I like that while I found this as a ski boot bag, it will not only function as a boot bag but can be used for other sports as well unlike some more specific boot bags. This bag is perfect for my ski gear. Fits boots, jacket, pants and helmet with the outside pocket perfect for goggles and gloves.

This is a good bag, with space on the bottom 1/3 for boots, and a good space above for helmet, pants, etc. However note that the airlines are pretty strict that a Boot bag must be specifically that, not just a bag that also holds boots. They say that the bag cannot hole anything but boots; like the High Sierra Trapezoidal Boot Bag.Thus to get safely past airline baggage without paying extra, I had to keep the whole top half empty, and re-strap the bag not ideal. If you are willing to hope the counter check-in is not strict, then go for this, and pack it full!

This is a very roomy and well made bag. The compartment underneath holds boots, shoes, pretty much anything you want. The top section holds a LOT of clothing and equipment. Can be used for many different things besides snowboarding. Love it!STM Bags Nomad Medium Laptop Messenger
The inside lined pocket is perfect for my kindle or my IPad, both fit just fine.
The best feature of this bag is the zipper on the top. It allows access to the whole bag without lifting the flap.
Also, when I ordered the bag I assumed the clips were plastic and I was very happy to see that they are metal.
All in all this is a very usable and sturdy bag.I ordered the teal and the picture shows a backpack style. It was the messenger back that I received. It's nice and large and I really do like the bag itself because I can fit my 17" laptop inside it. , just not what I was expecting.

I got this bag within two days, as I was a prime member, later I ordered two more of these for my friends,Excellent bag, with everything as described at the official website, the only thing I didn't liked about this bag is, it's difficult to remove the laptop from the rear zipper,
And sometimes when the bag is full, the bag keeps bouncing against the body due to the walking movement,
rest everything is good, the build quality, colour(it's much better then in the given pictures), the included laptop sleeve is very good and offers better protection compared to other sleeves,

I tote a laptop, notebook, and 2 tablets to work DAILY. This pack does the trick. I havent had a single issue with it. I will say that it is a tight fit for a 15 inch laptop but is possible. Even with the bigger more square looking 15 inch laptops. Pockets for all your stuff, you will have plenty of room and no issues with the backpack coming apart.Read Best Reviews of Oakley Men's Icon Pack Here
I Love the backpack, it has tons of pockets, it is lightweight, and stylish. Love the side zipper for easy access to a laptop.Want Oakley Men's Icon Pack Discount?
I decided to buy the Icon pack because I needed a big backpack to take me from work to gym easily and girl backpacks are just plain ridiculous. They're not meant to hold up anything substantial. So I went looking for men's backpacks. This pack is now a staple for me. It fits my 14.1 inch laptop snugly (and I mean snug). I'm not so sure how a 15 inch laptop could fit in the compartment. It takes abit of tugging to get my laptop out of the side compartment. The pockets are convenient and roomy, absolutely perfect for hauling all my gym gear, including my sneakers.
What struck me about this bag is how light my laptop + gym gear feels on my shoulders and back. The frame of the backpack distributes the weight so evenly, it's a breeze to carry my stuff. When it's just my laptop and I don't have any gym gear in the bag, I hardly notice that I'm carrying anything. I like the padded shoulder straps and back which are so wide, and of course, the colours are great.
One thing worries me though: how thin the fabric seems to be. I'd think you'd expect to get thicker, maybe sturdier fabric around the sides and bottom of the backpack when it's an Oakley, but that doesn't seem to be the case. When I received the bag, I was a little surprised that the fabric is this thin around the sides. Having read the other reviews, it does seem that if i continue abusing my backpack, it'll rip.
I'd probably recommend you not to get the pack unless you don't carry such heavy stuff everyday it looks too flimsy if you're thinking of carrying thick textbooks and a laptop with battery and charger everyday. I carry my gym gear on alternate days, so it's holding up good at the moment.

OGIO Duke Bag

This was purchased for an employee and I liked it so much I got one for myself (different version containing an extra pocket purpose built as a notebook computer sleeve). This is good because it is well-made and handy to use; because the zippers work well and appear to be stout enough to last for quite some time; because the padded body is rigid enough to almost stand up on its own, in other words it doesn't slump down into itself into a puddle of flimsy nylon when left on its own; because it is actually comfortably carried by its handle or worn about the shoulders by its shoulder straps.
This Oglio product is the best-made, handiest, hardiest, most comfortable nylon tote-back pack I've ever seen. I recommend buying one because you will eventually find a use for it.
Sandpiper of California Bugout Backpack
Overall for size, price and versatility it can't be beat. But if your looking for something more durable, or stronger look maybe to the ACU version or for a different pack all together.I was issued this bag for a recent deployment. Day one of being on the ground, the shoulder strap's stitching came completely unraveled. At the time, I had a uniform and a pair of boots in the bag. Nothing else. I had to make due by knotting the strap so I could use the backpack. It's sad that my knot was actually stronger than the factory stitching for a bag that's supposed to be used in the field carrying MUCH HEAVIER items than a uniform and a pair of boots.
I emailed SOC customer service a month ago and have yet to receive anything back from them in response...not even an automated email saying they've received my inquiry and will get back to me.
Shoddy product and sub-par customer service. They should be ashamed of themselves for putting this crap into the hands of troops deploying.

Versatile bag for weekend trips and/or as a bug-out bag, etc...I have used it for a number of different purposes and find it to be a good all-around pack. Shopping around can save you money on this pack!
Pros:
Strong zippers with quiet zipper pulls.
Rugged 600 denier (inside-coated) cordura.
Clothing straps inside main compartment for use as a clothing bag.
Duffel handle on top and side/ optional shoulder strap attachment plastic D-rings.
(2) front zippered compartments with multiple organizational pouches inside.
Chest straps
compression straps on side.
Extension zipper for an additional 4" more space for main compartment if needed.
Waist Belt with optional hideaway pouch.
Shoulder straps can be tucked away and zippered shut if using as duffel
Reasonably priced
comfortable with light loads
removable inside metal stays
Cons:
Shoulder adjustment straps would be nice.
Probably not mil. spec.
minimal padding on waist belt (for light loads this is a plus, as it tucks away and keeps it less bulky)

This review is for the BLACK version of the bag...I've had two of these bags and, on each one, the nylon has failed right where the top strap is sewn onto the bag. I just noticed the failure in the second bag about a week ago and was hoping that it would last just a couple of more months. But it has progressed to the point where I think I will need to replace it soon. I think that the most I have in the bag is 15 pounds, but apparently that is too much for it.
Now, this bag does hold quite a bit of stuff, so if you can get one that doesn't tear, you should be all set.
I don't know if the construction standards are different between the black and other versions, but I will not be purchasing one of these bags again.

I bought this backpack as a bugout bag. Coincidentally, it arrived just before I went on a Venturing (Boy Scouts) backpacking campout so I used my new backpack. This bag was able to hold everything with ease and was even comfortable on my back. All of this gear fit in the bag (with exception of the air mat, which I strapped to the outside): 0 degree bag, backpacking tent, self inflating air mat, 4 freeze dried meals and a backpacker's coffee brewer pouch, 4 cup stainless pot for cooking in, 1 backpack stove and 1 can of fuel, camping pillow, 1 set rain gear, 1 field jacket liner (I wear under the rain gear to keep me plenty warm), 1 book, 2 Pr socks, First aid kit, Katadyn mini, 100 Ft paracord, 1 bottle bug spray, 1 bottle sub screen, 3 ltr water bladder, backpacker's towel, filled the very front pocket with accessories like lighter, multi tool, water purify pills, knife sharpener, car keys, cell phone, etc.The only thing I'm not really crazy about was the placement of the water bladder pouch under the shoulder straps. I thought for sure it would cause my bladder to pop being pressed between the weight of the pack and my back, but nope it even did that well. There is absolutely nothing flimsy about this pack. I love it!

Despite the fact that I thought this product would be a cool grey color, it was black. I really don't have a problem with black, and, thankfully, neither does my husband. (It was a gift for him.) I just expected grey. Other than that, this is a great bag. There's tons of room for my husband to put in all of his work gear and laptop. It's a very sturdy bag. There are two pockets on the outside of the bag. They're the small ones on the sides. There's one small zippered pocket and one huge compartment on the inside. My husband was thrilled with it.Read Best Reviews of OLIVE CLASSIC MESSENGER BAG Heavyweight Canvas School Laptop Here
I was hoping to get this bag in a dark gray, or black. Turned out they sent me the olive drab one. It appears the color you get may be random. Despite that, it is a nice, sturdy bag. I wouldn't call it a "laptop" bag because there seems to be no special accommodation for a laptop. It's simply just a bag that is big enough to hold a laptop. I have a 14 inch Asus Laptop I put in it. It's a bit loose in there, but it works well enough. I just have to be a little careful when I put it down because there is no padding or anything. The velcro that "holds" the main flap on is a joke. It does nothing. But it's not a huge deal, because a loose flap works well enough. Despite the drawbacks, this is a good looking bag that is cheap. I like it quite a bit.Want OLIVE CLASSIC MESSENGER BAG Heavyweight Canvas School Laptop Discount?
Ordered this bag back in 2009 for my university days. Needed to carry around texts, notes, pens/pencils, and my Sony Vaio Z790 in a memory foam sleeve. Even after 3 years I still have my bag and it holds my new notebook (Alienware m14x) along with my headset and mouse for LAN parties. It's very roomy and durable. Only after 3 years has some edges started to fray, but only after hard wear and tear. The side pockets are a perfect fit for a thermos or water bottle as well. One thing I do want to make people aware is if you have an excessive amount of weight in the bag (college texts & laptop), then the adjustible strap will slide down and bring the bag lower.
Other than that, I have been very satisfied with the purchase.
Velo Transit Men's The Edge 40 Waterproof Messenger Bicycle Backpack
Found 20 tennis ball's on side of road (Brand New one's from how they looked) that took very little space up at bottom of the Velo Backpack, "Very nice".
The big strap at bottom is very nice I like and the middle one work's well, "Definitely a lot of adjustment straps on this page that also like a lot". Finally I found a perfect pack for my year round cycling. I am a serious cyclist that cycling is my Main transportation seeing I am on Social Security and am unable to work do to medical condition's so having a vehicle is just a waste of money. This is no ordinary backpack if you are a serious rider like myself.
Riding in the rain everything stayed dry besides my feet and hands since that gear isn't 100% water proof. My first pack was an Ortlieb. I was happy with it for two years, except for the fact that there was one large compartment, and things like my phone, keys, and wallet were not easily accessible.
Then the velcro closure gave out on the Ortleib so I started looking around for something new.
I came across the VT site and was interested in their products. I was a little hesitant about the price at first. Then I noticed "Made in USA" wow! is anything actually manufactured in the US anymore...well, their products are. I looked a little further and noticed they are made in Seattle just south of downtown where I work.
One day during lunch I took a trip to their store. They have a small retail area, and shelves with finished bags ready to ship, but most of the shop is set up for cutting and sewing.
That's about as made in the USA as it gets.
I tried out a few bags, and decided on the Edge 40. I went back to work and used my Amazon gift cards to purchase. Money well spent!!!
I have been using the bag for about 8 months now. I use it on my daily commute, and a few weeks ago was the wettest day of the year in Seattle. Cars were sending waves of water over me as they drove past through the lakes of water that had backed up onto the road. I arrived soaked to the bone, but everything inside my bag was perfectly dry.
The bag fits the curvature of your back. Even when I pack it full (or overpack it sometimes) it is comfortable to wear. Another huge plus is the over-shoulder visibility. The top corners fold down when you close the bag, making it easier to glance behind as you are riding.
There is nothing I would change about the bag. I love it. It's simply the best in my opinion.
Next I'll be adding some accessories...laptop pouch, bottle holder, mesh bag.

This is a great backpack for biking. It works very well if you are a student because of the perfect weight distribution while carrying it. Though the bag may be heavy with items inside it, I was really impressed at how easy it was on my back while carrying it. I have ridden around with it, carrying groceries, a laptop, and my lock, and everything was in tact.I would recommend getting the pouch along with this. This is a great product and Velo Transit has my thanks for producing a very good product!

I've been commuting to work by bike for going on 8-9 years now. I consider myself a year round rider, riding the minimum 10 miles (one way) trip through rural farms lands rain or shine, dead of winter and dark of night. I ride a variety of bikes, generally touring or mountain, one in awhile a track or road. The years and belly prevent me from getting into a serious tuck position, then again I'm not that anxious to race to work. Generally a meandering 12-15 mph in a "riding the hoods" position.I've employed and evolved through multiple methods of transporting my stuff, which is generally a pair of khakis, a t-shirt, golf or button down shirt, socks and underwear. A small lunch, couple cans of soda. Some basic tools for tire changes and roadside issues. Over the years I've used messenger bags, sling packs, day bags, bags sold specfic to the cycling commuters, bags I though would work better or feel more comfortable. Recently I've been quite happy with a simple dry-sack pack I picked up at Wal-Mart, obstensibly for use during inclement weather, although I found the straps a bit on thin side.
I see the Velo Transit as an evolution of that WalMart dry-sack concept, a drysack now married to a much more ergonomic backplane and robust, well constructed shoulder straps. I've been using the pack daily now for over a month and find it almost flawless. The great, carnivourous main pocket swallows up all my stuff, I've yet to actually fill it. The vinyl interior takes a bit of getting use to when packing and unpacking, stuff doesn't slide as expected. ON the other hand, stuff doesn't seems to shift around as much either. Don't mistake this bag as something you'd use like an ordinary backpack, you don't want to be diving in and out of it all the time. Its made for getting stuff from Point A to Point B. You can't really root around inside of it trying to grab that item out of the bottom and the roll top closure, which works really well from the aspect of prevent rain intrusion isn't something you want to be opening and closing all the time.
That roll top closure works really nice from the standpoint of compressing the top of the bag down, so that with a moderate size load you have great visibility over your back. If you need to occasional space, its available, you just trade off some visibility for it.
A couple of well thought out pockets on the exterior allow you segregate items you might need quick access to: keys, wallet, ID, tools. Another pocket, sandwiched between the main body and aforementioned easy access pockets provides a place to carry file folders, notepads a tablet or small laptop.
The shoulder and waist straps are generously sized and well constructed, as is the entire pack. Plenty of adjustment in how the straps carry the pack. Tucked up at the top of the outside face is a hide away rain-shield which can shield the outer pockets is necessary. It's bright yellow color allows it to act as a visual safety aide if one so desires.
It took a couple of iterations to get the fit and feel right but I'm quite pleased with this bag and don't foresee replacing it any time soon.

Also, to those who read the fellow who could not get his 17" laptop into the bag, you need to pull out the intermediate compartment separator bar in the bag and get rid of it so that the computer sits long ways, not sideways. That compartment serves no purpose for a big computer. The power cube goes in the small mesh bag that is included with the main bag. Great buy. Great product.

I've been looking for a laptop case for my new 18.5 inch screen HP HDX-18 laptop and the Targus CPT401DUS is a perfect match. There are no laptop case for laptops that are over 18 inch screen size. The nice looking CPT401DUS case is well designed and constructed with quality material. The Dome protection feature gives me added comfort knowing my laptop will have more protection from those accidental drop the case situations. The handle and shoulder straps are sturdy yet comfortable. All the storage pockets are well laid out and there are plenty of them so I can easily organize my travel items. Although the Targus CPT401 was meant for 17 inch size laptops, my HP HDX-18 fits perfectly in the case. The power supply for the HDX-18 laptop has to be stored in the front pocket but it fits perfectly, still leaving room for other important travel items. Overall, the Targus CPT401DUS is an excellent choice for a laptop case and Amzon's price is just unbeatable.Read Best Reviews of Targus Blacktop Deluxe 17" Laptop Case w/ Dome Protection Here
I've had this case since February 2009 and haven't looked back. This protects my 16.4 inch Sony laptop with rooms to spare (has safety restraints to hold the slim notebook in place). It's storage capacity is greatly appreciated as I can carry a book, my phone, laptop, chargers (for both phone & laptop), headphones and more in the notebook while traveling, without compromising the profile of the case. The case has been very durable and is well made. It's not flashy by any means, but I've been asked on more than one occasion by other business travelers what type of case it is.
In short I'd say its the perfect case for someone wanting to combine funcationality, style and comfort all in one package.

OK, yes, it's roomy, and has no problem fitting a 17" laptop with the power brick and a mouse in the main compartment. There are plenty of pockets and pouches for accessories and cables, and it seems to be well built...except for the "dome". It comes loose and floats around between two layers of the case material. Don't even hesitate. If you are looking for a bag for the gym, this is the one to buy =)
Very satisfied.I love the drawstring bags idea! This one is amazing! A little on the large size for my 6 year old, ( I have seen others that are smaller, so check dementions)but we both use it for trips to the park, the zoo, bike rides, picnics, just about everything. I really like the thickness of the rope cords on this one, very sturdy feeling to it, not thin and flimsy. The zipper pocket in front is a must for keys, wallet and cell phone, and what really sold me on this bag over the others was a very simple concept , but missed by most other bags... THE MESH SIDE POCKETS! PERFECT for just about any type of sport drink bottle/water bottle ( around 24 oz or a little larger, not the big gateraide bottles , of course) and it fits well and tight. Inside space is great and holds more than you think. We are very happy with this bag. Thanks Adidas!I searched for a simple bag for my son to use for sports and going to the pool and decided on this bag. It feels very sturdy and doesn't feel like it's going to rip if you put something a little heavy in it. Has a lot of space, a front zippered area that has a little padding for keys, wallet, or cell phone and the outer mesh areas for 2 water bottles. Ended up purchasing 2 more for my other kids in different colors & am very happy with my purchases.
