Maxpedition M-2 Waistpack

Maxpedition M-2 WaistpackI received my Maxpedition M2 case a couple of weeks ago. I used the MOLLE ties and added it to the side of my Maxpedition Lunada bag after seeing that setup reviewed on You Tube.

Like most Maxpedition products, it's well made and very functional so there are no complaints in that area.

The (sort of) issue I have with the M2 is that the front pocket (with the snap down flap) is pretty deep. I've tried four cell phones in the front pocket (HTC Inspire, LG flip phone, Samsung bar phone, and Blackjack) and found that none are easy to retrieve. The larger phones don't leave much room on either side for fingers and the small phones are "way down in there" and the pocket is too small for me to reach down into easily. I've ended up leaving my HTC Inspire in the pocket for now; the HTC has a cover on it and I've learned how to get a hold of the relief area around the camera lens in order to extract it.

I'm not putting this out there as a "negative" since many will have a different need or experience but it's information that I didn't come across before I purchased my M2.

This a great sized man purse that I added to the strap on my fatboy bag. It had to go on sideways but works well there. It is meant to be put on your belt which is a good option if you want to down size.

Great sturdy waistpack. I'm using it for a belt survival pouch and it can hold just about all the essentials. Not as much room as the M-1 obviously, but still a good size.

I travel frequently and carry a camera backpack with a laptop sleeve. While the backpack has sufficient capacity in it's top pocket for all my miscellaneous items, it's just one large pocket. Consequently, it can be a bit of a pain to retrieve the phone's charging cable and ear-buds which I often use when I get to the gate or my seat on the plane.

This pouch is about as small as it could be while still meeting my primary requirement which is to provide a place to keep my Galaxy S3 including its slim protective case. If you check the dimensional specs on the S3 and the front pocket of this items, you might conclude the front pocket of this item is too small. However, I am happy to report that is not the case. The sides are elastic and the top is adjustable. Consequently it fits with just enough sticking out the top of the pocket so that it is easy to remove the phone.

The pouch attaches to my belt so cannot be removed without some effort but since its contents are critical I view that as a positive. Removing my belt to go through security takes no more time than without the pouch, plus I can use the pouch as temporary home for items I normally keep in my pockets but must relocate as I go through security. I'd almost purchased one of the larger models or a fanny pack but am very happy I decided to try this one first.

It is hard to imagine a higher quality product. The material is very heavy duty. I have used and abused mine and there is no fraying or sign or wear. The zipper is not one of those cheap ones, it is top grade. I have never had any performance problems with it.

It has a nice wide belt loop. It will easily attach to just about any belt or pack.

The pouch is on the small side, which is what I wanted. I use it to hold a small survival kit. It holds everything with no room to spare. It would hold a cell phone or small camera, but not much else.

Stephen Joseph Boys Airplane Duffle Bag

Stephen Joseph Boys Airplane Duffle Bag, Lime Green, One SizeWish it was a little bit bigger but we had the matching backpack an it was adoral to put my sons stuff in for travels. However, smaller than I would like but absolutely adorable. Good compromise

One wash has left it a bit wrinkled and the applique a bit snagged. Also not quite sure why it is labeled for boys.

Bought two of these for my grandsons for Christmas. The product is well made, very cute, and a good size. I highly recommend this product.

This duffle bag is the perfect size for my two-year-old little boy. The bag is large enough to hold all his things for a weekend away, while small enough for him to carry. The inside is lined which makes it easy to wipe clean if needed. Great duffle for the price too!

High Sierra 26" Wheeled Duffel with Backpack Straps

High Sierra 26' Wheeled Duffel with Backpack StrapsI was looking for a strong, durable and well built piece of luggage. I travel pretty often and most of the times I pick up my baggage broken at airports. Automated luggage transport systems have absolutely no respect for passengers belongings. And I was tired of that.

I once purchased a High Sierra Backpack and its a great bag. So I decided to buy the High Sierra 26" wheeled duffle this time, and I just don't regret. Even price is a little higher than many other brands, when you have it in your hands you'll be sure it's worth the investment. Enough space, useful compartments, really strong zippers and sturdy, although with a modern look. And yes, it survived 3 of the most baggage-dangerous airports: Orlando, Chicago and Mexico City (in round trips each).

I purchased this bag only to have the plastic handle used to pull the bag crack on the second day of my trip. Very disappointed and I would definitely not recommend. I purchased the bag because of the good reviews but I am regretting this now. It could be a fluke but I am going to simply try to return it and get a different bag.

I travelled back to the UK with my new bag, and faulty stitching down one corner has already resulted in a gaping hole. This is very shoddy workmanship, and I feel like I was ripped-off. Now we have the hassle of my partner taking the bag back to the USA before it can be returned for a refund.

I took this on a three week trip to SE Asia. I thought I wouldn't make it out of my home city! As others have stated, it does not stand up on it's own. I thought that wouldn't be a big deal, but it was pretty annoying. The other difficult part was that it was not stable while pulling it, even on even ground. I had to be very careful and had to keep righting it after it tipped over. Other than that, it did fit a lot of stuff, and I didn't have any problems with it ripping or anything like that. I locked myself out of it once and was able to break in by using a ballpoint pen to open the zipper, then put it back together. So it's not super secure, but I think the same is true for any bag with a zipper. I tried it on as a backpack just to see if that would work. I was able to put it on, but I wouldn't want to wear it like that for any length of time. There was one time on the trip when I had to carry it up four flights of stairs, but I ended up just carrying it awkwardly in front of me by the handle because I didn't feel like getting out the backpack straps. The price was much better than other bags I saw. I'd say if you need it for a single trip and don't want to spend a lot of money, this will work. If you plan to travel often, go for a more expensive bag.

Arc'teryx Mantis 26 Daypack - 1587cu in

ARCTERYX Mantis 26 Backpack Backpacks 0000 PeatThis is a really nice day, but the main compartment is a little smaller than we would like. Once we learned how to make the most out of all the pockets it was good. The back brace is nice as you don't have to worry how you are putting things in and it being uncomfortable. The straps are great. Again, great for a day but not going to fit much more. Maybe a weekend if you are wearing your only pair of shoes ;-)

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but this pack deserves to be 5*.

I purchased it from REI after comparing it in the store to about 10 other packs. I then took it on a 4 country trip over Christmas. Its best features include:

1) This is a VERY lightweight day pack, perfect for a traveler

2) Its best and most unique feature is how light it feels when completely packed. It sits very high on your back. You can sort of tell this from the picture if you look closely. So instead of pulling on the middle of your torso, it feels like the load is resting higher on my shoulders.

3) The "forehead" pocket (that pocket that zips open from the top) is very very handy when traveling coach. You don't have to pull the entire bag out or open from wherever you have it stowed.

Intangibles: there seems to be a cult thing around Arcteryx gear which I didn't know about (or care about) when I bought it. In Vienna we were in the Schonbrunn palace christmas market outside waiting for the tour bus back. An older Russian couple were being very quiet and not talking with anyone else. The Russian gentleman had on an Arcteryx jacket. I showed him my backpack and he became all animated and said things in Russian :-).

Anyway, GREAT pack with unique physics that makes your load feel lighter than it is.

Buy Arc'teryx Mantis 26 Daypack - 1587cu in Now

Unless I completely misunderstood, this pack is supposed to take up to 17" laptop. well, the sleeve isn't big enough, and due to the arc support, laptop can't be shoved in the sleeve at all. I've even tried with 13" laptop and no luck. As I searched the net, altrec website shows the model putting his laptop in the main compartment, NOT in the sleeve, so I must assume that most people just place laptop without any protection???

I was so looking forward this sleek looking inexpensive pack for daily commute, but I had to return it. I'm sticking with Axios 25 (discontinued) for now Axios is not beefy padded pack, but at least the sleeve does stretch enough to hold my laptop.

Mantis is the lowest end of Arc product line, and it sure is designed & made that way.

Sprayground Game Over Deluxe Mens Backpack - Multi

Sprayground Game Over Deluxe Mens Backpack - MultiI am giving this item only 3 stars, not based on the product itself, but because of the company i originally purchased it from. This is a very cool backpack. Plenty of compartments for you to stash things. Very well put together, I thought. One of the seams came apart a month after use by my son. Flymode, the company I bought it from said that it was out of warranty and that they were making an "exception" in sending me a new one for free. I would have to pay for the old backpack to be sent back. I ended up calling the manufacturer, Sprayground, and spoke with them about the issue. They are not only sending me a new backpack, but paying for the return shipping of the one that is coming apart. I am hoping that the seam that is coming apart is just a fluke....this is the coolest backpack i have ever seen! If it does hold up, i will be buying backpacks from this company in the future for my son as well.

This is my middle-schooler's backpack. It is so fun to look at and so cleverly designed (visually). It's also incredibly sturdy and might just be the first backpack he's ever had to last the year. The only problem is that it's just not roomy enough. These kids have to pack several sturdy binders and textbooks into their backpacks and there's just not enough room. I'd love it if Sprayground would make a bigger version!

Game Over, at school, less fun? (luckily that's not the case as far as I can tell) This is the first non Ben 10 backpack he has had for school.

Swiss Army Rolling Trevi 15.6 in. Expandable Wheeled Laptop Case.

Victorinox Architecture 3.0 Rolling Trevi 15.6' Expandable Wheeled Laptop Case 15.6 BlackI got this to replace my Swiss Gear wheeled laptop brief because it does not have a lot of room for my things for work. It does have a lot of pockets for organization, zipped folio dividers that you can collapse if you need to pack in a day's worth of clothes. I also love the expansion that gives you extra room if needed. My only complaint, which might not be the case with others is when I wheel it, the brief would catch on my stride more than a few times. I stand 5'10". To avoid it, I would have to wheel the bag a bit further from my stride.

This brief is not cheap, but the quality speaks for itself, and what really sold me from getting other high-end brands like Tumi is the lifetime guarantee. If you are careful with the product, it can last you for at least 10 years.

Overland Equipment Special Edition Donner Bag

Overland Equipment Special Edition Donner BagI own an earlier variation of this bag, which has seen a lot of use. This newer version, with its improved front pocket (gusseted, vs. the old "drop-down"), and attractive color combination of moss green & peacock blue w/ print interior, is very appealing. The exterior pockets at each end easily hold a 1/2 liter water bottle and compact umbrella. The interior pockets keep all the essentials organized and easily accessible; there's plenty of room for everything one needs for a busy day. The bonus shopping tote is a very handy addition.

So, why only four stars, instead of five? I've purchased several bags from Overland Equipment over the years, and I've always been very pleased with the high-quality materials and construction, not to mention the overall design and functionality of each bag. People ask me, "Where did you get that great purse/backpack ("crescent" bag)/tote?" So I'd let them know from which store or website the bag was purchased, and then proudly add that the bag was made RIGHT HERE, in the U.S.A. (my home state, in fact). That sure raised a few eyebrows. When this bag arrived, I checked it over carefully, liking what I saw, except the familiar tag was missing from inside the main pocket: "MADE IN CHICO, CA." Finally, after carefully looking in each pocket, I found a puny little tag tucked well inside the front flap's zipped mesh pocket: "MADE IN CHINA." Ugh, Overland Equipment took the outsourcing route!! Needless to say, while I expect to get many years of use from this bag, it's likely to be the last I'll purchase from Overland Equipment.

I needed a bag to replace my tried and trusty Longchamp le Pliage bag (it's started fraying at the corners) for my frequent day trips in Europe. I often travel several hours by bus and/or by train, and so a travel bag that will accomodate many necessities is absolutely essential. I deem my Kindle, iPod, camera, umbrella, water bottle, tissues, and small snacks as the bare minimum for most trips, and needed a bag that could accomodate all of these items plus of course my wallet and keys. So any decent bag has to be able to accomodate all of these and still be durable enough to survive the trip. After researching various bags, I decided on the Overland Equipment Donner Bag.

Pros: I love the two side compartments that are separate from the main compartment. My 24 oz CamelBak Bottle fits on one end, and my collapsible umbrella fits on the other, and the treat is that any condensation on the water bottle or rain on the umbrella is abosrbed into the pocket without getting everything in the bag wet. Also, the interior slip pocket is the perfect size for my Kindle (which I have in the Amazon leather cover with light). The main compartment is big enough to accomodate snacks, my camera and have space left over for any small souvenirs. The front outside section has a nice assortment of slots and pockets to accomodate tissues, lip balm, pens/pencils and other odds and ends. The bag of the bag has another slip pocket that is very convenient for stashing tickets so that they don't end up lost in the main area.

Cons: I wish the strap had a cushioned pad attached because the bag can get heavy if you fill it to capacity (especially with a water bottle and such), and I've found it starts to cut into my shoulders when I'm not wearing a jacket or sweatshirt. The front flap is only secured by velcro, so I'm hesistant to store anything of value in the front section, which is a shame because there is a lined pocket that would be ideal for storing my iPod but I don't want it in a pocket that isn't secured by a zipper. The front velcro closure was the feature that kept this from being a 5 star bag for me.

Bonus: With the special edition of the Donner Bag, you get a Everyday Shopper Bag included, which is a good deal since the regular edition doesn't come with this.

Buy Overland Equipment Special Edition Donner Bag Now

I bought this bag for an upcoming trip through France. I looked for a while for something that would hold up to some abuse, had enough pockets in the right places for things like maps, water bottles, sunglasses, camera, wallet, etc. but that was also reasonably stylish. This is the perfect answer! I got the orange & brown one and it's even cuter in person. My only criticism is the main zippered opening (on top) is smaller than I expected 9.5" is ample but I somehow expected it to be wider in proportion to the bag. Overall, I love this and can't wait to put it to use. (I expect this will become my everyday bag stateside, too.)

Update: (5/10/11)

I've since added the National Geographic NG A7300 Shoulder Pad to prevent the strap from digging into my shoulder when I really weight the bag down. It had the added benefit of protecting my shoulder from fabric burn when I swing the bag from front to back. Great addition and I now love this bag even more.

Update #2: (9/10/11)

This bag has become my all time favorite bag. The side pockets are so handy (water bottle, sunglasses, umbrella, etc.) and the interior is ample without making the bag too bulky. And the bonus shopping bag is cute, practical and always with me! After 6 months of hard use traveling and just on daily errands, the only thing that I am unhappy with is I caught the label (the decorative piece on the flap) on something and it ripped 1/2 way off. As soon as I can figure out how to fix it so it doesn't flap in the wind, I will as I still love this bag and I whole-heartedly recommend it.

Update #3 (7/5/13)

Still going strong. I've been on 2 more international trips with this bag including a rainforest plus I use it daily stateside. I also ran it through the wash a few times. (Cold water in a big delicates bag so the strap didn't get tangled.) It's going strong and looks great. (And I used fabric glue to glue the decorative flap down that popped up. Now you can't even tell it ripped.)

I'm a bag junkie and have been known to dream up a bag for certain uses but without any good sewing skills they remain that.. just a dream. Enter this bag. I received 3 diaper bags for gifts but found them too big and awkward for our daily running about town. Now that I have a toddler this bag is perfect and would be perfect for baby too. I wear it cross body and I can carry both of our drink cups, my wallet, keys (Love the strap to attache them to!), lipstick/balm Kindle, cell phone, gum, PLUS the large compartment in the top for my childs diapering (cloth or disposable) necessities, snacks, toys and reusable shopping bags and still have a bit of room left over. Awesome bag.

The outside side pockets will hold bottled waters easily. The front organization pockets are great for quick access to essentials like my cell phone & keys. I use this with the large Overland Equipment Wallet. If you are comparing this to the "Auburn", this purse is a little larger. I recently used the "Auburn" on a trip to Germany & France, it was good. I wish I had purchased this bag instead. This purse has a zipper top, Auburn is just a snap close. Both will fit a nice sized DSLR camera, wallet, cell etc... I really like both the Donner and Auburn bags, but I see me purchasing the Donner again, in the near future, in another color!

Deluxe School Backpack, YellowSo not only was the shipping ridiculously fast, like 2-days, totally surprised. The backpack itself is amazingly affordable and HUGE for its size. I used this bag for my Ness (Earthbound/Mother 2) cosplay, but found myself using it more than my messenger bag! It is that simple and efficient. To give you an idea it fits; two mics, 6 shirts, 2 shorts, 4 underwear, a sketchbook, laptop, 3 fuji apples, a bottle of water, and my pencil box. CRAZY.

Crumpler The Enthusiast Bag EST001-B00G50

Crumpler The Enthusiast Bag EST001-B00G50I have tried many camera bags, and the Enthusiast may be the best yet. It's not too large, so it's not for carrying a big kit around, but as a day bag, it's great. Shoulder strap is comfortable and switchable.

What's nicest about the bag, to me, is the division of space. Top half has a nice big compartment for anything. There's a well-padded pouch for an iPad or thin netbook, and then there's the compartment that has nice high sides so things aren't just going to fall out.

The bottom half of the bag is for cameras, and it suits me very well. Seems to be set up with a 1 DSLR/1-2 lenses/1 flash kit in mind, but I carry 2 rangefinders and two lenses, and it's perfect. Two dividers that run the width of the bag for three stacked sections, and a separator to vertically divide one section (the middle one by default). I haven't changed the default setup: top section holds a couple lenses snugly, middle section holds two rangefinders with lenses perfectly, and the bottom section, thinner than the others, acts as a really good empty padding space.

The only knock I have is no good way to carry a tripod, or attach a tripod case. The X straps on the back, maybe, I need to get a case to try and hook it to that.

This was a nice looking bag, but I didn't find it very practical. It's pretty big without offering advantages. I returned it, opting for something smaller with more functionality.

Kata KT DL-3N1-20 3-In-1 Sling Backpack (Black)

Kata KT DL-3N1-20 3-In-1 Sling BackpackKata KT DL-3N1-20 3-In-1 Sling Backpack (Black) I returned it was flimsy not well built and way to small for my liking

I purchased this bag hoping to carry a 7D, 100-400, 17-55, 100 macro, and a 430 flash. I figured this bag would be big enough. The bag is big enough to carry all this and a few small extras but only if configured a certain way. The 7D with the 100-400 will not fit when together so I always have to change lenses to put the camera back in the bag. I have to store the 100-400 in the top pocket then the camera with either the 100mm 0r 17-55 in the main pouch for everything to fit. The bag quality is excellent with the ability to sling it or backpack which is nice. The bag functions as described and deserves five stars. For me I guess I should have ordered the next bag size up.

Buy Kata KT DL-3N1-20 3-In-1 Sling Backpack (Black) Now

I'll be honest, I almost sent this bag back when I got it. I got frustated with the configuration of the dividers to fit my needs, and the zippers which don't always operate smoothly. It also felt so light weight that I was fooled into thinking it was cheaply made. But I gave it a chance, and it turned out to be VERY well made and fits my needs perfectly.

For those who don't know, KATA was founded by a couple Israeli special forces soldiers who were making their own combat gear. The company was later purchased by a huge photo equipment conglomerate, but that hasn't dumbed down the quality as far as I can tell. The materials are top notch, and they look and feel tough. Those fussy zippers appear to be designed to keep sprinkles and dust from entering the bag. (Zippers are working better after a bit of "break-in".) Of course, steady rain would call for using the included weather shield, which covers all but the straps. The padding is somewhat thin, but dense enough to protect expensive lenses, as long as you don't throw it around like an airline baggage handler.

I sat myself down on the floor for about an hour and played with the velcro-attaching dividers and my gear. I have 2 small primes and two larger Canon L zooms. My goal was to be able to access all my lenses from the side zipper when the bag was slung horizontal in front of me. I finally made it work by turning a small divider sideways between the two primes. The original divider setup seems to assume that you'll pull your camera from the side and other articals from the front, but this is not practical or safe (easy to spill or drop gear). I also set it up so that once the DSLR is out, two divider "doors" on either side of the attached lens corridor open to reveal the other lenses. This works very well for changing lenses without setting anything down, which was a major requirement for me.

I also learned to place frequently used filters in the upper side pocket facing me when the bag is slung horizontal. I do have to take the bag off to access the top compartment, opposite side pocket, and opposite side of main compartment, but the need to do this is not frequent. I just make sure to store things in these spots that I don't need often.

The bag is comfortable to wear as a single-strap sling, but I have added enough weight in gear that I use the backback configuration with two straps for a long hike. Of course, access to the bag without setting it down is much trickier in backpack mode. I have a monster of aluminum and steel Bogen tripod and probably wouldn't use the optional tripod attachment because it would add too much weight, unless I got a lighter carbon fiber model (when I get rich).

A LowePro Orion waistpack was my previous bag. It was very high quality and heavily padded and I used it for over 15 years. I could access ALL my gear by sliding it around to my front, but I was outgrowing it (no room for new gear). I have to say being able to carry on my back and still have quick access works much better than having my bag bouncing on my buns or the tops of my thighs as I move. I had to hold the LowePro steady if I wanted to run, but cinching the strap(s) down on the KATA (which adjust quickly and easily) allows me to run with my hands free (and nothing bumping my butt or upper legs).

I've had the KATA for just over a month and have taken it on multiple outings without any issues. I don't expect to have any after closely examining the stiching. I would recommend the KATA 3n1 line if you need a medium sized bag that you can carry securely while on the move and still have quick access. My very first camera bag was a shoulder bag, and when it swung out, threw me off balance, and pulled me into a creek when I was hopping rocks... Well I found a better solution. $99 is a lot of money for a hunk of straps, padding, and pockets, but I carry over $3,000 worth of gear in it. So paying a little more for something well made is worth it, even in my stingy, economical brain.

15 15.6 inch White Swirl Design Laptop Sleeve Bag Carrying Case with Hidden Handle & Adjustable Sho

15 15.6 inch White Swirl Design Laptop Sleeve Bag Carrying Case with Hidden Handle & Adjustable Shoulder Strap for 14' 15' 15.6' Apple Macbook, Acer, Asus, Dell, Hp, Sony, Toshiba, and MoreI love this case it is very pretty and is made of lightweight neoprene material. The only things I would change is that you cannot zip it completely closed with the handles out and maybe extra storage for your charger. Other than that it was still a good buy.

Better than expected. Even had enough room in the bag to fit my charger. Stretchy/ flexible material works out great. Received just as described.

I am pleased with this sleeve. I bought this for my 15.6" Dell Inspiron, and it is a good snug fit. If your laptop is any bigger than a 15.6"...do not buy this sleeve. It will not fit. It is a nice carrying case but not sturdy enough to protect against drops. I bought this sleeve along with an actual carrying case with tons of space and this fits right into it. No problem. Just a little extra protection. Also, the handles are stitched on the inside, so when the handles are out, you cannot zip it closed. That's kind of annoying, but I don't use this sleeve as a carrying case...it goes inside my carrying case so the laptop doesn't get all scratched up and dirty.

I was expecting the case to be more substantial. The overall design and look is great, but the thickness of the the case could be improved upon.

I was very pleased with the laptop sleeve bag. The neoprene material is excellent protection for the laptop and has stylish detail on both sides of the bag. The zips are durable & so is the strap.

This bag is light to carry, yet protective, stylish & friendly on the budget too.

Osprey Stratos 26 Backpack

Osprey Stratos 26 Backpack, Shale Black, LargeAmazing pack. Good storage options internal and external. This provides great flexibility to wherever you may wander. Pack is extremely stable once you tighten up straps. Has many bells and whistles I didn't even know about. A whistle built in to the chest harness buckle/clip. Walking stick, or trek pole holder on lower left, then another holder to left and lower so you can keep your gear out of your own way when not needed. Great pack for hydration needs. I used an older other brand hydration bladder, and had ice cold water for myself and others all day. The mesh back really keeps you cooler since there is good air-flow/space between yourself and the pack. Very light pack. Superb materials. Very thoughtfully designed pack. I now have two Osprey packs, and plan to get more to replace briefcases, gym bags, camera bags, etc. Go ahead and be adventurous.

I never write customer reviews, but this is the exception. I recently returned from a 6-day bicycle trip to Tuscany (rode from Florence to Siena; stopping along the way in Castellina, Radda and Greve in Chianti and San Gimignano) and since I didn't want to hire a firm to move my baggage, I looked for a suitable backpack. After exploring disappointing options from Ortlieb and a few others, I came across the Osprey Stratos 26 Backpack. By far, this is the *best* purchase I've made in recent memory! It was absolutely perfect for my bicycle trip. I was on a roadbike and after the first day, I never felt that I was wearing this pack. It molded perfectly to my back and it easily held 4 days of light clothing and a pair of shoes. Even tacking the numerous 10km climbs in Tuscany, the pack would remain snug on my back, never shifting and there wasn't anything "sticking" out into the wind. Moreover, on the last day of the ride, it rained in biblical proportions and with the integrated raincover, everything inside the pack was dry including my iPad. If you're looking for an excellent pack (good for bicycling and hiking), this is the one you want to buy; seriously.

I have a bigger osprey for hiking and purchased this one for day walks. If they had of included some straps for a sleeping mat it would have been great for over nighters.

Fits good and does allow your back to stay dry with the space between the pack and frame.

Just another good quality product from osprey.

What can I say, you can't go wrong with an "Osprey"! Excellent quality, light well made pack perfect for those spontaneous day hikes in the mountains or to the beach! Great size with enough room to carry extra layers as well as a picnic! All that and it looks cool too! You won't be disappointed, this is my favorite pack yet!

I didn't notice half the features it had til I brought it home and gave it a good looking over. Excellent design. It has so many convenient features, as mentioned in a previous review. It feels like it was designed by people who actually hike and know what you would need in pack. Love it. Highly recommend.

Icon Squad II Backpack - HI-VIZ Yellow - 3517-0195

Icon Squad II Backpack - HI-VIZ Yellow - 3517-0195I purchased this backpack because of the requirements for riding on military installations and carries a lot of stuff. I am pretty satisfied except after about two months of use as a daily rider the reflective material on the chest straps started to tear and separate from the strap. I am hoping the wife will be able to repair and reinforce this part of the pack. Overall, I like the various compartments, carrying capacity, and reflective material. So far the cons for this backpack are the high price and the issue with the straps.

Great idea, good quality, and flexible options for setup. I bought this for the daily commute on a motorcycle to and from work on a military base where requirements for Hi-Viz and reflective strips after dark limit the options. I hit the gym before work and pack clothing and toiletries only. I quickly became aware that the capacity was lacking despite the overall size. With just the basics, I had a hard time getting a pair of shoes in. I was able to get a little more capacity by removing the semi-rigid panel inside, but everything was just too tight. The helmet holder in the bottom is good for storage when not moving, but that's about it. The price was as high as my hopes were, but it just did not suit my needs. For those with similar concerns, a better option was a Hi-Viz vest and a reflective cover for a standard day pack.

I bought this bag eight months ago, and it was awesome for about four months. Then the reflective material started ripping from the chest. At eight months, the chest straps have ripped off, the reflective material is in shreds, the foam padding under the orange material has fallen out, and the straps are detaching from the bag. Buy this product only if you are willing to buy a new one every six months.

After only four month's the seams started to rip. Quality is an Issue. The backpack also does not have adjustment to raise it on your back; therefore it always hangs low.

Great bag. It really adds to my visibility while riding, and is incredibly sturdy. It also holds a lot. Wish the price tag were a little smaller, but if I get what I paid for, then I should be using this bag for years to come...I highly recommend it.

Herschel Supply Co. Classic

Herschel Supply Co. New Classic Backpack - Cobalt BlueAfter just a couple months of use, this backpack is already literally coming apart at the seams and I don't carry a bunch of heavy books, usually just my 10-inch computer, one book, a little folder, and a pocket sized notebook.

This bag totally meets my expectations...

I initially wanted a slightly smaller pack... something I could just throw a hoodie in, and a water, and other little essentials like my phone and chapstick... I'm not a purse kind of a girl, so I wanted a small backpack.

This is a little bigger than I wanted... but... as it turns out, that little bit biggerness is perfect!

I love this bag :-)

Good size, stylish backpack that makes me feel less like a grade schooler when I use it. Much more comfortable than a messenger bag.

Wildkin Mermaids Sidekick Backpack

Wildkin Olive Kids Mermaids Sidekick BackpackThis backpack is made well and constructed of durable material. It's so cute and the perfect size for my little preschooler!

I like the backpack. My daughter picked it out, along with the matching lunchbox, for her kindergarten school year coming up. It's very adorable and the set looks so good together. My ONLY complaint is it's a little flimsy for what you wind up paying for it! I will do for kindergarten supplies and books, but if it had to handle anything heavier than 10 pounds I don't think it would last very long. I wish they has used better material for the price. Same goes for the lunchbox. But since it's for kindergarten I don't think it will make much difference so I'm satisfied.
