This is a good quality bag that I expect to withstand a beating through a few seasons. My only disappointment is that the zippered expanding pouch for the ball is thin mesh fabric that might rip easily, however all bags of this type use the same mesh fabric that I have seen. I guess I should revisit this post after a year to decrease the rating if it rips and increase if it does not.

I researched fishing backpacks from many manufacturers, the big fly fishing names and the common outdoors companies. I can tell you after 6 months of hard use, this is a must have fly fishing accessory. In fact, after using it for only one month, I went back to Amazon and ordered a second one for my teenage son. We hike into a couple rivers and lakes at home in CO. My reason for original purchase was I scheduled to worked on a project in CA for 8 months and my company expensed me an out of state fishing license for the duration. I need a pack that I planned to use a lot. I fished every weekend and two to three evenings a week. This pack was always with me. It has ample room for all your needs. I carried my waders in the lower compartment, boots above (switch it to hold my tennis shoes when I was hiking upstream in my waders), two fly rods, one on each side, top compartment (in hood)with license, head light, hat, gloves, camera, and cell phone. The large top compartment keeps lunch, water, extra reels/spools, first aid kit, and when hiking in/out, my Orvis Sling Pack, fishing tools lanyard, and spare socks. I can honestly say that I put at least 80 miles on this pack this year and it still looks like the day it was new. I have had no mal functions, broken straps or split seams. The shoulder and waist straps offer full adjustment and it is quite comfortable to wear, even when actually fishing. What I also like is that the inner compartments are kept dry from the separate boot and wader compartments. When I get home, I just take out the waders and boots, and then next trip update my lunch and water and I am good to go. Gear stayed in it most of the time except for the occasional cleaning sessions of line, reels, rods, etc. I did find this at Bass Pro Shops and looked at it in person before coming to Amazon and ordering it (for $30 less!!!!!!). The ballistic nylon is very durable and lightweight and all stress points are reinforced. I can tell you, it has been a long time since I have found a product I feel so strongly about. Get one. You will not be disappointed.
Pros:
-Bag is solidly constructed. The seams were well-stiched, and all components, buckles, and straps were high quality.
-High visibility liner worked as advertised. It did make finding components in the upper pack easier.
-Dual rod tube storage. I liked the storage mechanism and straps for the rod tubes. I'm confident that these will hold up to years of repeated abuse on hike-ins.
Cons:
-Bag is smaller than I thought it would be. The wader compartment barely fit my stocking foot waders (Size L, Boot Size 11). I actually had to stuff them in the wader compartment rather than being able to fold them properly. Boot foot waders will NOT fit. Likewise, if you wear an XL or tall wader, you're probably out of luck as well. The changing mat takes up valuable space and is quite heavy duty and thus, heavy.
-Shoe storage. At first glimpse, the shoe storage on the outside seems like a clever idea. However, the shoes are more or less "pushed" into the storage area by the elastic straps. Hence, storage capcity is reduced in the main compartment. I was able to stuff the main compartment full, but this resulted in shoes sticking out a full foot behind me, catching nearly every branch and sapling in the forest.
-Straps. While high quality, there are a ton of straps and buckles. Perhaps mine is defective, but I counted an uneven number of male and female buckles. Even if there were a full compliment of buckles, I still wouldn't be able to tell you where each goes. To say the buckle system is confusing is an understatement. However, this is not a true con--just an annoyance.
-Belt and carriage. I did not like the way the pack sat on my back/hips/waist. It tended to ride higher on the back than I would have preferred. The belt padding was shorter than I like--too much web belt, not enough padded belt. Additionally, the shoulder straps seemed like they were designed for a taller person (I'm 5'9").
While great for a day hike out to your favorite stream, these fell short of my expectations for a one-pack-to-rule-them-all overnight backpack. I will probably look for a larger pack with less hanging straps and more room for waders.

High Sierra 30-Inch Wheeled Cargo Duffel Cargo Duffel
I bought a similar High Sierra rolling bag two years ago. I travel with it at least once per week and it held up pretty good for those two years, but the wheels finally wore out. But I thought it held up good enough so I bought this bag. I like it even better because it stands up and is slightly trapezoidal in shape. So far so good, but lets see if those wheels will last more than two years this time.
Rick Steves Autobahn Messenger Bag
See my other bag reviews if you have a 2011 15" MacBook Pro.Out of all of the bags I ordered, this was my favorite messenger bag. This is a great bag with the exception of the laptop compartment. There is NO padding on the bottom. I have a tendency to set my bags down with the bottom of the bag on the ground, counter, floor of the car, etc.
+ Nicely padded shoulder strap
+/Side loading laptop compartment -no need to lift the flap, it has a separate zipper on the side.
+ Water bottle holder on side
+ Padded grab handle, decent sized, would work with gloves.
+ Pencil/pen holders under flap.
+ main compartment under flap has a big zipper, unlike a traditional messenger, thus this one should be fairly waterproof.
no cross strap if you are going to cycle with it and want to wear it like a traditional messenger.
+ 15" MacBook Pro 2011 fits loose in compartment, but is good with a sleeve (see my other reviews).
+ I believe there is enough space for a larger laptop.
+ Room for adapters, books, etc, but doesn't appear overly large.
I sent this bag back. Specifically due to the lack of padding on the bottom of the laptop compartment. If this bag is updated, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I've been using this bag for a few months now and I really like it. Separate zippered computer pocket makes it easy to get to computer without having to open everything up. The computer pocket could be a little better padded, but its not bad. Plenty of space for books, pens, papers, lots of other stuff. I think a larger padded area for the shoulder strap would be nice too, but overall, I think this is a great bag for the money.

i bought this bag with a gift card i received because i got a new laptop. i probably didn't pay attention to the dimensions because it's a little larger than i expected, but i love it! the color is awesome and it holds everything! it has an easy velcro release so you don't have to pull it over your head and it's very pretty. i volunteer with a no-kill cat rescue organization and i do the scheduling so i am always carrying my notebook, volunteer applications, mailing and phone lists and general stuff. it carries all of that and sometimes my lunch too! i love this bag!
What one may not be prepared for, however, is how big the bag truly is. All of the padding makes it full-sized even when it's not carrying any items. The bag is a very deep bag to begin with, and the padding just takes away any "deflating" that you could achieve by keeping the bag mostly empty. As for the material, it's durable, but it sort of feels like a raincoat because it's a little waxy. The strap had enough adjustment range for me, but the velcro worries me a little. If you're wearing a sweater and have your strap adjusted, the velcro will be exposed and will easily snag your clothes since there is no cover provided for the velcro.
The bag is definitely durable enough to handle heavy loads, I just wish it didn't look like it was carrying a heavy load when it's practically empty.

I absolutely love this bag. It has room for my Dell 15.4" laptop and cords, as well as 2 text books and a folder. I keep my wireless mouse, headphones and pens and highlighters in the front pockets. It has enough padding that I don't worry about my 17 month old daughter damaging my laptop when she decides to try to carry the bag. The only thing I would add would be a side pocket to keep my cell phone, but that is a minor detail. I purchased this laptop bag for my daughter. Her Apple MacBook fits perfectly inside the padded Velcro secured section. The second big section in the main compartment is great for carrying a few folders and the charger. These two sections are secured snugly with a drawstring attached to a toggle.The underside of the flap, lined with a soft reddish orange corduroy material, has a Velcro attachment to the main part of the bag. The flap covers two outside zippered pockets. The smaller of these two pockets could easily hold pencils, pens, a calculator, keys, and a few small personal items. The larger pocket is divided into three sections, this is an ideal place to carry a cell phone, an iPod, a wallet; things like that.
The wide shoulder strap is adjustable and fits comfortably on the shoulder. The vivid orange and red color and design of the bag is fun and bright. Not exactly professional or mature in appearance, but perfect, I think, for a student.

Although I have usually been happy with Kensington products, I am not thrilled with this bag. The top handle is too tight and very difficult to get a hold of. The zippers are reluctant to open and close and the hand pulls on them still get lost in the fabric even though they are generous in size.

Ohmetric 30076 Notebook Shoulder Case with Removable Workstation and Organizer
I have been using this bag daily for over a month now, and I have been very impressed with the thought that went into its design. Although aesthetically, there is nothing really notable about it, the quality and design of the bag are really exceptional. The interior is lined with bright green and grey nylon fabric, which makes pocket interiors very easy to see. The handle feels sturdier than any other bag I've ever owned, and is very comfortable to grip. The shoulder padding is fixed on the strap, and the strap length is adjustable from either side which allows you to place the strap exactly where you want it. The front clasp is also adjustable to make more room in the front pocket. A large pocket right behind the front flap is closed using only a stitched in magnet, which makes it perfect for keeping papers or a book for easy access. All interior and exterior lining is padded. Every seam and zipper feels very solid, and after a month or so of daily use, the bag looks and feels exactly as it did the day I bought it. I have flown with the bag too, and I can attest to Ohmetric's claim that it is great for getting through security.There are only two negatives I've come across so far. The first is that in the main section there is a removable "organizer" with three pockets. The organizer is great, and fits all the computer stuff I need fine, but it faces inword, and so with the pockets full it can be a bit of a hassle sliding books in next to it. In order to fix this, I just put the organizer behind the document pocket instead of on the velcro, and that completely resolved the issue.
The second issue is that the metal clasps tend to squeak a bit when walking with a full bag. Some WD40 quieted things a bit, but not completely. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the bag, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good laptop work bag.

I am a woman who travels frequently for business. I have been looking for the perfect briefcase for my laptop. This is it. It slides on the handle of my rolling carryon suitcase. It has a nice area for a laptop (actually, I'm now using a netbook for travel). There is a side for files, a side for the powerstrips, mouse, recharger for cell phone, and that is stuck in with velcro so it is removable. There is even a secret zippered compartment. I love the green lining that makes the stuff that sifts to the bottom easy to find. It is very thoughtfully designed. I love it. So few things you buy are better than you expected. This is not just better -it is BEST!(2008 HOLIDAY TEAM)The Ohmetric 3-in-1 Notebook Shoulder Case with Removable Workstation and Organizer disappointed me. For basic users, the positives may make this case good enough. But for frequent business travelers or commuters, the flaws are hard to ignore. Given the high MSRP & the large number of better cases out there, I see no reason to purchase this case unless it's at a steep discount. Even then, you might want to consider alternatives.PROS:

-There are no side pouches or zippered pockets; this standard feature is sorely missed on this bag
-Document pouch is too loose to hold documents, but too shallow to squeeze binders into
-No internal key rings or latches in the bag or mobile organizer
-No headphone port or MP3 player pouch, which almost all new bags include
-Despite being advertised as "checkpoint friendly," this case and it's accessories are designed so that TSA will still require you to remove your laptop for screening
-The listed MSRP is absurd given the overall cheap feel of the organizer & platform
CONCLUSION
This bag is functional and it does have some positives. But the cheap feel and gimmicky accessories are not consistent with the bag's high MSRP. Some design elements could have been improved to make this bag more functional for business travelers & commuters. You have to really study the product picture to realize this bag only has one handle. It seems to be sewn into the body well, but I'm still concerned it won't be durable enough for the harsh commuting & travelling I have to do.
In light of the many reservations I have about this bag, I would recommend that you review the alternatives. Some, like the Targus Checkpoint-Friendly Air Traveler Backpack actually provide the travel friendliness that this bag advertises. And if you need a shoulder bag, others like the Targus Metro Roller give you more storage and the added benefit of a luggage handle and wheels. Even more basic options like the Belkin 15.4-Inch Messenger Bag are worth considering. For the record, I own all of those bags and many others. The Ohmetric will not likely get much use on my future business trips. The platform & mobile organizer looked great in the product picture, but in person they look cheap & of limited use.

Want to add a little more excitement to my 5-yr-old's big day Kindergarten, we spent at least 20 minutes on Amazon picking his new backpack. He loves Pokemon and this is just perfect. OGIO Locker Bag
I've had this bag for a couple months now, and use it several times a week at the gym. On the whole I think it's a very good bag that delivers what it promises. The positives:--Slim enough to fit easily in the lockers at 3 different locations I go to, which have pretty standard-sized half-length lockers.
--The interior and most compartments are easily accessible when in the locker, which frees up space on the bench in front of the locker. For me that alone makes the bag worth it because now I don't have to jockey for space to sit or for my stuff when the locker room gets crowded.
--Interior volume is spacious--I can fit my workout shoes, hand towel, shower towel, shorts, shirt, socks, and underwear and still have room left.
--Shoe "compartment" works well; even large shoes easily fit due to the extra pop-out section in the back of the bag.
--The "door" has enough pouches to hold deodorant, shampoo & soap containers, and a couple other items.
--Construction is solid, yet surprisingly light, with lots of venting to help dry out sweaty clothes and keep down odors.
OK, but there are a few negatives, which IMHO could be solved with a few design tweaks:
--Because it is so lightweight the bag easily tips over. Not a problem when it's in the locker, but if you set it on the bench or floor you've got to be careful. This is especially true when the door swings open--it acts to pull the bag over, especially if it's weighted by bottles of shampoo, deodorant, etc.
--The door has a single zipper, which opens from top to bottom along the side of the door. To open the door you have to completely unzip it (over the top, down the side, and under the door). This is my biggest complaint about the bag--it is a hassle to run the zipper along the underside of the door if the bag is in your locker or on the floor. You have to lift up the bag to accomplish the final stretch under the door, which often causes the bag to tip over (see point above). If you set the bag slightly out of the locker to more easily unzip the door, then it tends to tip forward out of the locker as the door opens, due to the lightweight design, potentially spilling your stuff.
--The "wet" compartment at the back of the bag is nice, but my old duffel-style Oggio bag had two wet compartments; one I used for dirty clothes, and the other for my shower sandals. The wet compartment on this bag isn't large enough to fit my shower sandals, nor will they fit in the shoe area along with my workout shoes. So I put the shower sandals in the large "magazine" pouch on the side of the bag--which works well unless you want to actually use it for magazines, etc. Fortunately for me my Kindle fits perfectly in the compartment on the front of the door.
--Because the bag is taller than typical duffels it leaves less room to hang your street/work clothes in the locker, as they'll drape over the bag, especially if you want to hang both a shirt and slacks. (This is of course only an issue with typical half-length lockers. If your gym has full-length lockers you're golden).
The first two issues above could be solved by adding weights to the bottom of the bag (I may try this myself), and by adding a second zipper to the door, so you could leave just the underside unzipped if you prefer. If they made those changes this bag would be nearly perfect. As it is I still think the pros far outweigh the cons, and the bag delivers where it needs to: it keeps my stuff organized & accessible, and makes changing & cleaning up after a workout a bit easier and more efficient.
The only other negative is the frame of my bag warped when left in my hot car all day. I decided to go ahead and replace it for the winter because it is that great a bag, but need to come up with a solution for next summer.

I have wanted an OGIO brand locker bag for a long time. They look really cool and I prefer the locker bag shape over a traditional gym bag since I workout at the YMCA and keep all my stuff in a locker.I remember when these were about $100 and I'm glad to see the price has dropped considerably over the years. I've had mine for about 2 years.
Pros:
1. Looks Its a great looking bag (I have the black/red design). I still have people at the gym who ask me about it.
2. Quality Very good build quality. I usae mine 5 times a week and it still looks new and the zippers and fabric are holding up well. Not to mention its rigid enough it keeps its shape all the time empty or full unlike cheaper knock-offs.
3. Locker Design This is the main reason I wanted one of these. Tall narrow lockers are a pain and this design works well in a locker and makes it easier to get to my stuff.
4. Lots of Pockets This thing has a place for everything. It has a front pocket for misc., a main compartment for your clothes, a rear pocket that is sealed for wet items and two side narrow pockets (I use them for my iPad, workout schedules, etc). Not to mention all the toiletry pockets for shampoo, deodorant, etc.
5. Shoe Divider I love that there is a shelf keep my tennis shoes away from my clothes. You never know what you're stepping on and I don't want it on my clothes.
Cons:
1. Single Zipper The three main compartments all have only one zipper each. To me this is a cheap design and really hurts the brand. There should be two zippers on each compartment, if for no other reason than to allow the owner to put a small suitcase lock on and secure your items inside from others. As it is now, you cannot lock any compartment.
2. Hanging in Locker You can sit this bag on the floor of a locker, but that means you have to bend over to get anything in or out. I like to hang my bag up higher. To do this you have to use the shoulder strap. It works okay, but is not ideal and puts unnecessary wear on the strap. I'd suggest a sewn in s-hook or similar on the back or middle of the bag. This would let you hang it either from a coat hook or cross bar that are in most lockers.
3. Carabiners I wish this product came with a way to more easily hang Carabiners from the bag. Often I have water bottles, wet sacks, etc. that come with a Carabiner for attachment.
4. Water Bottle Holder There really is no dedicated elastic water bottle pocket and there really should be on either the front, back or sides.
Overall I really like this bag, but it lacks some obvious amenities to be a 5-star quality bag worth $50+ dollars.

This bag is made for gym lockers. I only wish it were taller to accomodate more things! It is all the product description is and more. I only wish I had bought another color than black everyone who has one looks like mine.

I actually do like this bag however I marked the bag down because the product is not as described.The bag's material is a faux leather which should actually be easy to wipe down and the inside is a nylon, again nice for easy wiping but kind of makes a crinkle sound when you are digging through your bag looking for stuff. The bag is advertised as a elegant and functional diaper bag solution which I think is accurate but I would add sporty. This bag isn't as chic as it appears in the pictures but more sporty. I am expecting my second baby and I think I should be able to fit just the bare essentials for two (two sizes of diapers, wipes, changing pad, toys, pacifier, lotion, hand sanitizer, cell phone, small wallet, pens, water bottle, and maybe a nursing cover). There isn't going to be room for extra clothes, blankets, or bottles/formula. But if you only have one or prefer to travel on the lighter side then this bag is plenty roomy. The changing pad is very thick and I am sure would be nice to lay on . . . but I don't have room in the bag to carry such a thick changing pad.
I am disappointed because this bag is advertised as a being able to convert into a backpack which I thought would be a useful feature with two kids. Th 2010 version of this bag does not convert into a backpack and according to the manufacture, only the 2008 and 2009 versions convert into the backpack. This bag also does not come with the pictured "removable bottle holder" and again according to the manufacture, only the 2008 version has this feature. The 2008 and 2009 versions have been discontinued and through various research I can't find anyone who actually sells the 2008 and 2009 versions. Plenty of websites claim to sell them, but once I contact them to confirm they only have the 2010 versions. I've include the Peg Perego response below:

I have only had this bag for a week and only carried it once because I have been on the hunt for the 2008/09 versions. I can't comment on the durability but the bag does look like it is made well and should last a long time.

Coleman RTX 3100 30L Backpack with Laptop Sleeve
I have had this backpack for two years now (purchased in July 2009) and it has stood up remarkably well. This backpack has been used primarily as a "work" bag (used to haul my lunch, work supplies, laptop, etc on a daily basis to and from work) plus it has seen some significant duty as a carry-on for both international and domestic flights (fits great under the seat). There are a healthy amount of internal pockets which are well protected and proportioned and the smaller external pockets are easily accessed and close securely (for the most part).I am admittedly pretty rough with my backpacks and historically, most of them seem to wear out in two areas. The first is the stitching where the shoulder strap attaches to the top of the bag (common to most every backpack, no?)and the second is the fabric bottom/under-belly. This bag has held up in these two areas very well for me and are in almost new condition. I am especially surprised because I often keep this backpack under my desk and it is constantly being stepped on, kicked, and being dragged across a rough nylon carpet. These repetitious actions tend to quickly wear through the fabric bottoms of my backpacks... the one that I had before this one had holes in the bottom within 6 months under these conditions.
Other positives are the color... noticeable but not an obnoxiously bright orange. This bag also has a few stripes of reflective fabric on the shoulder straps for safety at night.
The only negative thing I have to say is in regards to the two mesh pockets on either side of the bag. They are not secure (no closures), they are tight and get shallow towards the front of the bag and I think that there could be a distinct possibility of losing stuff if you use them. I also see them as an easy target to get pilfered on a crowded city bus.
