Sega Sonic The Hedgehog Large Backpack
My son is a die hard fan of Sonic the Hedgehog and I bought this bag for him to carry his video games, 3DS and iPad on our last vacation. The bag is very attractive, although a bit small, even though it was advertised as a large backpack. In about 3 weeks the 3D sonic figure in the front pocket started to peel off. Fortunately it appears that the bag was designed without the figure and it was superimposed later by a 3rd. party, so it looked just fine without it. However my son likes this bag so much that he decided to use it as his school bookbag, which I wasn't sure it would be a good idea. And I was right! After just ONE WEEK it completely bottomed out. And I mean ripped up and jagged like a hungry monster devoured it. Of course, my son is in 6th grade and carries a lot of books, so he needs a real backpack, which this one really isn't. If you need a large and sturdy bag that can be used to carry textbooks and hold up for a whole school year, this is NOT the bag you need. This is just a cute little bag to carry a few DVDs, some candy, handheld games and so forth.
Travelpro Crew 8 Business Backpack
I've used the Swiss backpack from ~4 years... but wanted to get something more professional looking. This one definitely looks the part but functionality is severely compromised...Functionality is so compromised that you'd think this company's product developers have never used their own product or a backpack... more like something management dreamed up as features to make the bag not very usable.
The bag dimensions are huge, but looking inside the space utilization is not that great. The ton of holed-liners they have on the inside of almost every panel, snag on everything. There are no pen/pencil holder slots, the individual pockets are not sized for business cards or anything else functional... lipstick/chapstick and that's about it.
Waterbottle pocket: You can't even fit the tiniest airline water bottle and then you're expected to zipper it shut else it will fall out from one side or the other.
Vertical Pocket design on the back looks inviting as a quick-pocket... but it actually goes all the way to the bottom, so you can't really put anything there for quick access because it will end up to the bottom. The seam that you see in the picture just creates a bump on the inside, it's not to create another pocket and to avoid having all your stuff end up to the bottom.
I have bought & used TravelPro luggage for many years and have been very happy with the durability... but this backpack design let me down in a big way.

I purchased this for my business trips. I take three or four a month, I travel three to four weeks a month. This backpack has seen about 100,000 miles in the last four months. I highly recommend it for it's durability. I have to cram it under the seat in front of me and even with about 20 pounds of computer equipment and a small purse inside, the bag fits perfectly under the seat in front of me on regular coach seats and all of the first class seats.I have bought TravelPro before and have been impressed with their durability but this back pack is exceeding those expectations.

This backpack is very well made and is as tough as it looks. The zippers are heavy duty and there is storage galore. I decided to return this backpack because it is too thick overall with semi rigid sides. It doesn't crumple up into a thinner backpack as some might expect. It is almost like carrying a soft side suitcase on your back. If you understand that it semi rigid on the sides and you have a lot to carry, then you will not be disappointed. On the outside the Backpack is very solid the zippers and stitching is great and the outside pockets are very useful.
However the stitching in the inside of some of the compartments seems a little flimsy and we'll see how it holds up. The Large size of the backpack makes me think that it will not fit under the seat of a small reginional jet but i have asked others and they say it fits fine

Purchased because it was recommended by Scott Kelby pro photog. Not sure why he likes it. The Velcro in the camera compartment is non adjustable. Their in not any Velcro on one of the four corners. Their is a 1/2 strip of Velcro on the bottom. Basically the compartment is divided in half and you cannot make one compartment bigger than another. My 5d iii with 24-105 attached does not fit. You would have to put the lens in one side and the body in another. Completely defeats the purpose of 'ease to get to'. A small DSLR with short zoom kit lens would fit just fine.Save 9% Off

I've carried this around for about a month now with often than not loads of notebooks that hurt my back, and well, it's still in tact!It's bigger than a "hiking" backpack I've previously carried around, and obviously much cuter and chic. I'm sure you could carry around about five of Fivestar five-subject notebooks and still have some extra space. It's wide and roomy.
There's a laptop slip inside (towards where your back goes) and a zipped pocket to put whateveryouwant to put. On the other side there are little pockets to put pens and two that are almost big enough to fit in a Apple laptop charger. The two pouches outside are pretty perfect for an Apple laptop charger.
Closing the backpack is not traditional, but you'll get easily used to it.
The only downside is the lack of a soft pad-sort of material against your back-meaning, if there's irregular shaped things in the laptop slip, you're going to feel it. I'm fine with dealing with that, though.
Anyway, I absolutely love this bag! Glad I got it.
6/7/13 -Quick edit: So I've used this bag for college for the last few months. It doesn't have the best back support-my hiking bag I mentioned earlier feels much lighter because of the cushions on it. This bag does not have that. Regardless, my love for this bag does not end. It has not broken on me yet, and I carried around more than I should while school was in session. If you have bad back-you have been warned!

I wanted to make sure I had the perfect backpack for my style and to held everything I use at school, but still be comfortable to wear. I FOUND IT! This bag is awesome. Lots of room, really strong canvas, adjustable and comfortable straps, pockets inside and outside, drawstring closing is nice if im in a hurry and need it closed and the buckle is just added security :) Right now I have one 3" binder (full), 3 text books, one 5 subject notebook, 2 folders (1/2 inch thick each), a pencil case, calculator, and my 13" laptop all in the bag and it fits great. Its not super crammed to where I'm worried about my laptop being affected in anyway and theres enough room to fit another notebook or two if i wanted. I'm very very pleased with this backpack and totally worth the price. I'm not sure what the material is exactly on the inside, but its strong enough to where it doesnt rip from me putting in and taking stuff out recklessly, and i can wipe it down if needed. I totally recommend this bag to picky people who want to be pratical and still stylish B)

Great bag for the price. Made of canvas and looks to be durable. My only complaint is that the website said the colors were green, blue, and black assorted, but I recieved a red one. My son liked it though. They should list all of the possible colors, if I had gotten a pink one, I would have been very upset.
Rothco Vintage Canvas Backpack (Olive)
I bought this bag for school and so far it's serving me well. I ordered the tan color and it was slighter darker in color when it arrived, but I actually like it better than what it looked like online. Just enough pockets, good zippers, good fabric. It's not huge, but I wouldn't say it's mini either, just the right size for me and my books. If you want a simple but sturdy bag for everyday use I would highly recommend this.
15.7 x 13.5 x 7 (I have a 15.6 laptop, and it fits in here, snug, but I wouldn't recommend using this for something that large, my suggestion is 14.3'' and lower)
I was surprised when I saw the backpack that it really was the exact same design as the other bag.. just.. well.. smaller. To describe it's size, I wouldn't call this a regular backpack nor a mini, it's more or less in between the two, much like the size of a typical Jansport backpack.
I purchased Olive Drab, though looking at it now, I really wish I ordered the black one instead, but I'm not disappointed. The color is very vintage, like a dull forest green.
Now to the bag itself! I carry a small, 13.3'' laptop in here, along with my teen study bible, 3 thin notebooks and 2 folders (along w/ wallet and 3DS). It all fits nicely in there, no sag, no awkward fitting and it's not too comfortable, but it isn't enough for me to actually complain about. The strap problem I had before DOES NOT exist, as this one seems to be REALLY secure, as sometimes I have a hard time trying to adjust -edited out, see edit below-. I've already recieved compliments on it. There's more than enough pockets... All there is left is to test wear but that comes with time so I will update. For now, it's a great buy :]

So, I think it's been about a month so far, and I decided to knock down a star :[ I still love the bag, but I now have a couple of issues. One issue is the straps. It's become frustrating to adjust. Sometimes I want a quick loosen, and that becomes me stopping, kneeling, pulling and tugging... it's a hassle for a simple task. My other issue is the material. Strings from the loose material on the inside of the backpack are now getting caught in the zipper. It's easy to pull and break it off, and it doesn't weaken the bag, but a hassle it is.
It's still a great bag though at a reasonable price. I still highly recommend it ^^

The dimensions are 15" x 13.5" x 7". This is not a mini backpack, it is closer to a traditional sized school backpack but it's still small enough to lug around as a daypack/purse.It looks good and it feels soft. It's prewashed. The bag I got is a bit darker green than it shows on the Amazon photo. I like the lighter green in the photo better but the real thing does scream vintage military just like the title says.
The canvas is sturdy. The zippers seem fine so far. The straps are woven on a needle loom so they would fray if they get worn down. I think it's probably fine for regular use.

I needed a backpack for traveling. I wanted it to look different but not stand out too much because I was going to be in the city and traveling all over on public transportation. I also wanted to have it be stylish and could sorda double as a purse. The price was great and I was worried it would be cheap but when I got it I was pleased that it was exactly what I was looking for. It was a small to medium size bag. Perfect for carry on and it made it through the trip. I had to wash it when I returned and it went through the wash well. It is by far the most favorite backpack I have ever owned.

I got this for my 4rth grader. She loved it at first, but is now disappointed, because she won't be able to use it the rest of the year. It looks great and at first glance, doesn't appear to be " cheaply " made. My daughter carries only a 3 ring 2" binder, 2 small paperback chapter books and a pencil pouch, each day in her backpack. By week 1, one of the mesh side pockets had a hole. By week 4 of school, the top seam was coming apart. It is now 2 months after school started and at the bottom/base of the pack, on both left and right sides, it is now tearing (small holes) on each side. I would not buy this again. I bought her a really cute Hello Kitty pack, fabric lined on the outside in 2nd grade, that lasted her through the end of 3rd grade (and she carried more stuff in it). I expected this pack to last at least one full grade. So here we are 2 months into the school year and have to buy another back pack. I don't recommend this product to anyone, unless it's for a kindergartner that will carry just a paperback folder and a pencil. Although it would be a bit big for a small child. I purchased this backpack for a kindergartener whose teacher places homework and notes for home in a 12 3/8" x 9 ½" folder. The Amazon listing states that this backpack measures 14"x11"x6" and it was chosen specifically because it was large enough to hold the school folder.When the folder clearly did not fit in the backpack my husband, an engineer, measured it. The length of the backpack down the center is 13 3/4", not 14", and the length on the sides measures a scant 12". The width at the bottom of the backpack measures 9 1/4", not 11", and the width along the top of the backpack is only 7 3/4".
I gave the backpack two stars because it is well made of quality materials.

I'm a freshman in college and I knew I'd be hauling a lot around in it, and I wanted something that would hopefully last for all four years as well as give me good back support. It's been a semester and the bag is holding up great. Absolutely no visible wear or tears anywhere. I can fit my laptop, my collapsable folder with all my notebooks and class info inside, my planner (which is pretty big) and a textbook or two. I did a lot of research before buying this pack because I wanted a big bag that would fit all my college books, laptop, ect. This bag is perfect. There are so many pockets that there's spots for everything. There's even a lined sunglass holder pocket on the top near the straps that I stick my phone and pens in for easy access. The insulated cooler pocked is handy for times when I bring lunch when I know I'll be out and about all day. Seems to keep things cool, but not super cold. I usually stick other things in there though. The straps are so thick and comfy. It's almost like memory foam. My bag probably weighs a good 20+ lbs when I have it filled up w/ notebooks, textbooks, and my laptop, but it really doesn't feel like I'm carrying that much at all. The size of the backpack is on the larger side and I'm a petite gal at only 5'0" so it may look a little big on me, but I really don't care how it looks, as long as it holds everything I need. I have a 15.6" laptop that fits perfectly in the specified laptop pocket located in the rear of the inside main comaprtment. The back of the laptop pocket is lined in foam as it's part of the back of the backpack, and the front portion of the pocked it foam lined so it's totally protected. I throw my bag around w/ the laptop inside it and nothing ever happens to it. (I not too hard though lol) I was worried that the side mesh pockets wouldn't be big or deep enough to carry water bottles, ect, but it so is. They're pretty tall and have elastic on the top so it does handle bottles great as well as keys and other knick nacks. The organizer portion of the bag in the second pocket could be set up a little better, like in my old Burton pack, but it's ok. It fits all my books, and notebooks perfectly, with extra room on top for something else if needed. It fits my HUGE 1000 pg Bio textbook, lab book, 2 folders, and 2 smaller notebooks. I got the blue and grey plaid color and love it! It's girly without being too girly. Have used this bag consistently for 4 months now and have had no issues with it. Buy it and you'll be impressed. I've used this pack for a few weeks and it's working out great. Fits my 15in Macbook in the designated pocket just fine, I also pack my lunch and bring a few books with me too. Everything fits perfectly, and the way the backpack is designed it doesn't kill my back while im trekking across campus or making my mile walk home.Only concern I had was how bulky it gets. I took it across the country with me and packed all my electronics (laptop, chargers, ipod, and phone), a few books and even some clothes inside. It got a little large looking, but the fact that it could even hold that much (with plenty of room to spare) was impressive enough that I honestly don't care what it would look like.
If you don't really care how large the backpack can look, I say go for it, it's perfect for university and travel, plus it's really cute.

I ordered this backpack for my 1st grader. The quality seams to be very good & the zippers easy to pull for her. It is actually quite a bit bigger than I was expecting, its actually much bigger than she needs but would be great space/size for an older kid w/ more homework & a laptop. There are 5 total zippered pockets, the 3 on the front you can easily see from the picture & they are spacious. There is one small pocket on the very top by the handle that would be perfect for a wallet & keys or my 1st grader's crayons. Then there is the super large side pocket that would easily fit a big laptop or 3-4 stuffed animals. Bought this for my ipad 2. While I admit it is a little large for this purpose, what I really like is that I can leave my ipad in the keyboard case and carry it on my shoulder. I bought a smaller bag and it barely fit with the case off so this one will work really well for me.I also love the bright colors. They are not painted on either-I was kind of worried they would be one of those "rubberized" type of decals and would wear off over time but they are not pressed on-they are part of the fabric.
The pocket in front is handy for pens, a small pad and the like.
The neoprene the case is made of will buffer your equipment a bit but it is not overly padded so if you drop it I am not sure it will protect it well. Since mine is in the keyboard case and inside this one it will be more than adequate for what I want.
Oh, and the shoulder strap has a nice feature in the matching neoprene pad. It makes it so that the strap does not cut into my shoulder. Another thing is that is adjusts on both sides-so smart so you can make sure it is even on both sides and that pad stays on your shoulder. I have seen others that adjust on one size and then the padding is either to the front of back of your shoulder-not this one.
My only wish is that the strap connected with metal hardware instead of plastic but for the price I understand you need to compromise in some way. I would absolutely recommend this case and would buy it again. I am actually thinking of getting another one to have on hand should anything happen to this one.
It does have that "new neoprene" smell to it but I sprayed with a little Febreeze and it is fine now.
This carrying case is great. It hold the 11" laptop, her mandatory notebook and pen with room to spare. I love that the front zip pocket is big enough to put headphones and mouse and I don't have to worry she will lose the items. Most carrying cases don't have a place to store headphones etc. It is soft so it will probably not prevent damage if dropped but it fits in her small LL Bean book bag with folding down the top no problem and helps to keep the weight of her pack down. I like that is doesn't weigh much as we try to limit the weight of her bag on CTY days as she is a small 5 years old. It is also very colorful and bright and perfect for a little girl to like. She has been using it for 2 months now twice a week and still looks brand new so I would say it holds up pretty well at least so far :)I've got this for my 13,5 inch laptop, and it fits easily inside, even with the neoprene sleeve on. The carrying case is pretty, and the side pocket is very useful. I don't give it 5 stars because the colors are slightly different from the picture, and are more on the red than the pink side.

Very heavy leather purse. Smaller than expected, barely get purse inside and few girly items that's all. Really wanted pack back purse, easy to shop with, but would not recommend this as way too small.
