Bohemian Embroidered Ripped Razor Cut Sling Purse Handbag AND Backpack in Brown

Bohemian Embroidered Ripped Razor Cut Sling Purse Handbag AND Backpack in BrownI love that this bag is handmade by artisans in Nepal. I love that each one is unique. I love that it's fairly traded. And it's just so very super-cool looking. I bought it to use as a backpack when I ride my bicycle to work. And it's perfect for that--lightweight and just the right size. But I also use it as a purse.

I have had this purse for over 6 months. It is the only one I use anymore. I love the fact that I can make it a backpack when necessary or adjust the strap length to whatever I want too. It has plenty of room for everything I need and more. It is very very well made and extremely sturdy. it can hold quite a bit of weight. I plan to purchase more bags from them as well.

This is the only product that I immediately returned to Amazon. It is HORRIBLE. It was basically in a small, very wrinkled ball in a plastic bag when delivered. It is extremely poorly made and would not have lasted one shopping spree. Believe me, don't even think about this bag, it's nothing like the picture and would not add to your Bohemian Fashion Image. It looks like it came from the trash.

The history behind this bag is so cool, but I have difficulty keeping it on my shoulders. It only stays up about 3 minutes, no matter how I seem to tie it. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong. I have defaulted to just slinging it over one shoulder. I really wanted a backpack type bag though...

Targus DKSBP1 Madison Video Backpack

Targus DKSBP1 Madison Video BackpackInterior can be separated into upper and lower compartments with a "shelf" that velcroes in. Lower one has zip side opening for removal of lower contents/camera without disturbing upper contents. This is great for using two cameras, or just separating all your "stuff" from the camera.

My Rebel XTi fits fine in lower compartment with standard lens. It takes a bit of practice to get it in/out through the side zipper with the 70/300 lens, but it fits fine. My Sony HDR-HC3 Handicam takes up only half that compartment.

Zip pocket in front offers a bit more space for accessories, keys, etc. A couple other small pockets would have been great, though it's sleeker looking w/o them. As it is, I could easily carry the DSLR, 2 lenses, the video camera, and a point and shoot camera (my usual gear) and still have room for keys and wallet.

My biggest difficulty with it is that the strap is long enough for use as a backpack, but the bag is really kinda small to be worn that way. Using the strap over the shoulder is much more likely and yet the straps are really too narrow and unbalanced to make that comfortable. I would have preferred that the strap be comfortable for shoulder carrying, since that is the most likely way it will be used.

It does do a good job of protecting and separating camera gear. It's spacious. And neutral enough that I can sometimes get my husband to carry it. Only problem is the strap and balance...traveling in cities with it on your back is just asking to have someone snap it (no zipper on top) open and grab your stuff.

I'd probably be less happy if I'd paid full price, at the $20 I paid for it, I can put up with the strap.

Angry Birds 12" Backpack Black

Angry Birds 12' Backpack Blackmy baby loves this bakpack, he uses for school everyday and sometimes even when there is no school he wants to take it with him.

Bought this for my grandson and it is the perfect size for him. The other backpacks are way too big for toddlers but this is just right. Very well made with quality materials and lots of pockets to keep toys, snacks, and clothes in.

Kata KT D-3N1-33 3 In 1 Sling /Backpack with Laptop Slot

Kata KT D-3N1-33 3 In 1 Sling /Backpack with Laptop SlotLast year I decided that it was time to replace my camera backpack and after much research, realized that the SINGLE perfect bag just does not exist. So, I decided that I would need to get 2 bags-one for my day out excursions and another for my week+ long vacations when I am away from home. For the former, I got the Lowepro Slingshot 200 All Weather Backpack (Black), which is GREAT (see my Amazon review for details). However, it isn't big enough to carry as much of my gear as I want for longer trips, including my laptop. So, I knew that I was going to be buying a complementary bag for those occasions. I have been waiting for the 3N1-33 since I first learned of its impending arrival in November 2009. As soon as it became available on Amazon, I snapped one up.

First, I will highlight what I like about this bag:

1. It is light-much lighter than the camera backpack that it is replacing.

2. It has a huge capacity-I can easily pack everything I own into this bag, including my Canon 30D, 70-200mm 2.8 IS and hood and case, 17-55mm 2.8 IS and hood, 50mm 1.4, Canon 1.4 multiplier,430EX II flash, Kenko extension tubes, Arctic Butterfly and Loupe, filter packs, Pocket Wizards, BH-55 tripod head, battery charges, manuals, cords, lens cleaning supplies, and more.

3. ALL the backpack straps tuck away-LOVE this feature! Nothing to hang out when carrying it around as a bag instead of a backpack. ALL camera backpack makers should follow Kata's lead here.

4. The quick-draw release system-VERY quick to get at your camera.

5. Carries my 15.4" laptop with room to spare.

6. Comfortable waist straps

7. It is a good size-even though I am a smaller man, it doesn't look or feel too big on me

8. Excellent construction-solid stitching, rugged materials

At first glance, this bag seemed to be about as good as it gets. However, after using it a few times, I discovered its shortcomings...

1. The 3-in-1 system, while a GREAT concept, just doesn't really work with this bag. In fact, the bag doesn't really work well as a sling bag at all. The bag is so big that you do end up carrying a ton of gear in it. However, the weight of all that gear really adds up. While it is very easy to sling the bag into position, it is quite difficult to put back on your back with any real weight in the bag. Additionally, because of the flexibility provided by the 3-in-1 system, the shoulder straps really don't work great for any one of the configurations. In sling mode the single shoulder strap rides up your shoulder to your neck and can be uncomfortable. In backpack mode, the straps ride out towards the edges of your shoulders and don't distribute the weight very well. In X-position mode (both straps attached in sling mode), both straps ride up to your neck and squeeze your neck. Regardless of how you wear the bag, I would recommend wearing a collared shirt to prevent as much chafing as you can.

2. The lower internal area is very roomy, but not overly configurable. It works great if you want to have your long lens attached to the camera body in sling mode, but, if you want to carry your long lens unattached, and have another lens attached to the body, the internal dividers aren't really flexible enough to accommodate that. You are forced to put your long lens in the top section, which then essentially means that not much else can go there. So, if you are going to be using multiple lenses including your long lens, you end up swapping gear around from bottom to top quite often.

3. Minor nitpick-the top handle, while very sturdy, causes you to carry the bag at its widest position (i.e. it extends away from your body the maximum width12.6"-of the bag) to be comfortable. If the handle were turned 90 degrees, then it would only extend 9.3" from your body.

Unfortunately, for me, the negatives outweigh the positives and, like the other reviewer here, I have decided to return my bag. I think my lesson learned is that ANY sling bag of this size is probably going to suffer from the same usability issues due to the sheer amount of weight it can carry. If the bag really cannot perform as a true sling pack, then I have decided it is better to just get a true backpack instead. The alternative backpack-only bags that I am looking at are all much less expensive which is an added advantage (the extra $50+ just for a laptop sleeve seemed a bit extreme anyway...)

There is so much to love about this bag-I really wish it had worked out better for me.

I was looking for the perfect camera bag for a DSLR camera, 3 common lenses (70-200 telephoto, wide angle, and 50mm prime), flash, and a few filters. Additionally I want to carry an iPad and misc. things like lunch, guide book, water bottle, tripod, etc. Perfect to me means light weight, easy access, rain proof, flexibly configurable interior, and good padded straps so it is comfortable on a longer walk/hike.

After an exhaustive search the Kata 3N1-33 was the closest I could get to perfect. Other bags I considered were the Lowepro Fastpack 250, Tamrac Evolution 8, Tamrac 3385 Aero Speed Pack 85, Lowepro Slingshot 302 AW, and the Lowepro Flipside 200. I read extensively about them all, compared stats on weight and dimensions, and tried all of them on in stores too.

Bottom line is the camera gear above is a lot both in terms of volume and weight. There is just no small/light pack that will carry all of it, and there's no getting around the fact that you have a big bag and a lot of weight on your back.

I quickly ruled out all the sling-only models as that much gear gets too uncomfortable with the weight on 1 shoulder. I tried it and they would only work on very short excursions. For the backpack models, the Tamrac Aero 85 is nice (good waterproof zippers, fairly light, laptop compartment), but it doesn't have a waist nor sternum strap (very important for longer walks/hikes). The build was a tad thin too less protection but OK for a short jaunt or day trip. In contrast the Tamrac Evolution 8 is built incredibly ruggedly great internal padding, rugged exterior, strong weather-protected zippers, excellent straps (with waist and sternum straps), intelligently designed with carabiner clip points everywhere and many exterior pockets, and with a more stylish appearance overall. But with the Evo 8 the interior was tight, just barely fitting the gear above and requiring a struggle at times to get it in/out, and it is flat out heavy a full pound heavier than the Kata 3N1-33. But if weight is no object for you and the interior tightness doesn't trouble you, the Evolution 8 really is an excellent bag. The Lowepro Flipside 200 is promising very slim in profile and light, but the internal layout is not very configurable you can't move the position of the camera and it is always facing with the top of the camera into your back. Looked/felt kind of weird but in the end it works for only the camera gear and nothing else at all. Lastly the Lowepro Fastpack 250 really met all my functional requirements. It is light (a tad lighter than the Kata), fits all my gear comfortably, large laptop slot, nice waist strap. But it has no sternum strap, no weatherproofing/cover, and the build quality was a level below the Kata.

No bag was a clear winner, but for my purposes I'd say the top 3 are the Kata 3N1-33, Tamrac Evolution 8, and Lowepro Fastpack 250, with the Lowepro Aero 85 a runner-up. Ultimately I chose the Kata 3N1-33 because it fits all my gear comfortably (unlike the Evo 8 which was tight), build quality was very high all around (unlike Fastpack 250), and it is light (unlike the Evo 8). The cross-strap flexibility of the Kata seemed interesting too.

Now that I've owned the Kata for a month, here's the real scoop on its performance. It is a very nice bag. Build quality is indeed good, though I wish the zippers were a tad more rugged (not that I've had any issues, but it just seems like I might mess them up some day). The interior design and the way the zipper routes all the way around the side-entry and main compartment is smart. It is easy to open the bag way up and quickly load in your gear. You can't do that with the Tamrac Evolution 8 since the main compartment and the side-entry areas are separated by permanent fabric. The Kata's "Yelloop" interior is nice it's very easy to see everything inside (including filters) unlike the black/grey interiors of all other competing bags. Also the Kata's interior is remarkably configurable due to the Velcro being everywhere; most other bags had far less Velcro inside so the configuration was more limited. A simple yet smart feature is the way the dividers nearest the side entry easily un-Velcro by gripping and pulling on a tab and folding back, giving you easy access to other lenses for a quick change. No other bag had that easy access. The laptop slot is huge and with an extra-padded bottom so you won't worry about your laptop crunching when you set the bag down. The top compartment is very roomy and holds everything you'd need. Straps are comfortable and it has a good waist strap, though I did wish it had a sternum strap. In theory the adjustable straps enable you to move to sling mode or X-mode (which obviates the need for a sternum strap), but in reality I found that I use only the traditional backpack-style configuration. The loaded bag is just too heavy for sling mode, and in the X mode you can't swing the bag around easily to get at the side entry (yes you could unbuckle one of the straps, but that's a pain). I found it's easiest to use in backpack mode just withdraw 1 arm and sling it around on the remaining shoulder. And BTW the side-entry thing is awesome very easy to whip out your camera quickly for immediate shooting. Oh and the rain cover is terrific I used it on my very first day out when we were hit with a surprise rain shower. Great to know the gear was totally protected.

Here are the features I wish the Kata 3N1-33 had (but it doesn't):

Sternum strap

Dedicated water bottle mesh pocket

Carabiner mount points all over the exterior

More elegant way to strap on a tripod (the Evo 8 has that built in; with the Kata it's a purchased add-on)

A large flat pocket on the outside for storing camera manuals and such. Tamrac Aero 85 had this, and it's nice to put rarely used items like manuals in their own pocket rather than consuming space in the upper compartment.

Last but not least I wish some camera bag company would design a bag specifically for an iPad/tablet, rather than adding a full-sized laptop slot. The laptop slot adds about a full inch to the bag's thickness and .5 1 pound of weight. I really want a slightly smaller bag that carries an iPad, my camera gear, and some misc. stuff in the top compartment. It would be great to get that and a smaller/lighter bag to boot.

As it stands overall I am very pleased with the Kata 3N1-33. It holds all my gear with ease, is nicely designed and configurable, high build quality, and its light. It's ... nearly perfect.

This bag is BIG and it gets to 25 pounds easily with your camera gear & laptop on board. It is perfect for a carry on bag that holds everything you need (and probably some that you don't) for a photo trip. I easily put a laptop, 3 SLR bodies, 5 lenses (including my old school 80-200mm telephoto), charger, flash and a point and shoot into it.

Once loaded, you really need both shoulder straps to carry the load. The waist strap secures the pack nicely. That makes it a little harder to access your camera from the side zippered flap, but it is still very convenient. This pack is going from car to plane to car to travel destination. From there, I will unpack what I plan to bring on a walk about and put it in a Kata DT-213 a much more reasonable sling pack. I don't see myself doing any hiking with the 3N1-33.

Laptop sleeve is well thought out and perfect for holding both lap top and charger. Zippered outside pocket makes it convenient for airport security compliance.

Design, materials and features are exceptional. Let's see how it holds up after a few trips.

I did a lot of research on camera bags. I looked at the Tamrac Evolution 8, Lowepro fastpack 350 and this Kata 3n1-33 bag. By the way, i'm a 5'5" male. Here's what i came up with:

Lowepro Fastpack 350:

Pros:

-cheapest!

-decent quality

-fits large computers (at least 15.6"-17")

Cons:

-kinda boxy and large for my size

-no tripod holder (not that big of a deal, you'll figure out a way to attach it)

-quick access only on one side

-no rain cover

Tamrac Evolution 8

Pros:

-build quality slightly better than Lowepro

-quick access both sides

-tripod mount

-raincover

-sling/backpack option

-better shape. It tapers at the top so i think it looks better, but you will sacrifice some space. It's more aerodynamic if you were flying through the air like superman.

Cons:

-most expensive!

-heavier (from specs)

-barely fits my Dell Precision M2400 (14") with larger battery. If i had a 15.6", it may not fit.

Kata 3N1-33

Pros:

-Great build quality

-tripod mount

-raincover

-access on both sides

-comfortablly holds my computer

-sling/backpack option

Cons:

-It's super boxy for my size

Here's my take. I dont feel much of a difference in weight. Lowepro may be a tad lighter. Having the sling/backpack option seems like a clever idea, but i dont know if i would ever wear these bags as a sling because it just feels awkward. the bags are too big for a sling. the raincover is nice, but putting it on is not as easy as the videos. but if you do plan on going to niagra falls or plan on a rainforest trip, you may want one. Access on both sides is nice so you can access lenses. the tripod mount is nice, but it does not fit my Manfrotto 732CY very well, which i thought was a compact tripod. You can make it fit, but like some other reviewer said, it really feels awkward because your center of gravity is off because its so far from your body. I just need to use a mini tripod if i travel, or hang my Manfrotto on the bottom or side. If you plan on bringing your computer, make sure it fits. I plan on getting a 15.6" so i'm pretty sure it wont fit in the tamrac. by the way, all bags carry my gear: d7000, 70-300mm, 50mm, 18-200mm, 11-16mm Tokina. When i first packed my Kata bag, i didn't zip the bottom all the way, i just had the clips on, and my 50mm fell out and shattered! So make sure everything is fully zipped up before putting the bag on.

So what's my final decision? I love the Kata bag, but....it's just way too huge for my size. I feel like an astronaut. I would have went went with the Tamrac Evo 8 but it wont fit my computer if i got a larger one (15.6"). I ended up dropping the idea of bringing my laptop and I got a tamrac Evolution 6. I tried to make the Kata work because i loved that bag, but it's just too big. My suggestion is try to find a camera store to put these bags on. it's hard to tell how they fit without trying them. So if you're a small guy or short girl, consider the Tamrac. If the Kata fits well on your body, then it's a great bag. If you have a budget, go with the Lowepro.

This bag is made very nice and sturdy. However it's like trying to wear a suitcase on your back and swing it around to the front and back again. I couldn't do it. When I tried the cross position the straps road up and rubbed against the sides of my neck leaving them all red and blotchy and feeling like I was being choked. It unhooked easily enough to swing around front and get the camera out but as it did, it burned my skin from the friction and dragged my clothing around with it, so I don't feel it works as advertised (for me anyway). I'm in FL so it's not like I could wear a turtleneck to help protect my skin, so you might want to keep this in mind. The strap has a small amount of texture to it which may help to prevent it from slipping on clothing, but really isn't skin friendly at all. Also that small amount of texture made it very difficult to swing it back around to the back position. Again scraping against my neck and dragging my shirt around with it. I'm guessing it would be impossible once it was filled with gear. Maybe if the straps were softer it wouldn't have been so bad?? The standard back pack position felt comfortable but I bought it mostly for the quick draw benefit.

There are some really nice features in this bag. It fit my Dell 15" xps like it was made for it and didn't really take up any room. nice. The quick pull of the tab to open it to take out your camera is really nice. The side access had enough room to keep my 100-400mm canon L series lens attached and ready to shoot. That's why I ordered the 30 series as opposed to the 10 or 20. So if that's the size lens you have, it will fit. It has plenty of storage space. I did think that the storage area on the side of the camera was pretty difficult to access though.

I think it would work best for someone larger than me, and I'm not all that small at 5'6" medium build. So you strong 6' guys out there, you may love it. That may be who wrote all the rave reviews. It was larger than I expected so measured it. The width is larger than 12.6" and that was with nothing in the bag. Maybe that's measured seam to seam, but I'm sure if I filled it, it could go to 14"+ or so easily.

Just too big for me. I felt like I was struggling with it. I was exhausted in a half hour and I didn't even fill it. I just practiced the different ways to wear it with my camera inside and tried to whip it around and take the camera out as advertised. Let's just say, it sounds a lot easier than it is in real life.

Hope this review helps you in your search.

The Glo Bag SET - The Ultimate Gym Locker Organizer Backpack WITH Hanging Cosmetic Bag: Gold

The Glo Bag SET - The Ultimate Gym Locker Organizer Backpack WITH Hanging Cosmetic Bag: GoldThis bag is so great. It was stolen out of my truck less than 2 hours after the first use. It held all of my gear with room for more. I am 6'2" wear mens 11 shoe, everything fits perfect. I did however purchase this for 99.00+12.00 s/h. Now I see the price has went up to 124.00 + s/h I am buying again, guess I have to pony up for the extra $$$. That is how much I love this bag. BTW I was out of my truck less than 10 min, when someone busted the back window and took it from the floor board. Smash and grab. Even the thieves want this bag:-) I am also buying new workout shoes also.

Thomas Bates Nantucket Madras Backpack--SALE!

Thomas Bates Nantucket Madras BackpackI was expecting to recieve a backpack that was the same color as the one listed on the picture on the website. Also, this is a mini-purse not a full back. The one delivered was completely blue madras with no pastel colors as shown. Very misleading. Will save it to give as a gift for a child not an adult.

Built NY Polka Dots Laptop Sleeve

Built E-LS12-D07 12-Inch Laptop SleeveThis fits great for my new mackbook pro 15.4". I had ordered the larger size and it was way too big (and they sent the wrong design). This is perfect! Highly recommend it:)

This sleeve stretches to fit my IBM ThinkPad without any wiggle room whatsoever, but it is not so tight that it puts a strain on the zipper or stitching. It fits it like a glove. If that is what you want, then this is great it will feel like you have a custom-fit sleeve. (The dimensions of my laptop are: 12 7/8" x 10 1/2" x 1 1/4" when closed). The fabric, zipper and construction all seem high-quality. The background color and zipper are a dark chocolate brown, not black (the photo labeled "Dot No. 7 is accurate). Too bad there is not a handle or room for the power cord, that would make it a lot more useful when travelling. Even a pocket for my SecurID or a flash drive would be nice, too. Wish I would have waited a few weeks, the price went down $8 or so since I bought it in mid-June, but it was still a good deal compared to what you find in other stores.

The pic on amazon is incorrect. It's actually the bone shaped laptop case, not the handled sack pictured. And, it fits my Toshiba Satellite A15, which is a tablet PC, perfectly. Measurement wise, my laptop should fit into the 15", bought it, too small, but the 17" is perfect. My computer is 13"x12"x1-1/2". Very thick padding, great item.

This thing has a high quality zipper to lock everything inside adn plenty of space for everything. I can still hook it to my carabiner while I shop and it has a lifetime warranty.

No big bells and whistles here just good design and construction. The Travel Agent is exactly what I was looking for.

High Sierra Express Lumbar Pack

High Sierra Express Lumbar PackI own this, the Envoy, and the Passport.

Based on the review citing BPA I called the manufacturer. They switched to a bottle with no BPA over a year ago so that is no longer a concern. The bottle and the package now indicate this.

Just the main compartment can hold a compact umbrella, wallet, cell phone, and key case with room to spare. The smaller front compartment alone is big enough to hold a wallet, cell phone, and keys with room to spare. A lot of capacity.

The pack seems very well made. Easy opening/closing zippers, sturdy material, comfortable backs, a loop on the bottom to which you can fasten something.

The Express (this unit) feels less massive than the Envoy when wearing it. The Envoy has more capacity but no water bottle holders. Effectively, if you need to carry a water bottle this Express may have more usable space than the Envoy since the Express has two very spacious top-opening compartments with a pocket in the larger one. These are in addition to the two water bottle holders.

If you want greater capacity and do not need to carry a water bottle consider the High Sierra Envoy. High Sierra Envoy Lumbar Pack

If you want a comfortable although small unit just to carry for example a wallet, cell phone, and keys then consider the Passport. High Sierra Passport Lumbar Pack.

First off, I'm glad Amazon carries this product -but I really wanted to physically inspect a number of lumbar packs, make comparisons, and decide if it met my capacity, comfort, and utilitarian needs. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any in my area stores.

As it was, choosing this particular pack was almost torturous as you don't get a clear idea of what it can hold. And so I kept vacillating between a few High Sierra products -this one, the Diplomat (which seemed too high and narrow), the Ridgeline (maybe to large?), and the Envoy and Passport (both of which didn't have bottle pockets). But in the end, this product seemed like the best choice.

The primary motivation for getting a lumbar pack is that I needed a mini diaper bag, something I could bring to museums, etc., with the kids and have full function of my arms and hands. Fanny packs didn't fit the bill because I don't want something bulky in the front as it gets in the way. Backpacks are size-overkill and make for sweaty backs in the summer.

That said, it's a nice pack with 2 pockets (one large, one small). For me, one holds a travel size baby wipe case, a few diapers and cream; the other, car keys, camera or flip, sunglasses. Not much more could fit maybe other slim electronic devices like a phone and iPod, but since there are only 2 pockets one has to consider what's going to be scraping against what.

The mesh bottle holders are nice -they are each designed with a stretchy loop that holds the bottle snug so it doesn't fall out. That's good but it also means that blindly reaching behind to reinsert a bottle is a finger-fumbling act. Maybe I'm lame, but I have to rotate the pack to the front to place the bottles back. The holders hold most any 16-20oz bottle: bottled h2o, soda, arizona iced tea, etc.. The included bottle is useless to me as it contains BPA -sort of idiotic given the chemical's bad press.

Lastly, if you need to access your stuff *often*, get a fanny pack -reaching behind or rotating constantly isn't convenient, especially if you have a camera in there.

Overall a well-made, comfortable, and useful product. Would recommend.

A great entry-level pack, very practical and well suited for the casual/day hiker and/or anyone who doesn't want to spend $50-60 or more on a pack from a "fancier" equipper. The pack is well constructed and carries plenty of water. The central cargo container is modest -it's not going to work as a diaper bag -but if you're looking for a pack that optimizes H2O capacity (has pockets for two water bottles) without being a huge monster, the High Sierra Express is a good choice. For a slim profile, buy a second 500mL water bottle. Or if you need to reduce bulk in your luggage, leave the included 500mL bottle at home -the Express' twin pockets will easily carry two 1-liter bottled waters from any convenience store at your destination with only a small change to the balance of the pack on your body. (A 1L bottle is taller than the included 500mL bottle, of course, but the pockets are still deep enough to hold it securely.)

The High Sierra Express is comfortable to wear, not too heavy, and is narrow enough for even the most slender of users. The belt, adjustable from 18" to 55", is ordinary webbing, not padded -slightly less luxurious for long-term wear but also less bulky.

The High Sierra Express offers a great balance of overall size/bulk, water capacity, cargo capacity, comfort, and price! When I need to replace my second, older Outdoor Equipment lumbar pack, I plan to buy another High Sierra Express. :-)

I bought this for half day hikes into Big Cypress Forest Preserve in South Florida. The belt is strong enough to hold three lens pouches for relatively heavy zoom lenses. The pack is big enough for a tighly rolled poncho, bug repellant, snake bit kit, compass, mirror, whistle, matches, utility knife, cell phone, notepad, pen, lens cleaner and lens paper, bandana, and a pound of trail mix. The side pockets easily hold two bottles for water. It does get heavy, especially with the lenses so I use workshop suspenders to take some of the load off of my hips. This is a nice alternative to a camera vest which can be pretty hot to wear; and a lot easier to use than a back pack. And it is very well made.

I like the size of the compartments very roomy. the back compartment can fit a small paperback and the front compartment is good for keys, phone, etc. The fit is good with the adjustable straps. it is a comfortable, well-made product.

Jansport Elefunk Tote (Black)

JanSport Elefunk Bag, Fluorescent Block CheckI originally got this bag about 6 years ago (in 2003). It was perfect, there were so many little pockets that you could organize everything you needed. Plus, it doesn't look huge, but it holds ALOT of stuff.

I purchased another one for my boyfriend recently (Fall 2008) b/c he was so in love with my bag. The design in generally the same, but the quality of the material has seriously deteriorated. You can tell the fabric is made of much cheaper stuff. The front zip pocket use to have a compartment to slide things into, but it now just sown directly onto the bag (eliminating a good partition in front pocket). There is also this tiny piece of fabric sown on as a 'handle' to use to carry it, but it's so feeble, it's not really much of an improvement.

If you didn't know what the old one was like, I'd still say it was a pretty good bag...nice colors options now too, but clearly cutting back on the quality of the materials and workmanship.

I purchased this bag for my partner who is pursuing college. He absolutely loves this bag. There are a number of zippered compartments on the body of the bag. The front flap also has a small pocket for easy access externally which, is secured by clips that attach to the bottom of the bag. Beneath the flap is another zippered compartment that is very handy. It has a number of pockets, a key ring, among other areas to keep yourself organized, this zippered area provides a secure place to carry a wallet or music player without having the worry of being pick-pocketed. We live in Chicago and this is a wonderful commuter bag as well. The strap has an adjustable pad for heavier loads as well as a padded back for wearing while biking. There is also a netted external pouch for bottles. The main compartment of the bag is secured by a long zipper that runs the length of the opening and also has a padded divider for occasionally transporting any size laptop. It was money well spent, as he'll be sure to use the bag for years to come. I hope this helps in your decision.

This bag is absolutely perfect! I keep my 14.1" laptop, usb mouse, battery charger, palm pilot, palm pilot keyboard and random paperwork in this bag, and it is NOT overstuffed! Everything important for my daily travels fits in this bag, and still looks stylish with the slim fit pockets!

There is a wide foam pad that I lay my laptop against, and I have nothing to worry about as I carry it along while shooting pictures.

The construction is the best, but then again, it is a Jansport, so you should already know that you have nothing to worry about in that department.

I would highly recommend this bag for laptop and business paperwork carrying.

I was disappointed when I got this bag at first, primarily because it was huge! And it seemed like it wouldn't hold its shape.

After getting discouraged by Amazon's return policy, I decided to use it anyway. And I am so glad I did.

I have been using it to carry my gym clothes, office documents, lunch box, and am really happy with its performance and quality and guess what it does hold its shape.

Would have loved to see more compartments (-1 star for this), but it isn't so bad the way it is right now.

My 9 y.o. daughter was clear she wanted a messenger bag, preferably in turquoise with at least 3 pockets. This bag fit the bill perfectly! It has 3 large pockets which all close with heavy-duty zippers. The largest pocket is big enough to carry a 3-ring binder, lunch bag, several books, notebooks, folders and a jacket. There are several smaller pockets internally for pencils, small notebooks, phones, etc. The handle is broad enough to not twist easily and can be adjusted to fit shorter or longer bodies. She has only used it for 3 weeks but so far, it seems like it will hold up well throughout the year and she loves it! The bag we bought is mostly turquoise with a bit of white near the bottom. It is not the plaid one shown in the photo.

Everest Patterned Wheeled Backpack

Everest Patterned Wheeled BackpackThis bag has more room inside and expands farther out than I thought. Excellent quality and double wheels that I taped with electrical tape so they last even longer. This is a great bag for anyone taking public transit.

Airform Carrying case for RCA Small Wonder EZ205 RCA EZ300HD

Airform Carrying case for RCA Small Wonder EZ205Item arrived in a timely manner and in condition described. It is a nice, compact carrying case that has enough body to it to protect the camcorder. Too bad the RCA Small Wonder camcorder did not work for very long so the nice little case is now empty.

Sumdex Altitude Professional Laptop Backpack -15.4"

Sumdex Altitude Professional Laptop Backpack -15.4 - Dark KhakiWow. I was so happy when I opened the package with my new laptop bag in it yesterday.

I was a little worried that since the suggested retail price was so much higher than what the seller was asking for this that it would cheap or awkwardly shaped or something. But I worried for no reason! This is a very nice bag and looks more like luggage than a backpack. I had considered investing in a 200 Tumi laptop backpack, but I'm so glad I saved my money.

The pockets are also very nice...lots of hidden pockets and zippers to stash important things There is also a luggage tag tucked away and a removable key fob...perfect for the office keys that don't get used every day. The main pocket has plenty of room for files, a book or two and has a nice padded section for a laptop. Only problem i see so far is that the front pocket, which has a lot of little nooks and crannies, is a little hard to access because it doesn't unzip on the sides. I can imagine I'll "lose" things in there. I love that there is a small pocket on the strap that I could put my iPhone in while I'm at airports and the top zipper compartment is perfect for the things I'll access frequently like my wireless mouse and headphones.

All in all this is a great choice if you're a busy professional or grad student who wants to save their back but doesn't want to carry around a hiking pack!

JanSport Half Pint Classic Daypack

Jansport Half Pint BackpackI bought the Half Pint before going to Disney World with my daughter's fifth grade class at school & absolutely love it! It was the perfect size to carry around sunscreen, rain ponchos, a disposable camera, my wallet & cell phone. It was even a perfect fit for the net bags they have on all the rides to put your things in. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone!

I was looking for something smaller than a regular backpack, but more versatile and roomy than the typical backpack-purse. This product is exactly what I wanted. I'm VERY pleased.

I clicked on a picture of an all black bag and all it said was "black". When I received it, it had skulls and roses on it and the description on the invoice said that this was what I ordered. I went back in to see if I had made an error. I went up to the point of checkout and it automatically switches it from solid black to the bag with skulls! Be careful when you order, double-check the description before clicking checkout. The picture shows a solid black bag.

My girlfriend wanted something small, since we go to disneyland alot she got tired of carrying her purse around so she wanted a backpack but something small to just fit her wallet and accessories, and this was just the perfect size she loved it...

Want JanSport Half Pint Classic Daypack Discount?

This bag is too small to use for a backpack for school, a folder is too big for it. My toddler wanted a backpack and this backpack was perfect because it was classic (we do not like to buy things with Dora, Disney, Elmo, etc) and a perfect size for her to carry around. It could be used by someone older to carry around (the straps are adjustable) but don't expect to carry binders, folders or textbooks in it. It is stylish as well that will take her through years, I have a Jansport that I have had for 10 years or more, lasted all the way through college. I hated that they didn't have a solid pink or more solid colors available.

Jeep Battalion 20" Hardside Spinner

Jeep Battalion 20' Hardside SpinnerWe have two of these. If you are looking for a LIGHT WEIGHT CARRY ON then these are great. We have used ours on several international flights and two 10 day cruises. They will survive the overhead bins, the trunk of a rental car and being packed under the bed on a cruise ship. The zippers are strong and the wheels work fine going through airports, paved parking lots, hotel and cruise ship hallways. I WOULD NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES CHECK THESE BAGS, they do not appear to have been designed for that. Like I said, they are light weight to meet the weight limit (10 kilo's) and size (20¨) of a carry on bag for international travelers.

Unfortunately the suitcase didn't even survive the first use. After arriving in Miami, the suitcase was dented in each corner, actually there sere no corners left since all were smashed in, plus I had a hard time opening it. Can't say it was the fault of USAirways or the luggage but wouldn't buy this luggage again.

Fox Juniors Dirt Vixen Backpack

Fox Juniors Dirt Vixen Backpack, Black, One SizeAbsolutely love my new backpack. It doesn't fit my 17" laptop in it but that's fine by me. It comes with a holder that you can put your pens, pencils, highlighters, and whatever else is similar in size. Would recomend to anyone who loves leopard/zebra print and wants a reliable, sturdy backpack!

Gregory Z35 Backpack

Gregory Z35 Backpack, Currant Red, MediumThis is my fifth Gregory pack, but one of my least favorite. I bought the Z35 to replace my 1992 Mountainsmith Bugaboo. That pack cost $235 when adjusted for inflation, and has been repurposed as a canyoneering pack. Thanks to the wonders of globalization and the outsourcing of labor and materials, the Z35 was half the cost. I've found it to be a relatively decent enough pack, but have (as always) some nitpicks that knock a few stars off my rating.

One issue is the curved nature of the pack bag. I recognize this is an inherent issue with any pack that creates an air space between your back and the load, but it is still an annoyance to load and unload. I didn't take a star off for this, as that's a relatively acceptable trade off for a cooler back.

My second complaint is the access zipper on the front that allows you to get to the upper portion of the pack bag. This has limited utility, as it's only slightly more convenient than simply going in from the top of the bag. Of course, a lower zipper would be preferable, but with the front stuff pocket, that's not going to happen.

Now, my two significant issues...

THE HIP BELT BUCKLE IS NOT USER-REPLACEABLE! When your hip buckle breaks (and it will at some point most likely at the most inopportune time), you cannot simply slide another one on. The buckle is sewn into place on both sides to facilitate the "ergo-pull" tightening system (you know, pulling straps towards your center, rather than away). I suppose it could be repaired in field if you bring a VERY heavy-duty needle and thread and some sort of stitching ripper, but expect your repair time to be measured in hours rather than seconds. This drawback isn't unique, my Osprey Kestrel 48 has the same problem, but it isn't unavoidable either, as my Gregory Palisade demonstrates.

Secondly, any sort of spine flexion will push the cross-bar of the "CrossFlo DTS" suspension into your lower back, particularly when the pack is loaded. This isn't painful, but isn't very comfortable either. Keeping your back straight and only bending at the hips will help somewhat, but it the weight of your load and gravity will conspire to push that damnable "X" into you.

So, in summary; the Z35 is an acceptable, but not great, pack for heavy dayhikes or light overnighters.

Transworld Mesh Backpack - Orange

Transworld Mesh Backpack - Orangemost JHS and SHS require mesh bags nowadays and the cheap ones last about 3-5 months before ripping this one however seems more durable. wasn't as big as I expected but it serves its purpose plus the kid has a taste for orange colored things right now.

What i didn't like :

Bag wasn't as solid orange as the orange in the picture.

When i got the bag, there was already a rip in the bag.

After a few weeks, the bag started ripping at the bottom sides and the front pocket as well.

IT has no shape so it's lumpy and sometimes annoying to carry on back.

It was so hard to close this bookbag and to put things in this bag.

Constantly have to fix my things inside because they would constantly move around.

Edit :

I forgot to say that even though i only put a binder and 1-2 composition books in it, it was still breaking. Can't really handle much.

Our school requires a see through back pack if we want to carry our stuff with us. This pack was a good price and it has been durable so far. The only issue I have is that it is 100% mesh so the back could be of a more supportive or durable material especially when carrying odd shaped things like pencils.

Herschel Supply Co. Sierra

Herschel Supply Co. Sierra, Camper Orange, One SizeFinally settled on this pack after shopping for a bit love its capacity and the way it looks. The only cons are 1) the faux leather pull-tabs on the zippers keep working themselves off and I'm afraid I'll lose one, and 2) there's no organizer in the small front pocket, which makes you have to dig around to find any small items, pens, change, etc....don't know why the left this out, they have one in so many of their other bags.
