The TUMI sales associate claimed this backpack is water resistant -it is NOT. I stood in light drizzle, under an umbrella, for 5 minutes while waiting for a shuttle, and my laptop had water on it. I dried it off and it happened again in my five-minute walk home from the subway. These zippers should not have been used in an upward-facing position because they leak profusely. Really too bad, because it's otherwise an attractive, slender-profiled and comfortable backpack, but for this price it should not have such a major design flaw.

The other commentator was right -it is not water-proof; my $50 jeansport comes with a lining cover over zippers, so that water can't get in. And it has a life-long warranty. This makes the My First LeapPad SO easy to just grab and go. It also helps the games and books not get lost, to stay organized, and even to stay in better condition than if they were sitting around the house getting dust/etc in them.
It is very comfortable to carry and is large enough for my laptop, chargers, and cables. I really like this case since others I have had in the past were not very durable. This one is much better.
I love the Baggallini Roundtrip cross-body bag. I wanted something that would hold just a few items -wallet, coin purse, keys, cell phone, lip balm, comb, business cards, and possibly a pen and some paper. This is the perfect bag for these things. It could probably hold a few more things, such as sunscreen or gloves, hand wipes, and a Kindle. I love the wide straps, since narrow straps cut into my shoulders. The nylon fabric resists lint and pet hair, so it looks tidy even though my house isn't. It's much wider than my old purse, but it's very flat so I can't stuff it full of too many things. Which is great for me, but if you're looking at the height and width and expecting to be able to put a lot of things in it, you'll be disappointed. I've only had it a week, so I can't comment about durability, but it seems well-made. There are several compartments. In the picture, you can see a large and a small zip compartment. What you can't see is that the smaller zip compartment lifts up to reveal another zip compartment of equal size underneath it, just big enough to hold a wallet or keys. And there is a large pocket-style compartment in the back, held closed with one snap. Inside the main zip compartment, there is a small zip compartment and organizer pockets for holding several credit/ID/business cards, two pens, and a smartphone or PDA. The main compartment also holds a small cosmetics purse, which is clipped to a strap that attaches to the inside lining.
This pack is ideal for holding all your martial arts needs in just one bag. It is large enough to hold all my 30 inch Kali sticks and my JKD equipment.

I bought this backpack used and the seller claimed it was "very good" and it wasn't. It was badly frayed and I had to trim it with scissors. Then the front pouch zipper was un-usable and I bought a new zipper and sewed it in. Then When I gave a low rating for the product the sellor sent me emails every day to change the rating which I did not. After all the work I put into the zippor I wasn't going through the hassle of shipping it back. Don't sell people crap and you won't get a low rating.
There's no information online about these, so I'll sum it up for you. This is made from high quality backpack material with a rubber(ish) inside lining. The waterproofing looks and feels sort of like the same material as hot glue. The stitch and seams have all been sealed over. The waterproofing is done with a velcro seal at the top then rolled over itself three or four times and clipped. If you look at the pictures, that top "handle" looking thing with the clicking buckles is actually how it seals itself against water.

This is the pack I've been looking for. Couldn't find just what I wanted and needed in the stores; nice packs but not just what I wanted. This pack is used to haul all the stuff you need for a day at the zoo or a cold morning at the soccer game. It's full of ponchos, water, sunblock, you name it. When the weather warms up, the jackets and sweaters go into the pack. The waist belt is removable for what I need; can be reinstalled if needed for a real hike. The ONLY thing I would suggest is larger zippers, but the ones that come with it now are not a deal breaker. Size wise I call it a day pack. A week in the woods and I would want an external frame and as large of a pack as I could move with. My husband bought a kelty map 3500 for use at work. When we planned a trip to the local zoo, I decided to take the pack with us. We bought the camelback bladder and put the kids clothes, snack, books, first aid kit. The bag worked so great, all the things fit nicely and it was not burden to carry, like my old diaper bags. The fact that I could drink fresh water whenever I wanted without having to buy bottles of water was so nice.
It does and serves it's purpose. It can hold my iPad with a clam shell keyboard from TRENT attached plus room for my cell phone, stylus and a cords. Smart buy at a smart price.
When looking for a backpack for college I really wanted something both cute and large enough to fit my 15 inch laptop, all my books and the general miscellaneous of college life. This bag seemed to fit that.
Bought this to take to Comic-con in San Diego this year and it held a ton of my stuff. Has well thought out design for pockets and zippers. The "stand-up" handle on top is a nice feature that I used a lot. I also like the iPod pocket with headset access hole for keeping your mp3 player inside the bag. My lenovo T400 15.4" laptop fit nicely into the laptop slot and it has a velcro strap to keep it in place. Very nice bag and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I considered a more expensive version of the SwissGear backpack line, but I'm glad I went with this one. It's a great value.

First of all I have to say this is probably the best backpack I've ever seen in terms of construction quality and finish, this thing is ready to hold whatever you throw at it without tearing apart, trust me, it looks more like a camping backpack than a notebook one. I bought this backpack for hiking and I love all the features like sunglass holder, ipod w/ headphone slot, laptop pocket, water pockets. It has lots of pockets for different items. I don't know why it isn't labeled as a "computer backpack" since it has the laptop pocket. Descripton says it fits laptops up to 15''. The one I received looks identical as shown in the picture unlike the other reviewer.

The fabric on bag looks a lot better in real life than it does on the screen fabric is a perky spring green (not too bright or day-glo, though definitely not subdued) and has a sheen. Interior is a grey-ish white throughout so you don't have to deal with "black hole" syndrome. One large slip pocket & 2 mesh bottle pockets in main compartment, really nice simple changing pad compartment, mommy compartment big enough for wallet, keys, and accessory bags, and a smaller organizational department for things like iPods, cell phones, cameras etc.. Overall, the organization is just right, you aren't overwhelmed with random pockets everywhere but on the other hand you have a place for everything you might want to put in this bag. My one issue is sewing. When I got the bag there was a loose thread on the side and some of the seam had already snagged, after only 10 minutes of use. After a 2 hour museum outing, the mesh pocket on the side tore and the fabric on the front tore as well (this was a quiet trip to a museum, not a rock climbing trip!). The zippers aren't as smooth as my Eagle Creek backpack. I would say that the organization is nice but SkipHop probably should send someone to the factory in China for additional quality control measures. Fortunately Amazon accepts returns on faulty products, but I'm not sure I'll be getting another one in the near future.
