Booq Viper Hybrid Sleeve for 13-Inch MacBook Air - Gray (VC13-GRY)
14 inch Bubble Emotions Notebook Laptop Sleeve Bag Carrying Case for most of MacBook, Acer, ASUS, D
My case came smelling like chemicals and discolored.
The good:
fits and protects my laptop
It is light.
Came quicklyI liked that the two zippers go down the side far enough that you can zip the laptop up while its charging without a problem. It's also well made.
The only issue is that it is not as snug around the laptop as I would like. It says its for a 14" laptop, but it seems like it would better fit a 15"
Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

Gregory Mountain Products Alpaca 22-Inch Adventure Travel Roller Duffle-55 Liter
Anyone who has traveled by air in the last 10 years knows you have to put everything you'll need in a carry-on measuring 22x14x9". Gregory claims it's a "carry-on sized bag". Its dimensions are close and the cinch straps lead you to believe it will compress to qualify. It won't! The bottom is rigid at 12.5 x 14"
Most carry-ons have wheels and a telescoping handle which reduce the interior height from 8.5" to a mere 6.5". That's a loss of at least a pair of pants and 3 shirts!
Gregory saw the light and moved the handle rods to the outside in an attempt to regain 23.5% of the interior space. Good thought; poor execution! Gregory angled the handle rods to balance the bag on the wheels which reduced the entire 13.5" interior width dimension to just 11.5". Though a less reduction(15%)in overall usable space, folding your clothes to to a mere 11.5" is impossible.
The rest of the bag is absolute top quality. I hope Gregory sees the light again, removes the angle of the telescoping rods, and shortens the bottom to truly qualify as a carry-on. If and when that happens . . . this will be the most sought after bag on earth!

My son loves these socks. He said they were warm and comfortable. Quick shipment and no problems.Want J.B. Expedition Thermal Backpacker Outdoor Sock (2 Pairs) Discount?
Great looking and feeling socks though I recommend wearing them over a comfortable pair of sock liners rather than directly against the skin. It's not that cold out yet in NY, so I don't really know how warm these will keep me, but so far they look and feel great. I will probably be ordering more.Timbuk2 Shotwell Backpack
Secondly, the pocket location on this backpack did not distribute weight well for me. It's a tall backpack which I know will work well for others but was not what I was looking for with my 5'8" frame. If you put anything heavier than a smart pohone in the outside pockets (like keys and a pocket knife and other small, but heavy items) it makes the outside pocket bulge outwards over the power brick compartment. I also felt the shoulder straps were too close together and rubbed my neck wrong. I won't comment on the sewn-on bottle opener except to say: make it removable.
But the material was certainly rugged and the contruction/zippers, etc. were durable and excellent as always with Timbuk2. I would only recommend this pack for people who are comfotable with the narrow shoulder straps, who want a tall pack that carries very little (don't put weight in the outside pockets) and who are looking for a backpack in earthy & purple tones.I loved the look and feel of this bag because its longer and can fit a lot as well as being very light. The thing is I felt my laptop was not safe in the compartment even with a case. It doesn't have a hammock to keep it away from the bottom of the bag and no protection on the bottom is available. If you have a really heavy duty case than maybe it would be ok, but my merely placing it on the ground I could see how you could dent up your laptop. It also doesn't have as many pockets as other bags offer, and my water bottle wouldn't fit in the side pocket. Some of the pockets don't open completely. I love Timbuk2 but this bag is lacking their normal attention to detail I would probably try another bag unless you have the correct protection.

I've been commuting into NYC for many years, and have tried every style of bag available (including custom making my own market bag with a zillion pockets). I was on the hunt for a bag that was easy on my shoulders, had tons of orginization, was stylish, inexpensive (less than $100), and didn't leave me looking like a turtle (I'm a slender to average 5'4"). Sounds impossible, right?Wrong! This backpack is IT. Its cute, lightweight, is evenly distributed on my shoulders, and is incredibly compact. To give you an idea of how ninja this bag is, here's what I carry around with me to and from the city every day:
Cell phone
Wallet
Caribeaner of keys
Camera
Ipod
Kindle with case
Travel mug of coffee
Liter of water
Sunglasses
Small pouch of essentials (tampons, chapstick, business cards, bobby pins, toothpicks, etc)
Notepad, dayplanner, pens
Breakfast and lunch (several tupperware containers)
Change of clothes and a yogitoes towel for after work yoga
And there is STILL room for a sweatshirt and whatever miscellaneous crap I aquire throughout the day. I can seriously stuff this thing until I can barely zip it... And it still looks very sleek and compact. I can go to a nice bar or restaurant after work and not feel like I walked in dressed for camping.
I can't comment on how this bag is as a laptop bag because I don't own a laptop. And if I had to complain about this bag, I would say that the exterior waterbottle pocket is a bit snug for a liter bottle.
Bonus pointsI got this bag as an open box warehouse deal... For only $30. But I would have paid a little more for itthis bag was exactly what I was looking for and I absolutely love it.

I ride my bike or the train to work every day and was looking for a backpack to carry my gear for the commute. I'm really happy with this one and have used it for almost a year now. Timbuk2 is known for their quality and this backpack fits the bill. It's a little taller and more rectangular than square, which gives it a more stream-lined look. It fits everything I need for one day in it and even works well as an overnight bag. The laptop pocket is not well protected, but I keep my laptop in a protective pouch (purchased separately) and that does the trick. I don't carry my laptop every day, so I actually like not having the extra bulk in there. This thing is perfect if you need to carry around:Lunch for the day
An extra jacket, sweater, shirt
Ipod and charger
Some other random stuff
On weekends I'm able to carry around:
2 changes of clothes
1 pair of shoes
Toiletry bag
Some other random stuff
Looks great and does the job. Based on the quality I expect this to last for years and will definitely consider Timbuk2 products in the future.

I got my backpack back when Timbuk2 was having a sale on it, so I got it for $45. I think for this price, it was a great deal as this backpack has proven to be very versatile. I usually use it for school, and it is actually able to carry a great deal. I can fit my laptop, notebooks, books, 32 oz water bottle, food containers, and a sweater in the main large compartment without it looking bulky at all. It has a bottom compartment for the laptop charger, which I find to be a bit small if you just throw the wires in, but if you actually roll up the charger neatly enough, it is definitely enough space. The two zippers in front of the bag is also very useful and is deep enough for smaller things (such as pads, cell phone, ipod, or wallet). My only real complaint is the water bottle holder. It is impossible for me to squeeze my water bottle in (though it is a 32 oz bottle), and I feel that a simple water bottle will also be a bit too snugged. Thus, I use the pocket to carry my keys and phone instead. It is important to note that this backpack is a little bit longer than a typical backpack, though it is not very noticeable when when I wear it. I've read that other owners have complained about this, but it didn't seem to be a big deal when I bought it. What I really love about this backpack is the internal organizer for pens and pencils as it was very well thought out. I used to carry a pencil box to hold all my stuff, but I no longer need it because of this.To sum it up,
PROS:
Great slim/sleek look
Lots of compartments
Internal organizer
Carabiner
Secret pocket =O
CONS:
Though the material is durable, it is not waterproof
Small water bottle holder
No cushion for the straps or back
Laptop compartment also lacks cushion
Incase Coated Canvas Shoulder Bag (Black)
This a minimalistic case, not for pack rats!
If you carry your power adapter with you, it's going to be a tight fit.
+ iPad 2 : Has compartment for a naked Ipad 2. If you use a case/sleeve, you can fit it in front of the dedicated pocket.
+ Good padding around, except for the very bottom. I would cut a small piece of foam, or neoprene from one of your old cases and put at the very bottom. If I dropped the bag and it landed in the same orientation as you would set it down, I'd be slightly worried. That being said, it is one one of the better cases I've looked at recently.
+ Fits the MBPro 15" very nicely.
Won't fit the Macbook IF it is in a Lacie zipper-less sleeve. you can shove it in there, but will be turning the bag inside out to remove it. I like to use a sleeve plus the bag personally.
-/+ you will get a magazine, or two in here, but not much else in addition to the iPad and the Macbook Pro 15". No text books!
no grab handle.
+ Padded shoulder strap, non-removable.
+ Good style, looks too small to hold a laptop, so it doesn't scream laptop. Glossy appearance. Looks like a fashionable accessory.
Photos -if you look at this on the Incase website (same model), it shows the straps as being detachable, and having a grab handle. The Amazon photos are correct for the Amazon product.
Being a minimalistic bag, it's on my shortlist, as I can fix the padding myself. There are not a lot of minimalistic bags.I purchased this product in April 2011 and by around October/November 2011 the seams attaching the shoulder strap to the bag had begun to separate from the canvas. There was no undue wear or tear, just a 15" MBP and a couple of notebooks. The strap also lacks stitching down near the buckle to prevent the strap from bunching and forcing the buckle sideways. I would check out some of the other available shoulder bags.

I originally bought this with hopes of proving to myself that shoulder bags are better than backpacks -turns out this isn't the case (which is the only reason I gave this 4 stars). This bag is still a great bag, however. Like some others have said, it does not have a lot of space for anything really except a laptop, tablet, and a few accessories, but the plus side is that it looks extremely stylish.I still prefer backpacks over shoulder bags any day because they allow for more mobility and are more comfortable.

I had the previous model which was sold in Apple stores. I loved that one. It eventually ripped out where the strap attached to the bag, so I bought this one to replace it. Same company, same bag? Nope. Quality is lower. The strap seems thinner, and the coating seems to be less. It is hard to say if it will hold up as well as the first, but it just doesn't feel as well made. On the other hand, I spent 50% more for the previous one in the Apple store, so maybe there are actually two models without a visual distinction. One physical difference is that this one has a snap for the front flap, instead of Velcro. I prefer the snap, but wouldn't choose that over the difference in quality.

I wante a diaper bag big enough to be a purse as well as carry baby food and diapers. This one is a nice size and can hold a lot. Nice when we take lunch to the park. But it doesn't look like a diaper bag. It has a few bigpockets inside but I wish it had a few small outside pockets to hold keys and cell phone for quick access.Welk made has zipper closing and space for everything. I thought it was way too big vut it looks cuteeShould have known the price was too good to be true. When I got it, the handles and trim which looks like leather in picture are actually made of plastic. The straps were all bent and wrinkled and the material looked cheap. I returned it. Definitely not worth it.McKlein R Series Chicago Leather Detachable Wheeled Laptop
Sometimes I have to wear a suit, or slacks and a sportcoat. While backpacks are fine for jeans and a T-Shirt, they seriously disturb the lines of a suit. About two months ago I decided I needed a roll-behind bag that would allow me to carry all of the equipment I needed, while not disturbing the lines of my suit.
After a ton of research, I landed on the McKlein Chicago Detachable Wheeled Laptop Case. It also comes with a really nice, matching leather briefcase that I sometimes carry when I just need a laptop and a few accessories for a day-trip.
The retail price of this setup is about $500, but I got mine on Amazon for about $180. The shipping was slightly later than I had hoped, so it was deliverd while I was on a trip, but once I got back I immediately transferred the contents of the backpack to the new case and haven't looked back.
The McKlein has gone with me on two trips now and is set to travel with me to Canada for three weeks on Sunday. I love it. If it breaks, I'll buy a new one. I'll never carry a laptop in a backpack on a business trip again. IN fact, I'll never use a backpack again. If it's a short, day-trip, then I'll use the briefcase.
You can't do better than this set... unless they decide to make one in a distressed brown leather, in which case this one will be on Ebay and I'll buy the brown one.I bought this executive carryon for my boss as a departing gift, and I loved the leather material, it was very soft an shiny; one thing I didn't like though was the small briefcase inside, the material was not the same as the outside material and it didn't look top quality.

OGIO Luggage Varney Computer Case
This is the second attempt at replacing it. Last was a Targus, and they just are not tough enough (or large enough).
This Varney case is sweet and holds my 15.4" laptop (though I wonder at the very thin padding on the bottom).
It could be fairly larger and /still/ fit under the seat on any airline. It's very cramped in the various spaces.
I wish it was 6" "deep", with expanding pockets. The seams at the bottom of most compartments are very tight and don't include horizontal spacing.
Too bad, the style is impressive this bag really looks good. They don't offer anything similar to this that is larger so I've had to return it.
If there are any issues with that process, I'll update this post.

I bought this case because I needed something new. It fits my laptop, e-reader and iPad, plus all the chargers. Perfect case. This case is great looking and has just enough room (corner to corner) for your 17" laptop. The good news is that you can fit everything that you need, but don't plan on bringing the 'kitchen sink' with you. The bag looks slim and professional. I would definitely recommend it.Disney Cars 2 World Grand Prix Large Rolling Backpack
I really like the build, the compartments it has. It's super practical. I hate how some kid things are just way too small, even if they're made for older kids. Loved the design, my son loves it.Loved the side pockets for the drinks, spacious enough for lunch bag and jacket
and loved the 2 front pockets for any important things or nicknacks that a 1st grader brings.
Not too heavy, easy pull up handles no problem with them and the wheels worked well so far.
Hopefully it can last up to a 1 yr or so at least.

Tumi Alpha Expandable Organizer Computer Brief 26141
For single day / overnight travel, this briefcase cannot be beaten I am amazed at how often I see other consultants using the exact same case!
The case easily fits a laptop, a zippered legal pad, a handful of files as well as an iPad, Kindle, umbrella (in the waterproof front pocket a nice touch!), glasses case and chargers. The main compartment can be expanded via zip about 2 inches, which means a toiletry kit and Eagle Creek shirt folder (smallest size) easily fit in.
The "pocket" between the front panel and main compartment is a well designed feature when carrying the bag, the pocket is held closed by the front handle, but it is easy to access anything kept in the pocket when the bag is put down. Very handy when flying I keep my earphones and Kindle in there so I can grab them before I stow the case for take off.
I have used this case daily, and the material has held up well no tears or scuffs. It is with regard to durability however that I have only given the case 4 stars. The zipper tabs quickly become chipped showing the metal underneath, and as they are painted black, this is very noticeable and detracts greatly from the appearance of the bag. The old Tumi messenger I used to use daily had dark gunmetal zipper tabs while these became tarnished over time, this was hardly noticeable. The chipped tabs look very cheap for such an expensive bag the design, capacity and overall material durability of this case is worth the price, except for this issue. I have considered buying the leather version of this / other Tumi cases, but will hold off until there is a change back to the old zippers / the zips are upgraded.
Overall a great bag, however the use of cheap zippers is unfortunate.I own 2 bags one for work and one for personal. This Tumi bag serves as my work bag and I have been using it for over 7 years now. This model is the probably the most popular and for good reason. It has ample room for a laptop and all your paperwork. The expandability feature comes in very handy when you have to transport binders and other large materials. I have even put a change of clothes into it on occasion for overnight trips. The Tumi quality is outstanding as expected. As I mentioned before I have used the bag for over 7 years and it still looks pretty new. I would highly recommend this bag to anyone looking for a high end briefcase!

I cannot say enough about this briefcase! Every detail has been gone over with a fine toothed comb, and it originated some innovations that have been copied by competitors. The product has received slight updates since I bought it 10 years ago. I enjoy how well it's made each time I use it. Seriously, every time I pick it up, I am pleased how nice it is.Some things I really appreciate:
The way the business card pouch is accessible from the outside
The water(proof?) water bottle (Coke Zero!) pouch
The many inside zippered and elastic pouches
The printed refined cloth fabrics on the inside
The TUMI tracer
The key loop (love it when I'm traveling via air and don't need my home/car keys)
The umbrella pouch (perfect for a small auto-closing Tumi umbrella)
The CD holders (used for many purposes other than CDs)
The expandability (turns it into a one-night bag)
The large front pouch (fits the new Tumi Monster headphone case, which is a Tumi Alpha case)
Headphone port (I used that back in 03 with a hard disc iPod, but use less often today)
Cable organizing pouch (I actually bought two more because I'm an Eagle Scout and have held to the motto, Be Prepared :-D)
Awesome no-catch zippers
Indestructible and always looking good Alpha ballistic nylon
Solid clips and structural support throughout (I'm not worries it will break under any weight)
The two clip that can be selected if the bag is expanded for the strap (it just sits better on the shoulder when expanded. Necessary? No. A pleasure to use? Yes.
The leather handles (The wear, which is mentioned below, may not be great, but the soft handles are well-made and don't have problematic edges that irritate and was a good choice).
A couple things I don't like about my 10 year old version that might have been fixed:
There is an outside pocket that has a zipper on the bottom for putting it through a rolling case handle. On mine, it the bottom zipper won't stay closed all the time, so I cannot use if for storage. some sort of lathing zipper would be neat.
The new version has a monogram spot on the U shaped pocket. This "patch" doesn't seem attractive to me
The laptop sleeve isn't a good size for my thin Mac laptops. I got another sleeve from Timbuk2 that offers a bit of padding and just swapped it in.
A Note On Wear
I have used this briefcase every working day (and then some) since 2003, and other than some wear on the handles and a replaced strap, it looks brand new. The only reason I mention the handles and strap are that they're made with leather. I could probably recondition the handles. It's easy to buy a new strap from Tumi. I waaaay overloaded one of the front pockets a couple years ago and tore the inside fabric stitching. I took it to the Santana Row (Santa Clara, CA) store, and they sent it to a repair facility that repaired it for free less some shipping. They should've charged me, especially since it was 8 years old and I knew better. Oh, and they gave me a loaner briefcase too!
It's hard to go wrong with this bag! I suppose one only needs to decide how much storage they need and how big their computer or iPad is to ensure the right size. Tumi really hit it out of the park with this one!

Years ago I used to make fun of all those stiffs in suits carrying their expensive Tumi bags. Then I started working internationally, wearing suits and trying to travel without ever checking a bag. This little tote/briefcase is awesome for that.Right now I have my Mac Air, iPad and my Kindle in it, with all the cords as well as a pair of running shoes, a sweater, some t-shirts and boxers. This, coupled with my duffel, means I go abroad for up to two weeks without ever checking a bag.
Face it, Tumi makes a great product with a lot of thought put into what you need. It's durable and well organized and perfect for extended business travel.
Resistance is futile.

I was very happy with my Victorinox laptop brief, which I used for about 2 years without any problems, but lately I increased the quantity of things (electronics and work papers) I'm carrying with me when traveling, so I needed a bigger brief but light in weight and with the enough compartments for those important documents and basic things I travel with (passport, travel shaver, bluethooth headphones, chargers, etc.).This Tumi brief was exactly what I was looking for, I had the chance to try it on a duty free shop and I even got a discount price (payed less than the online price). It holds my laptop, the AC adapter, 3 chargers, my travel shaver, documents, the huge Nokia bluetooth headset case and my computer's security cable with no problems and it doesn't look like a sardine can. Totally recommend it.
Oakley Men's Ap Pack 3.0 Backpack
The only request I would have for the designers on this bag would be some straps/loops to attach some things to the exterior of the bag. Laptop compartment fits a 15 inch pc perfectly. Not sure you could squeeze a 17 inch in there. This pack looks great in images, but for the price it is severely lacking. I recently got it so I can't speak to durability over time, but materials seem so-so. What good is a metal handle if connected by 2 thin strips of nylon? Bag material is okay, but not heavy in any way for padding or elements. The metal clasps are a joke, large springs open to elements/dirt etc. and easily snaggable. The shoulder strap clasps are practically decorative and do not detach the straps which are sewn like 99% of every other bp.
17" laptop sticks up almost 2" past padding so any impact to that upper portion merely has a single layer of material without padding. Padding in laptop compartment isn't great, but to be fair, almost no pack I've found does. If you fill the upper flap areas with any thing rigid you will likely get 'rubbing' on the laptop portion exposed internally.
The real disappointment is the lack of small compartments within the larger ones. Not a pen, 1" or 2" elastic loop or pocket anywhere, so pens, keys, cables, adapters filter to the bottom of whichever larger section they are in. The bottom back does have a key clap, but it is plastic and practically broke just in my finger squeeze. Particularly the largest area just outside the laptop, just stupid not to have any pockets.
This is a really expensive gym clothes backpack. Probably good for day pack for skiing, day at the beach, but in no way is a true utility pack... Completely a 'poser' pack.
For best 17" laptop, lots of compartments, and much sturdier material, stick to the much cheaper, if not as sheik looking, Swissgear IBex backpack.

I work on the nyc subway and I needed a durable backpack so i came across this one. No one else on the subway system has this bag which was another reason why I bought this. Everyone has Swiss Army, I want to be different. This bag has a ton of pockets, strorage and is exreemly durable. Takes a beating everyday while I work on the NYC Subways and comes out looking better than me after 8 hours of dealing with annoying passengers (YES YOU!)Buy this bag its the best thing you will ever do. Stand clear of the clsing doors..........I looked and compared all backpacks and I found the Oakley to be the best . But for $150 there could be more besides the "name" . Don't get me wrong I love it but I would of ratcheted spent extra $20 on couple other ones I was looking at. Second the front pouch that has a zipper when you zipper it catches on all off this loose thread, so I took a lighter and burned off problem fixed. When you spend way over $100 on a backpack, you expect it to be PERFECT in every way. Unfortunately, Oakley's quality control is not 'quality' enough for me. I purchased this backpack directly from Oakley's website, and when checking all of the pockets/features that the zipper on the front main pocket was not working properly. After finally getting the zipper to open fully (which took about 3 minutes), I could see lots of fraying of fabric, where the zipper was getting stuck. It seems that the China factory worker found this zipper sticking on the extra fabric inside the pocket, and instead of trimming that extra fabric off, or pulling the item off the assembly table (since it is defective), they left it as-is. Now I have to try and remedy this problem by trimming the extra fabric. I don't think it'll work, since it seems to be a design defect in how the front fabric is sewn together and where they install the zipper.
