Arc'teryx Spear 25 Daypack
As I said, this is a very strange laptop backpack.Here's what I like:
It's kind of a briefcase turned on its side so you can wear it as a backpack. The construction quality, as always with Arc'Teryx, is top-notch. It's also very professional-looking. You could carry this to a business meeting using the side handle, and few people would notice it's actually a backpack.
The straps are great. Well-padded and structured. The framesheet is awesome, too. Makes it really supportive.
The laptop "sling" is a great alternative to padded bags. You get great protection without bulky padding.
Here's what I don't like:
The storage is barely accessible. The zippers are way too short; they don't even go the full length of the pockets. If all you are doing is inserting manila folders, you'll find it works fine. But I can't even figure out how you would put a pen in some of the pen slots, much less clothes. Even dropping your power brick in the main pocket is more awkward than it should be.
The laptop pocket is also hard to get at. You really have to squeeze your hand into the pocket to fasten the velcro retaining strap. It's badly-sized for my 14" ThinkPad.
The back is actually quite large, too. It's thin, but the length and width are pretty big. I would not call this compact by any stretch.
All in all, it's not worth $150. It may be well-built, but it is ill-conceived. I'm sending it back.

Although I had never shopped at Amazon for anything other than books before and was therefore a little apprehensive, this turned out to be an excellent purchase. The briefcase is everything it purports to be: sturdy, high-quality, practical and attractive. If anything, the photos on the Amazon site don't do it full justice, ironically the opposite of what I had feared. It came well-protected against scratches; its packaging easily survived a transatlantic air trip in my luggage. And as to price what can I say? This sleeve is perfect for my MacBook Pro. I generally keep my laptop in a laptop bag, but when I travel, I like to put my laptop in a bigger bag and wanted something to protect it. This sleeve is just want I wanted. It fits the MacBook Pro perfectly, and keeps it protected (particularly from crumbs and other things in my bag), and it looks great, too! I frequently attend conferences where lots of other attendees have the same or similar laptop, I love having this sleeve standout, so I always know it's mine. It's a great design, and just so happens to match my purse!It is a thin sleeve, which is what I wanted. I know some complaints on other sleeves were that they weren't thick enough to protect the laptop. I'm just looking for protection from scratches and stuff in my bag, not something to protect it from a fall to the ground. I wanted thin and lightweight and this sleeve does the trick!
The sleeve is NOT WATER PROOF! So watch it and be careful not to spill that mug of coffee perched dangerously on your laptop that is encased in its sleeve (no I didn't spill coffee on my Macbook).
It is slightly padded; although that does not make it less painful if you drop your $2,000 Macbook pro on your toes. Yes that happened and fortunately my toes broke its fall so my laptop is fine (Ouch!).
I enjoy owning this product due to the fact it protects my laptop from scratches (and cats, dogs, sisters ext.)

This is the worst backpack EVER! I didn't expect much, since it's a "character pack" and not a name-brand, hiking-worthy item. But, honestly I have had "character" backpacks last longer from discount retailers than this one has lasted. It's of terrible quality, not capable of sustaining two months of a 1st grader's use, i.e. transporting graded work, memo folder, and a fabric lunchbox. Pathetic! Spiderman Large Rolling Backpack
I purchased this over 6 months ago for my son who is 5. It is great and roomy to put everything you need. It is not very durable,(not happy about that) the back straps broke but my sons rolls the backpack and hardly puts it on his back.
I would not recommend this backpack at all. The only plus is the cool artwork on the front.I bought this backpack for my 5 yr old who is in Kindergarten. He loves superheroes so I figured this would be a great rolling back. The size of the backpack is very spacious with several compartments. However, after about 2 weeks, the mechanical frame that holds the wheels broke completely. The backpack was then unusable after that. The backpack was not handled roughly, but the roller wheels frame is not that durable.

I loved this backpack so much I bought this one only after I had already bought the green one from REI! It is the perfect size for my 7 year old and also perfect as a daypack for an adult. I plan on using this to travel oversees. What I really like about it is that it has a "rucksack" drawstring opening under the clipped hood. You don't have to worry about everything falling out when you open the pack, which is great for my son. Plus it has very handy zippered pockets on top and on the front. It has a chest clip for the straps so I don't have to worry about it slipping of the shoulders. Love this bag!

We bought these for a 7 and 9 year old fir a trip to Europe. They were the perfect size and they are good sturdy packs.This backpack was the perfect size for our 8 yo with a little room to grow. Seems to be of good quality, but haven't used it enough to confirm that.

They're so easy to maneuver. I'm clumsy so I dropped them and dragged them by accident a few times and they always held up. With these 3 pieces and a purse, I managed to make it out of the airport with no help, which I loved! Great quality, I just wish (like with most suitcases) that the handles weren't so loose/lightweight compared to the case.

I'm a 23 year old student who does on-call overnights for my internship, so I needed a bag that I can pack a ton of stuff in without worrying about it. This works great so far. The canvas is on the lighter side and definitely won't be the best for weather, but for a change of clothes and some contact stuff and makeup, it'll work great. It's nice and big! Would even be a great diaper bag if needed because it's got the side pockets and zips closed to protect your items.Seems to be pretty secure and I love te fuzzy HK patch on the front. :]

The woodland camouflage Alice pack i purchased is in mint condition. The waist straps are desert color with the older style buckle which i will replace later with OD green or something. But over all i didn't buy it for its waist straps :) not a big deal. Over all better than i expected.It arrived on time as promised and i would shop with this seller again.

Conclusion:
Very affordable, but will likely come with hassles. I was able to have a frame sent but when received found it in very rough condition, rivets had been replaced with screws and covered in chipping white paint. If you really need an Alice bag on a budget, go for it, but be ready to do some dancing.

Don't expect this to arrive matched up like one of the frame/pack orders you can purchase brand new. Straps, kidney pads, frame, where all different shades of O.D. even the upper and lower straps didn't match each other. Only the Med ALICE pack was woodland camo. All items showed field use but there where no name stencils on any of the parts. All the parts appeared to be GI but they may not have been issued as one unit. After reading product description, and other reviews, I thought I would take a chance on this "used" pack. After I received, I realized it was used, and abused. My intentions were to have it as a spare "bob" bag. Instead I threw it straight in the trash, where it belonged.
Military Inspired Canvas Crossbody Messenger Bag Laptop Case Backpack Olive Drab
Bag arrived in small parcel folded into mailbox. Expected a box, so I didn't actually get it until a day after delivery. This either ruined any rigidity the bag may have ever had, or more likely due to the canvas construction was never there.I expected the inside to be canvas, instead it is a scratchy vinyl material. This is especially grating and noticeable on the opening flap. You have this beautiful canvas bag, then you open it and that black glossy scratchy sounding material ruins the illusion. Overall the bag seems cheaply assembled. While the canvas is durable, as it should be, The plastic clips, inside material, and carry strap are all of poor quality or bad material. Though special note should go to the stitching, which seems to be or rather good quality.
The front pocket's snap is difficult to open with one hand, and combined with the poor quality of the 'leather' strap that holds it I feel I'm going to rip the snap right off. Either a slightly less tight snap, or a higher quality strap would solve this problem.
The metal Rectangular rings worry me. When loaded with only 3kg of books, hard drives, a laptop, and various other things, they seemed to begin to stretch, not noticeably but the strain was there. That is troublesome considering the size of the bag is something that encourages putting 3 or 4 kg of stuff into it. IN addition with a messenger style bag, more than 1 kg without paddding hurts a shoulder after a while. The lack of padding, or atleast a small moveable pad, is bad. The bag is large and if it didn't have all the above flaws would be an amazing item. But with them... It's average.
Unfortunately, I think I'm the only reviewer to bring up the inside material. I wish someone else had done so, would not have ordered if they had, would have spent more on another bag.
I'm not a fan of having to pay my own return costs, so I guess you could add this review to the seller review as well. I should not have to pay to return a defective product...

This is my first messenger style bag and I really like it. I keep a couple of technical books for work, my lunch, gloves, phone, water bottle, etc. and there's still plenty of room left for many other things (like a laptop). I don't know how well it would work for school toting around 5 plus full sized text books, but it works perfectly for my commute to work and back.My only complaint would be that I find myself having to adjust the strap once a day or so because the strap adjuster slides around a bit to freely.
EDIT: (4/18/2012) Last week, my bags main seatbelt style snap broke off. I wouldn't say i snapped it off roughly, but i wasn't paying attention and i guess it got away from me. Thems the breaks i guess. I feel like this bag was a little young for me anyway. I'm gonna look for something a little more grown up this time.This bag is cute yet I used it for only one month and the threading came apart and the following day the zipper came off. It isn't a good bag for a college student. I carried only 3 books in it at a time and it couldn't hold up. I would just spend the extra money and get something worth buying.

14" Transformers Backpack
This is a nice backpack, and my son loves it. I bought it for him for summer camp, and I think it will work nicely. However, 14" is smaller than I thought it was. It's my fault, of course. I should have measured first to figure out how big it would be. I would have liked a slightly larger backpack so I could fit a change of clothes and his lunch in it, but it will work with the lunch in a separate lunch box.
The fact that it is a Transformer backpack was a huge selling point since my son is on a Transformers kick lately. The quality thus far has been far better than I expected. It has taken a beating a time or two (my son puts in on the floorboard of our vehicle and steps on it quite often). It is still in great shape without any rips or tears. It is easy to clean with a damp cloth and all zippers are still intact.
I would definitely buy this product again.It's a cute back pack, However, the side net to hold the water bottle, ripped the second day we had it. Other than that, we love it.

My 6 yr old just loves this bag. It is not as big as a normal backpack and with all the winter gear that the school requires they have it can't all fit, but still a very nice bag. Seems decently made...should be able to get a least of couple of years out of it, and for the price you can't beat it.

Dakine Burnside Pack
I use this bag everyday now when biking or skating to campus. The laptop sleeve is perfect for protecting a computer or throwing a few books in, and the side zipper makes it really easy to put things in or out fast. The side pockets are a good size for a drink, which is nice so you don't have to do digging through all the other things in the main compartment. I've only had it a few weeks, but my last Dakine bag lasted 4 years and is still going strong.This is a great bag with all the features anyone really needs and no extra useless stuff to take up space and weight.
i wish they had some sort of zipper instead of drawsrings for openning the main container.
The water bottle holder goes into the backpack isntead of out so if its packed super tight, water bottles might be hard to fit.

It's got some cool features and it's pretty big (which can be a pro or a con). There's a side zipper for direct access to the laptop compartment if you don't want to unclip and loosen the string, it's cool and convenient but if you live in a neighborhood like mine and people see you use that zipper, you might get your laptop stolen without you even knowing (hasn't happened to me but there's crazier things that have happened in the world, so don't doubt that it can't). There are side pouches for drinks and whatever else you want to fit, it's a nice addition but it's built into the backpack itself and can take up space for your other stuff, so it's kind of counter-intuitive. The zipper on the top has plenty of space and will most likely be used for things like pencils and pens. The skate straps are velcro, so they make a lot of noise but if you don't skate, then they're not a problem. The interior has plenty of space for anything you need to pack and it's made of high quality material and blah blah blah. Overall, it's good bordering on great but not amazing. My son loves this back pack. Very durable and utilitarian. He uses it for school and carries what seems like a 100 pounds of books and there is no sign of wear. It is also great for housing all of his gear and tool kits he bring along when he skates. I would recommend this for sure.

I'm very pleased with this bag. It has become my everyday bag because it organizes my things so well. The back wall easily holds a Nexus 7 and Kindle paperwhite. My Android smart phone fits easily in the RFID pocket and the other side pocket holds my reading glasses and pens. The main compartment is spacious. I have an old zipper pouch that holds loose items (lipstick, hand sanitizer, hand cream, etc.), and a large wallet that both fit with room to spare. How much room? On a recent event, I had all these items in this bag plus a full size DSLR camera with an 18-70mm lens--a snug fit, but there was still space to stuff little things if I had to. This little backpack is a workhorse. The Herringbone version looks fabulous.UPDATE: I stated this has become my everyday bag. I've since bought the Slingsafe 100 also by Pacsafe and that little cross-body purse is my everyday bag! When I need to carry more than my Kindle, Nexus 7, purse, lipstick, pen, and keys, this sturdy little backpack is what I reach for.
1.It is really secure, because of it smart zipper hook, slash proof shoulder straps and slash proof mesh that covers it under the exterior fabric.
2. The fabric (which is nice and elegant) could match both black or brown accessories.
3. Has a great internal distribution, an anti scam pocket, an external pocket for example to easily reach your phone or for handkerchiefs. Fits my iPad, water bottle wallet, mini umbrella and.
I love it! looks durable! my fingers are crossed.

Piel Leather Multi-Pocket Laptop Backpack - Black
I am sure the backpack is great! Unfortunately the backpack I received from this seller, Luggage Pros was a factory second! The right and left straps have different buckles. The left strap works. The buckle on the right strap is the wrong kind and allows the strap to slip free and come lose without warning. I had a $4000 notebook computer in this bag the first time I used the bag and the strap slipped. You can imagine what happened next. I am now trying to return the pack. The seller is making me pay for shipping to return a defective product. This is not right.
