My 4 year old was so excited to get this backpack, but like the previous review, we have a broken zipper on the lunch bag after almost no use. He has never used the lunch bag, but it has been attached to the backpack. Now the zipper on the lunchbag is missing, and it is therefore useless. Crossing fingers that the backpack zipper hangs in there a little longer. Only used 3 weeks, twice a week. Very disappointing!

I bought this as a gift for my mom because she needed a new purse & she likes the backpack kind. After only a month or two, the zippers came apart along the seams. The fabric the zippers are mounted on is so thin it couldn't stand up to normal everyday wear-&-tear. It also doesn't seem like it's real leather as the description claims. I was so disappointed. Her previous purse lasted about 8 years before the zippers failed & the liner ripped. Definitely don't buy this as a daily purse.

When my 5th grade daughter came home with a sore back and a 17lb backpack, we knew it was time to look for a rolling backpack. After researching for the best/sturdiest one out there (and believe me, we looked at them ALL!)... this one seemed to be the best for her needs. The size appeared to be good also. However.... the first day she brought it to school, she hated it. Don't get me wrong, she loves the pack itself and all its compartments. But it would not fit on the school bus (they have to put their packs on the floor in front of their feet), and would not even fit in her locker!!! She was so upset today about it, and said she is never going to use it again. The problem is the size stated in the description is 13 inches wide. But when you count the wheels, in reality it is more like 13.5, and this backpack can't be "squished" or stuffed into her locker like a regular backpack, due to the hard plastic underneath (where the wheels are). The only other thing I did not like about it, was that the inner lining was a little thin (much thinner than most backpacks out there), it was not the canvas-type fabric, but more like a thin nylon fabric that could easily tear with a couple months use and heavy books. I am so disappointed that my daughter is going to have to go back to carrying a regular backpack on her shoulders that weighs 17 lb. Someone really needs to make a backpack like this that is narrower (even by a couple inches!) for narrower school lockers!!! We will use this rolling pack for travel, so my daughter is at least happy about that. She will now have her own carry-on luggage when we go on vacation.PSI would also like to note that we ordered the matching lunch bag (which my daughter really liked), but it was not the exact same color blue as this backpack. Both were shipped from Wayfair.

I wanted a carrier for my Mac that was versatile, not bulky and inexpensive. I have all of this and more with this carrier. The zipper portion is covered so that it won't scratch the laptop. The neoprene material keeps it protected, without the bulk. It has an outside zippered side pocket that holds my adapters, mouse and airline adapter. It is roomy enough for everything, yet fits in my business case nicely. It even has handles and a shoulder strap for when I want to carry it seperately from my business case. I would highly recommend this item!
The only problem I have with it is the strong odor. It smells horrible! Very strong vinyl smell that took months to disipate. I actually left it outside for about 8 weeks before I could bring it in the house.

I bought this case for my new 13" Macbook. It's neoprene construction and soft interior are gentle for the exterior make of my laptop. It you are looking for a sleeve, or "lug around" to take your macbook to work or school I highly recommend this case. The strap is very comfortable and feel the extra cushioning on the shoulder make it a little easier to carry around. Of course this case isn't for those who do a lot of intensive traveling. It's more for people who just want light protection for the general places they go. I also really enjoyed the color as it is very vibrant and doesn't look like every other case out there. It's very modern looking too. As for the smell...it is a little strong at first. But, it wears off after a few uses. It doesn't smell at all that bad--just like a new product that needs to be broken in. I love this case.

I was skeptical about this laptop case as there weren't any reviews when I bought it, but I decided to take a chance, and now I'm glad I did.This case fits my 14 inch Vaio perfectly. The colors in the picture are accurate, and the giraffe design is very cute. I know this case will protect my laptop very well from scratches when I put it in my bag, but if I was taking a plane ride, I'd keep -my laptop as a carry-on. The padding on this laptop isn't that great I'm sure it'll protect the laptop from small falls but it's good for everyday use if you're just sticking your laptop in your bag and heading to class or work.
Also, the case was shipped to me very quickly! I expected to receive it on August 17 at the earliest, but I got it on the 14th, two days after I ordered it.
If you're looking for something that will protect your 14 inch laptop from scratches when you're on the move, this is a good choice. It doesn't have any extra pockets, so if you were hoping to hold any laptop accessories in this case, it won't work. But if you're looking for a waterproof case with a fun color and design that will fit your 14 inch perfectly, this is a great product.

Fits my HP Pavilion g4 laptop just fine. (Display size= 14) (Laptop size= 13.4" wide x 9.1" tall x 1.3" thick).The case fits loosely, but it's not loose enough to be annoying. Width-wise it is only a little bit loose; height-wise it has at least an inch of extra room.
The fabric is thick enough to offer some protection without being bulky. Because the fabric is stretchy (I would compare the material to water shoes) I think someone could probably stretch it over a laptop that's a little too big.
I haven't put any wear and tear on it yet but the stitching and zippers seem fine. The case has a rubber tire smell but it's not very strong or bothersome. The color of the fabric is greener and prettier than pictured.

Delivery was on time, however the laptop case was not as pretty as I imagined. So far, my 13.4" Acer had been able to snug comfortably to the case (I wouldn't say a perfect fit, but it was difficult to find the right size in the first place). Yet to test whether the case is water proof but the case feels pretty thick to be able to provide some protection for my laptop. I'd recommend this to someone who's looking for an economic with not too bad designs laptop case.

BUILT Laptop Backpack Medium
I was hesitant to buy this because of the mixed reviews, but I am happy with it overall. I wanted a laptop backpack that fit only a few select things that I need everyday. I tend to fill my bag up with misc things and it gets heavier and heavier. Then when I clean it out I wonder why I've been carrying all this junk around. I am 5'6" with a small frame and it fits me comfortably (it's a medium). At first I felt like the straps sat too far apart on my shoulders, but the sternum strap solved that problem it's very comfortable to wear and walk long distances with. I have a 17" MacBookPro which JUST fits if the bag wasn't stretchy it wouldn't zip. It's easy to zip now that it's broken in, but at first it was a little difficult. I can also fit a few folders and paper in with the laptop. I can fit the battery and power cord in the additional pocket with room to spare. The small pocket on the strap is too small to fit my phone or wallet so I've found that to be kind of useless. An iPod Nano would probably fit.
Also, I find the medium size quite long. I'm 5'5" medium heightbut when I put my laptop in and put on the backback, my laptop sort of hits the back of my hips, which is not what I expected. Maybe because it is made for men? If so, I wish they would make one specifically for women.
However, I love that it is so lightweight--I think it will really help take the load off my shoulders, and it has a pocket on the front for a phone. I will probably end up keeping it, although I might exchange it for black.

This backpack seems very sleek and small, but its not great for most big laptops. I have a 17" dv7t and well my laptop couldn't fit inside. They say this bags comes in three sizes. I've only encountered medium & large and would love to have found small. Mine is a medium in green. As a bonus it does better than black in the heat and not opting for the `orangey pink' one means my guy does not mind carrying it too. :)It has been my experience that a bigger bag means filling it with more stuff and it becoming an anchor. I have a bad back and this distributes the weight evenly and allows for normal posture. (With other bags, you wouldn't believe how much you end up leaning and adjusting to keep a strap on your shoulder.) I have been able to run with it and not have anything bounce around too badly. In bad weather (depending on the fit of what I am wearing ) it can and has fit under my coat. As learned on the return leg of a trip, in a pinch you can stuff more in. The look is not streamlined but it can work and with time the bag does go back to its usual shape.
With its small size, the bag forces you to make smarter choices about what goes in. Yes, there was a rethink period of time for deciding what I need to have with me but after working through that, I love it. I do have some handy tips that might help you enjoy your bag more.
I ended up using velcro ties to bundle each cable. I bought a large neoprene pencil case for $2 at a dollar store. (The large is the whole width at the bottom and ha a bonus of helping with structure/shape. My first attempt was a small one, which I found to be OK but inadequate for my needs. I use it inside the big one to hold the smaller items so that they do not get lost when opening the bigger case.) It helps keep the lines as smooth as possible too and keeps me from having to reach in the side putting my whole arm in to rummage for adaptors and cables. I take the whole thing out find what I want and put it back.
I am also glad I kept the plastic foam padding that came inside the thing when shipped to me. I found that having it inside helps keep the structure, yet it still is flexible. I wish something like this was incorporated into the design. In the meantime I want to rig it so that the thing stays in place but haven't quite figured it out yet. Still have yours? Try it!
I have sewn a few stitches to afix a metal ring up and into the side compartment. I use this to clip my house keys to with a carabiner. On long trips I know that I will not need them and it doesn't need to take up precious space in the small strap compartment. By getting into the habit of putting them there, I KNOW where they are without having to rummage.
I keep another carabiner clipped on the top loop, which can be a decent solution to being water bottle hands free. Sadly it does jostle around a bunch and I am looking for a better solution but in the meantime it works.
I do wish the straps were a bit adjustable and I get that with this design they aren't and wish for a more female body friendly design (narrower shoulders & allowing more space or adjustability for the straps in relation to chest/breasts). I would like to have tried a small as I think my small computer sits a little low on me. I still think that it would be possible with small adjustments to make it so the stabilizer strap was movable and this would make it a tad more vesatile and comfortable. Considering the alternatives in bags (and I've tried many) I'll stick with this one thanks.

Air Pack Ergonomic Backpack
We bought our first airpack for our son three years ago and the pack was great. The weight distribution really works wonders to keep much of the weight off of his shoulders. The pack held up well with the exception of the air bladder which broke twice. The pack is not much use without the bladder.Fast forward to the present. we bought two more of these packs in August 2008 based on our good experience with the first sample. The current models are horrible. The zippers broke within the first month. the materials have been replaced with cheap nylon that ripped from normal (not abusive usage) and the shoulder straps constantly slip and get longer requiring constant adjustment. Our first pack lasted over two years and these current packs have fallen apart after two months. Airpacks did replace the packs with the defective zippers but the replacements were no better. We have since dumped the packs and have moved onto Jansport packs which last forever but don't have the very innovative weight redistribution system that works wonders on the airpacks.
In summary, the airpacks concept is fantastic but they need to dump their current manufacturer and find a quality manufacturer with quality materials. Until they do, don't buy it. You will not be happy.

This back pack is amazing in it's ability to distribute the weight of a heavy pack. 30 pounds feels like 10 pounds as the weight is mostly transfered to the small of your back. It is hard to describe how well this pack works.I called the company to suggest that they make camera backpacks, which can be very heavy with equipment. My camera pack weighs 30 pound and it is a pain to carry on your shoulder for extended periods, This technology should be applied to all back packs.

My daughter is a very petite 7th grader with homework galore, lots of books to bring home, and is way too cool to be seen with a rolling backpack. The product is great...however the backpack arrived with a faulty air chamber. Getting a new one was a nighmare. The company I bought the pack from was very unprofessional in dealing with the problem. I finally got information on sending the bad chamber in for a replacement. I have not received my replacement yet. It might be worth the effort to include an extra chamber in the purchase of the backpack.

When I first got it, I noticed how small it was.But dont be fooled! It fits a BUTT load of stuff.
Just today I was able to fit a full 1.5inch binder, a small book, an iPad, a 15 inch laptop, rolled up yoga pants, large wedges, my chunky wallet, a pencil pouch, and a spiral notebook. And it doesnt hurt my back at all at that weight. The padding on the straps actually makes it very comfortable.
Im not giving it five stars because it took a week and a half to receive it.
Its not a long time for most people but when I usually pay that much shipping, I get it within a week of ordering it.
Nevertheless, this is a great backpack for a college student who carries a somewhat heavy load

NOTE: I purchased the 17" version of this case, but the only apparent differences are the size.My Dell XPS 17 is a bit of a behemoth and according to the specs, it shouldn't quite fit in the Shuttle 2.0, but it does. The only issue I've found is when you close the 17 Shuttle 2.0's lid over the XPS 17 it rubs just a little on the front of the laptop.
This is not a big deal as the 17 Shuttle 2.0's interior is nicely finished with soft fabric. Actually, pulling the case's top slightly towards you as you lower it over the laptop allows the case to close without even touching the laptop.
This 'rubbing' is certainly not a deal breaker and if I hadn't already known about the specs (according to the specs, the XPS 17 is 1/10" wider than the interior of the 17 Shuttle 2.0) it never would have occurred to me to think the case might be too small for the Dell XPS 17. In fact, if anything this creates a safer and snugger fit for my laptop.
Speaking of this case, it is an excellent case! It is well-built, extremely functional and looks great. I've noticed that while waiting for class with laptop in hand I get a lot of looks from classmates. I think the "portrait" orientation of the case, which is a little unusual, might be partially responsible for this, but it's also a very nice looking case! I opted for the Basic Black, a bit traditional but it's a very nice looking case. I have to admit the pink DID appeal to me and I am secure enough in my manhood to carry pink, but my daughter 'Pinky' would no doubt have nicked the case within a week.
The 17 Shuttle 2.0 has an excellent design and makes using a laptop on the go an easy and enjoyable experience.
When you're ready to work, it's a simple process: you set the case down, grab the two zippers and run them around to the back of the case, open the lid, and you're ready to go! The laptop never has to leave the case!
On the inside of the case are four orange, rubber pedestals that raise the laptop up so air can flow and heat can dissipate. They are 1/4 inch thick, look nicely high-tech (not that you'll ever see them) and have velcro on the bottom so they can be repositioned across the case.
I'm ambivalent about these feet: when I sit with my laptop on my lap, I can feel warmth on my legs (which feels pretty darned good on a cold day). On the other hand, I've never tested the case with the feet removed, so perhaps it is cooling my laptop and I just don't know it. At any rate, they can't hurt and you can always remove them if you want.
As stated earlier, the inside of the case is nicely finished. There is a band inside the case lid, approximately 1" wide, that feels like it might be aluminum, that runs around the inside of the perimeter of the lid. This is what protects the edges of your laptop when the lid is closed and it feels very sturdy and secure.
There is a nylon strap on either side of the case that keeps the lid from opening farther than 90 degrees. This is a very nice feature as it keeps the lid from opening too far and actually gives your screen a little privacy. They only problem I have with them is they block my USB ports on the sides of my laptop (at the back corners.) When plugging in my drive I have to pull the strap out of the way, no big deal.
On the outside of the case are two pouches. One is zippered and is large enough to carry my charging brick, with power cords, and a cordless mouse (I chose the Logitech G700.) To save on space and make things easier, I bought a retractable power cord that is really nice (Zip-Linq, $12 or so at Frys).
The other pouch is for 8.5 x 11 inch documents and secures with a mere 1.5" of velcro, enough to keep your full-size papers secure, but I don't think I'd carry anything small or valuable (like your paycheck.) It's perfect for syllabi, handouts and other crap that you wouldn't really fret about losing, although I think it unlikely that would happen anyway.
Finally, there is a very sturdy handle that has a thick rubber grip that you will really appreciate when you are standing in line for 20 minutes waiting for class, the subway, etc. The handle is black with a the orange Higher Ground logo on the side. It would look really snazzy if the whole thing was orange (Hint, hint.)
All in all this is an AWESOME case and I would give it 10 stars if I could. It's a very well-made product and I couldn't be happier.
Well, I could be happier and this is where I will make suggestions for the future:
1. Someone else mentioned adding brightly colored pulls to the zipper tabs on the case. This is an EXCELLENT idea as it would allow you to quickly see that your case is indeed zipped shut so you don't accidentally pick it up and dump $2,000 of laptop on the floor (*GASP*)!
2. A second (colored) pull on the accessory compartment would be VERY nice.
3. It would most excellent to have a slit on each side of the accessory compartment that would allow you to permanently feed your charging cord into the "cargo bay" so you wouldn't have to pull the cord out of the accessory compartment, around the edge of the case and to the back of your laptop.
It's kind of a PITA to do this and, let's face it, looks sloppy and this case deserves better!
I've been contemplating doing it myself and now that I've had the case for a few months I may give it a try.
Anyway, if you want a truly boffo case that looks awesome and does an even more-awesome job of transporting and protecting your laptop, GET THIS ONE!

Plenty of room. The pockets are designed for good organizations. I like that it has a space for 2 water bottles. And even though I thought the sunglasses pocket was lame, I find myself using it often.

im a small chick, so i figured this would be a great buy but it's smaller than i thought it was going to be (even knowing the measurements). I recommend this as a buy for a middle school child or younger, but it's not really big enough for someone in college. Bought this as a present for a teenage nephew he wanted a backpack to take on hikes/daytrips which this size is perfect for. The organising compartments are great too, letting him separate his stuff and there is waterbottle compartment on the outside.Want Dakine 20-Litre Factor Pack Discount?
i'm a bit of a backpack snob... i like compact bags in the 18L-22L range. and i have generally stayed with patagonia. but i finally ventured to dakine factor, given that the price is/was so low. first off, there's no comparison between the quality if the patagonia bags like the beeline or yerba and this dakine factor bag. the dakine zipper is so cheap, it's only a matter of time before it breaks. the materials are so much better on the patagonia bags. but i must says that i love this dakine bag. i have a young daughter, and like all parents, i'm required to be a diligent servant. so i love the two side pockets and the back pocket. they're wonderful for quick access. the patagonia yerba is comparable, but it is much more. the smaller of the two compartments has a nice array of small pockets for things like cards, pens, etc. the large compartment's laptop sleeve fits my 15-inch macbook pro. and i like the felt-lined top pocket for things like loose change, knife, and sunglasses.but really, deciding on this bag is all about whether you're wanting those quick-access pockets. i love them.
lastly, i like my backpacks to maintain their shape regardless of what's in them. it helps organization. this is a nice, stiff bag that sits up when you put it down.

I needed a backpack that was large and that could carry my macbook with a ton of padding. Well this wasn't it, the pictures are deceiving. First off the backpack is very very small, and the laptop pocket had no padding at all or let alone a trap to hold it down like most bags have. I felt like I wasted my cash on this...I bought this for a trip to Europe and didn't want a student looking pack. It arrived today and I must say, the quality is high and the appearance is very good. It has two main pockets, one lightly padded for a laptop and a second, larger one, for everything else. It has a smaller front pocket and two side pockets. It has a lot of room in both main pockets. Piel Leather Expandable Backpack - Black
This will be by fourth backpack of this design and I find it suits all my uses and needs. The pocket space is quite generous and I can carry numerous items for everyday use. The expandable portion is great for carrying notebooks or books. Highly recommended.
