honestly don't care what it would look like.

If you don't really care how large the backpack can look, I say go for it, it's perfect for university and travel, plus it's really cute.

Hello Kitty Messenger Bag

Hello Kitty Messenger BagMy 6 yr old just loves this bag. It is not as big as a normal backpack and with all the winter gear that the school requires they have it can't all fit, but still a very nice bag. Seems decently made...should be able to get a least of couple of years out of it, and for the price you can't beat it.

I bought this for my daughter and it's pretty durable for all her school items. There's also a lot of room for stuffing in as an overnight bag.

Tumi Alpha Bravo Kingsville Deluxe Brief Pack

Tumi Luggage Alpha Bravo Kingsville Deluxe Brief Pack, Black, One SizeFirst off, yes, it's an expensive backpack, but it's a Tumi. Since it's a Tumi, I expect years and years of service from it. The bag is made from their signature ballistic nylon so it should last decades like my luggage. The fit and finish are superb on this bag. All the zippers were protected for shipping so the bag was flawless on arrival. It is a very nice looking bag, the photos don't do it justice. There is a protected slot for a laptop, one for an iPad, one for what could be a netbook or file folders, a generous main cargo area and numerous side and front pockets, one of which includes a key hanger. I found the iPad slot didn't work for my iPad with its Jobi Ori cover, but the netbook sized slot worked fine. 15" laptop also fit fine. This bag will carry clothes for an overnighter in the main cargo area. There is a water bottle holder. The bag fit great in an airplane's overhead bin and under the seat.

All in all, it's a Tumi so it is functional, good looking, and will last nearly forever under hard use.

Update 3/16/2013:

Still looks great, and I am still glad I purchased it. In fact I just bought another as a gift.

I use this bag to carry my important stuff when I travel, and it is close to perfect.

The laptop sleeve inside is sized to best fit a laptop the size of a MacBook Pro or similar laptop. These days when I travel I carry an UltraBook sized laptop (a Lenovo Yoga 13), and there's plenty of room for that. You could probably squeeze in a thick laptop, but I think it may stress the lining a bit. There is another pouch opposite the laptop sleeve for carrying a tablet or second laptop. I stick my iPad in there.

One surprise I had is that there is no extra padding in the bottom of the laptop sleeve, so you can't slam the bag down hard on ground. It's less of a problem if you laptop uses a SSD hard drive, but for regular "spinning" hard drives, you need to be careful. Tumi should add some gel padding in the bottom of the laptop sleeve in future generations of this bag.

The materials are excellent (as I would expect) and it has survived many trips so far without a hitch. One of my favorite aspects of this bag is that it doesn't balloon outward as you pile in a lot of stuff. Other packs I've owned grow horizontally, sticking out further and further from your back, which is a problem when traveling. This one keeps its shape well. The two wide vertical stripes you see on the front of the bag are made from the same material as a seat belt (it seems to me), so maybe they help to keep the bag from getting misshapen when full. It all looks and works great.

The drink holder pocket (on the right side of the photo) is deep enough to hold a 1 liter SmartWater bottle. If you put a small water bottle in there, it sinks down so low you might forget it's in there.

I recommend this Tumi pack to anyone looking for a great-looking bag that can handle a lot of daily use, while keeping its shape nicely. Well worth the extra money you pay for a Tumi.

I ought this for my Mac and very pleased with it. It's light and has plenty of room. I also like how it centers the weight of my Mac book pro, so it's very comfortable to carry. A lot of pockets to carry STUFF!

to be fair the review is about the brand and not on this specific backpack.

I bought a TUMI backpack after a recommendation from a friend that mentioned there is life time warranty on it (to justify the 200$ price tag).

I decided its a good deal since I was confident I will be able to keep this bag our of harms way as far as external damages.

4+ years gone by the bag started to show some chewing done by the teeth of time from normal use and I decided to go to your friendly neighborhood TUMI store, pay a fee of 15$ for the shipping to TUMI "labs" in order to get the bag fixed or replaced. got a letter a week later asking me to contact them in 30 days or they ship the bag back "as is". (no phone call follow up god forbid in spite of the fact they get all your details when you ship it back).

the lady informed me the model I had only covered by warranty for 3 years... and other than that they cant repair the bag damage.

the only option the way they see it is for me to purchase another back at a discount.

now all that was good and nice if it was the redbull bag I bought in Thailand at 2001 for 10$ (that didn't have any damage since then by the way) but its a 200$ investment we talking about here.

the lady kindly corrected me it was 189$..

of course the fact I bought the bag in Manhattan in which you pay sale tax is not something TUMI cares to much about.

I let her know they can throw the bag and that I will make sure not me or anyone else I know will purchase their overpriced bags again, and its not because the product is not good I honestly liked it while I used it but because a company that charge so much premium for a mass manufactured product has no right to exist with this type of service.

so if you are about to buy a TUMI product I implore you to factor this incident in your decision and learn from my experience.

All the Best

Superman 16 Inch Backpack with Padded Chest Plate

Superman 16 Inch Backpack with Padded Chest PlateMy nephew loved this backpack! He was completely invested in his superhero t-shirt/cape/bib anything he could find. He never wanted to take them off (try doing laundry!). I bought this so that he could be a superhero when he started school. He couldn't have been happier.

The construction is nice, and I love that it had two pockets. His extra clothes and stuff go in the back, and school supplies in the front. It's big on him, but he'll grow into it :-)

My son love batman and this is just the coolest batman backpack. He will fill it with toys and parade around like a superstar. Shipped super quick not sure what the detachable cape is but not what i got it for.

I have a friend who loves the outdoor life and at the same time is one of the avid superman fans. I bought him this backpack and true enough, he adores it! The great thing about products like this is that they suit all ages. They can make an adult happy the same way that they create an excitement for a small child. In addition, the bag is obviously made from durable and high quality material. The padded hard plate makes it very comfortable to wear even for a long time.
