Higher Ground 13" Shuttle 2.1

Made from excellent materials, this looks and feels like a high quality case. Not a LOT of room for accessories. I was basically looking for something to keep my Macbook protected and hold a few small items (like mouse, external drive, and charger) there's not room for much else. I keep it in the case while I use it and it functions as a great platform on my lap. Very satisfied 4 stars because I would have given the front pocket a wee bit more room to expand. Overall, I love it!

This case is perfect for my 13" Mac Book Pro. It is light-weight and versatile in ways to carry. I especially like the fact that I can carry my computer vertically so that it is easier to navigate in crowded places. The straps holding the computer are secure, and I never have to take the computer out of the case to use it--good on airplanes. The four padded feet at the bottom help to reduce heat, even though this computer does not get as hot as former products. It also has a pocket to store my accessories. The Higher Ground Shuttle case (esp. in unobtrusive black) is one of my best purchases.

I wanted a laptop case that would hold my computer on my lap, and not require me to remove it from the case. I ordered two other cases before I found this. It's great construction, holds a few accessories, and keeps my legs from getting to hot while I use my computer in my lap. Just what I wanted!

super cheap in comparison to other sites as well as the manufacturers site! there is no brand label on the front pouch, just the brand logo which is an orange zigzag and does not stand out very much. the sleeve located at the top of the pictured case is actually opposite the pouch. The pouch on the front does not have a flap and has a zipper :) overall, its the one i wanted! extremely good price!

Rothco Vintage M-51 Engineers Bag - Canvas/Leather

I am a grad student majoring in studio art, and I have been searching for a bag like this for the longest time. I received it today and everything I need fits perfectly in it with some extra empty pockets. Usually I have to carry two bags or one bag and an art tackle box to school because my messenger bag couldn't hold all my class stuff and art stuff. Now it all fits in one. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead on 5 is because the photos make it look a little wider than it actually is.

This bag fits my laptop,sketchbook, 3 ring binder, iPad, all my drawing materials, wallet, cell phone, iPod, and a few other random small things.

so happy with my purchase!

I just got my bag. My Toshiba Portege z930 fits perfectly in a thin pouch in the main pocket. The quality looks okay, but there are many negative reviews about "fake" Rothco bags. The Rothco website appears to have a factory in New York. The "Made in India" tag is obvious, but I haven't been able to verify if this bag is really made by Rothco. For me, the size is perfect and the bag empty weighs about as much as what I plan to carry in it. I suspect that this bag will be fine, but if you are interested in an actual Rothco bag then you should check the company website and see the list of actual retailers. Thanks.

Rothco responded and verified that some of their bags are made in India, including this one. Ebags is an authorized dealer.

I've had this bag a month and there are several stitching areas that are coming apart already; the leather portion on the handle is coming off and was from day 1, one of the compartments areas is unstitching. I had hoped this would be of better quality. I love the design and all the compartments, I just hope i can keep em all attached.

Like others, I thought this bag was fantastic when I got it; the canvas and leather were nice, the bag was roomy, and overall it just looked great. I expected to take this bag on camping trips to come, but alas, it was not meant to be.

After two months of regular, non-rigorous use and handling, one of the shoulder straps ripped off. And thus, my adventures with this bag have come to an end. I really wanted to like this bag, but I was deeply saddened at how quickly it fell apart.

I take this bag with me everyday from home to work to the gym. I love it, although it is a little small. I try to put about 2 gym (light) outfits and my tennis shoes and they fit perfect. Case Logic Backpack for 16-Inch Laptop (ZLBS-216)

This review is mainly regarding the padding issue.

The laptop compartment is essentially the whole pocket in the back (no separate sleeve), so your laptop will sit on the floor when you put the backpack down. For such design, you would expect the padding at the bottom to be thick, but as I estimate it, the padding is on roughly 1cm thick, add the thickness of the shell, then you would get probably 2cm of separation between your laptop and the floor. My laptop is only 15" x 10" x 1", while the inside of the laptop compartment is 17" x 13.5" x 2", so it's a little too spacious and not a good fit.

Also, the padding in the back of the laptop compartment is thick, but the padding on the front of the laptop compartment is quite thin (less than 2cm), so when you open up the backpack at checkpoint, there will be very little padding between your laptop and the floor. Not much there!

Padding at the bottom for the middle compartment (inside measurement 16" x 13" x 3") is also very minimal. I planned to keep my camera and paortable hard drive in the middle compartment, but considering how thin the bottom padding is, I wouldn't dare to.

I really want to like the backpack, as it has well laid-out pockets, and is not too big for me (I'm 5'6") and is light enough. But keeping it would mean I'd have to add extra padding for the bottom of the laptop and middle compartment in order to protect whatever sensitive equipment I put in those.

I'm gonna order the Samsonite Xenon 2 to check it out, hopefully this one will have much better paddings.

This bag has plenty of room for everything...cables, mouse, etc. Very happy with this purchase. More than met my expectations.

We ordered this backpack for one of our kids. It is a nice little backpack but little is the operative word. We had wanted to have it for a 3rd grader's book bag, but it is quite small. I had called the company to get measurements before ordering, but the accuracy of the delivered dimensions left something to be desired. Approximate main pocket dimensions: 8" x 2" x 11" Additionally, it doesn't mention anywhere that the unicorn is a stuffed animal that comes out for play.

I love red and black so I got the best of both worlds. I got a slightly larger case and there is just a little extra room. There is a nice mesh pocket on the inside if you have any papers. You can stuff the handles into the valco pockets to hide them or just use them. The zipper mesh pocket has room enough for my mouse and battery/cords. Wonderful case. Only thing that would have been nice was a optional shoulder strap.

It's a little big for my laptop, but I think that was my fault, it just leaves a little wiggle room. Well made and fairly lightwieght.

Oakley Men's Status Pack 2.0

I'm writing this after just a couple days of use. I'll update my review in a couple months so that it is consistent with what I've actually been experiencing.

I'm coming from an absolutely enormous Jansport Backpack that I purchased ages ago. I need something that will carry tons of stuff all the time. This fits the bill for the most part. It's a 30 liter pack and it makes good use of the room that it has. The laptop slot is just big enough for my massive 17.3" laptop, by that I mean I really wouldn't put anything bigger in there. So if you have one of those 18" gaming laptops, I would recommend looking elsewhere. This probably won't work. A complaint I do have is there isn't a great place to put my power brick but I suppose that's a minor one.

The main compartment is nice and roomy. The pen and misc pockets are also in this area which is not something I've seen before (normally it has a dedicated pocket) but it seems to function just fine.

The water bottle holders are one of the huge pluses of this pack and are one of the reasons I picked it. They will hold a 1 L nalgene problem just perfectly which is exactly what I needed. I tested a SwissGear SA1923 backpack prior to this one and was a bit annoyed that I couldn't fit my 1 L bottles if anything was in the side pockets.

I also really like the armored sunglasses shell. It has a soft coating for the sunglasses and is roomy enough to carry around 2 pair (as long as you don't wear bug eye sized glasses.

The pack itself is very light. That may be a blessing and a curse. The blessing of course being that you're carrying around less weight. The curse may or may not exist in itself. I'm hoping that it doesn't mean less durability than a heavier duty bag. We'll see when the time comes.

I bought this bag to use as a pseudo-diaper bag for flying with my toddler. It holds a lot! I was able to fit snacks, 2 sets of headphones, wipes, pull ups, outfit, Google Nexus 10 tablet, and medicine for the trip. It is easy to open and get things out without taking the bag off. It seems to be pretty sturdy to hold all the stuff I need. Works well for how I intend to use it!

I bought this bag for my Mac. Fits perfectly, but in less than a month the zipper came off the material gets pulled easily. Not a very durable product. I recommend people to pay more for something that will last.

My daughter got this for school. Her binders and notebooks fit more comfortably that most slings, but it's not a huge bag. Water bottle holder comfortably holds a very large bottle. Padding makes it pretty comfortable to wear. Bag is NOT waterproof and she ruined a bunch of notebooks in the rain last week. Lesson learned we've now put a 2 gallon ziplock bag inside to keep her supplies dry.

For the price, I am happy with the bag. It doesn't feel super strong, so I suspect it will be ruined in 8-9 months, as are most of her school backpacks.

Herschel Supply Co Pop Quiz Backpack

This backpack is great. Its everything you'd expect from a backpack: strong straps, easy adjustments, and many pockets to store things. However I do agree with the other reviewer that the zipper does get stuck sometimes and thats something you probably dont want to deal with especially if youre rushing out of class.

I bought this backpack due to its stylish design and less about its utilitarian features. I use it only for school so that is my perspective of this product. One thing that really bugs me about this backpack is the sunglasses pouch located at the top. Its basically just a pocket that has no sidewalls supporting it. If you happen to have books in your bag, theres a pretty good chance youll smash your glasses if they ever slide forward (like if you set your backpack on a desk too fast). And if youre not using the pouch, then it just gets in the way of you getting to the things you need.

Another thing that irks me a little is the two front pockets. Theres only enough room for pens/pencils and a calculator. I keep a graphing calculator in the back front pocket and anything I put in the front pocket gets squished by it.

Other than the things mentioned above, this backpack is definitely something I'd recommend to someone else to buy. The durability is there and I can see myself using this backpack for a couple years without worrying that itll fall apart on me. I knew that I'd be carrying a lot of books in my bag and it does the job fine in that regard. The pin stripe inner lining is pretty sweet as well.

This backpack is beautiful in the outside and much more in the inside. The inner area is all cushioned so you can protect your laptop or tablet. There are lots of pockets and inside them there are specific places for pens and keys, there are also some see -through mesh pockets that helps you to find things quickly. I just believe they could lower the price without losing quality.

The bag is very beautiful and I've received a lot of compliments on it. I love the backpack strap option, but other than that I've been a little disappointed with the bag.

when using the backpack straps you can not close the zipper on the back pocket since the straps are secured inside the pocket.

the bag is quite stiff and boxy, so whether it is full or empty it is always bulky

given the dimensions of the bag it doesn't actually carry that much stuff inside it.

The inside of the bag is deep and narrow, with just one zipper at the top for opening. I've found it to be awkward to find my way around the inside of the bag, unless it isn't very full.

I've gotten a few water stains on it and I'm not sure how to get them out anyone have advice on that?

I've actually stopped using this bag, sadly. I love that it is a beautiful fabric and has the strap options, but other than that I've found it to be incredibly inconvenient and awkward, poorly designed and not worth the money I spent.

I bought this for a friend for her baby shower and she loved it.

It is the same quality as Kecci's I've purchased in the past.

For my baby shower, I received a "Global Kecci." It is not the same quality "Kecci". The images on for the Global Kecci bags are not very clear so you cannot see that the lining of the Global Kecci is very thin, windbreaker type material.

Got this backpack set for my oldest son for starting first grade this year. He loved it when it got here and still loves it. I am pretty impressed with its build quality. I dont think he will get more than one school years use out of it but he is certainly putting it through its paces now and its going strong. Id definitely recommend to any Pokemon lover.

If you buy this backpack, your son may be happy a the beginning, but he will be sad when it breaks, and I assure you it WILL break. I did not heed the warnings of others and now I am sorry. My son really loved this backpack so we bought it in spite of some bad reviews. I knew that the zipper could was a problem, but I thought we could just be really careful. I could tell that the zipper quality was bad from day one, so I oiled it and we were careful with it. I lasted 3 months, before the zipper completely broke. Now I have to buy another packpack! The zipper on the lunchbox it better quality. Why couldn't they just have used the same zippers on the backpack??? Complete waste of money!!!

This Kelty pack is excellent in style, design, and ingenuity to produce. It is a high quality product that will last a good many years.

It's a perfect day pack, has pocket for pens, pencils, other writing utensils. The pack is constructed from Codura waterproof fabric, and the zippers are a very metal design. This beings an item of value bothe for the collector and day hiker.

This is a great pack, I've taken it every where from school, surfing, rock climbing, and hiking the local mountains and it has proformed flawlessly. The features this pack includes are a laptop sleeve (great also for a camelbak or similar product because of the insulation), a belt strap (great for hiking) and a ton of internal organizational pockets in the main pouch and in the smaller top pouch. The arm straps are also generously padded towns the back seems to have a stiff pice of plastic, helping to maintain the shape of the bag. The two side pouches are large enough to carry water bottles, and there is a small phone/wallet pocket on the top as well. I have only a minor gripe with this pack; it is that the picture shows hooks on the external clinching straps, but in reality it is a simple metal buckle. I would have like to have had those side hooks to get into the main pouch easier, but this in no way diminishes the pack's utility. If you have the means to buy this pack, I suggest you do for it not only can take a beating and look good doing it, it has the Kelty unconditional life time warrantee making this the last backpack you will ever need to buy
