This is a great backpack for the price. Plenty of space for a 15 inch laptop and a 9 inch tablet. The downside is the the strap to hold in the laptop, the back pack a holder strap that crosses the laptop using velcro to hold the laptop in place, which is kind of flimsy.Other than the laptop strap, and given that this is a Swiss backpack. This is a great value.

The Rockland Hard Sided luggage looks beautiful when received. Amazon got these to us immediately and we ARE very happy with their service-The problem was the luggage is NOT study at all. First day on our trip the metal label feel off (leaving 2 open holes) and it appeared as if it were in a battle just from jiggling around in transport. I did receive immediate attention from Amazon.com and it was greatly appreciated. Good: Lightweight, hard sided composite material. Four casters, not just two wheels.Bad: no outside pocket in the carry on size (for travel documents).
My wife and I have made two journeys with this luggage. The last hard sided luggage we had, the baggage handlers managed to ding the corners, the fix was to fill the corner with a putty. Adds weight, plus customs people would tear the putty out looking for things. So far no dinged corners on this luggage.
We have also traveled with soft sided bags. The soft sided bags tear, and the frames get damaged.
First journey: SLC to SEA air, SEA to Poulsbo, WA by shuttle, Poulsbo to Edmonds, WA by Ferry. Edmonds to Vancouver on Amtrak. Vancouver to SEA by bus. SEA to SLC by air. (This was during the summer months.)
Second journey: SLC to MSY by air, Cruise, MSY to SLC by air (indirect flight, so the baggage changed aircraft). (This was during the winter months.)
So far no dings. Reason I only give this four stars is the no outside pocket in the carry on size for travel documents.

I specifically wanted a vertical laptop bag with fewer pockets and lightweight carry. This bag fits the need perfectly and has a fine shoulder pad. Overall design is simple and utilitarian. The sections & pockets are fewer but very large and can carry almost anything. A negative is that after 3 months of daily use, the inside laptop section divider fabric stitching has started to break and separate through normal use. This also reveals the thin polyfoam construction of the internal divider. At best, this is okay and a compromise for weight and cost, but given all the other design & assembly compromises, I wonder if this will last a year or 2 without becoming an annoyance?
It was a rainy day. I packed my notebook as usual, stepped outside assuming all would be protected and safe. However, if you look carefully, the flap that swings over the top is not made to wrap around the edges. There is an angled gap of roughly half an inch on both sides of the flap, that provides direct access to the notebook.
Luckily for me, it was a short walk to the car in very heavy rain. when I opened my notebook bag, I discovered water on the edges of my notebook. And now, I have to always remember to stuff paper towels on the edges just in case it rains.I use this messenger bag for my Macbook Pro 15'' and it's amazing, the space for the laptop is just great and the good thing is that it has also an special space for the charger and papers.

Has a great padded area for your 15" MacBookPro. There is a rubber covered handle for times you don't want to go to the trouble of using the padded strap. The shoulder strap can come off if you like and besides padding there is a cel pocket on it. Mostly you notice how the bag is planned out nicely for your computer and a few items like the cords, mouse etc. This is not your "tote everything and the kitchen sink" bag but then it wasn't made for that. Buy this for my mbp 13 ", I should buy the smallest model but the idea was to share with my wife a few times (she has a 15.6" laptop). The bag looks great and protects the laptop very well and not be as fancy as the Speck PortPack becomes safer in urban environments in my opinion.would be good maybe one or two pockets for small items.

CLASSIC CANVAS MILITARY STYLE MESSENGER BAG LAPTOP BAG
The canvas bag is as you see in the picture and is pretty heavy fabric. It looks like it will stand up to quite a bit. However, we have not had it very long and the zipper pull already came off the bag. They really needed to use a much heavier zipper. Since the top flap goes over the zipper, it is still usable but a bit disappointing the zipper broke so soon. My son still really likes the bag however. If the zipper had not broken I would have given this 4 or 5 stars as the canvas fabric is very heavy.

This bag looks great and is very functional. I carry around a huge HP laptop for work as a product designer and an Ipad for personal use and it all fits very nicely. The only thing I don't like about it is the shoulder straps. I had to punch holes to adjust to my height otherwise it would be hanging around the back of my knees.
Pacsafe Luggage Metro Safe 150 GII Cross Body Sling Bag
I bought this bag because of the stories of pickpockets in Italy. Once there and being somewhat off season, I did not feel too at risk. Never got on the Rome #64 pickpocket bus (to Vatican). The metro at rush hour was a prime place for pickpockets but had no trouble. Looking at how the Italians carried their things, a zippered bag held close to body seems to be the norm. However, I did feel that this bag provided good security that would deter pickpockets from trying to even attempt anything. The bag does not have a lot of space but fit a couple small umbrellas and a light raincoat inside plus small tour books. Also kept my wallet inside the zippered section inside the outside pouch. Figured this would be really difficult to both get into bag and then unzipper another compartment. The size is good for visiting museums where large backpacks needed to be checked but I did not have a problem. There were a couple museums that required that the sling bag be carried on my front side (to keep the pack from knocking over some art work or something I guess). It was comfortable and could easily be swung around to front from back for access.The antitheft features did make it a bit cumbersome to get into, i.e., the securing of the pouch zippers to the hook and getting them undone. It is the price for security and likely a strong deterrent for pickpockets. The RFID section was too small for passport and not convenient for credit cards because of its depth. I would suggest Pacsafe reconsider this design. Perhaps make it larger with pull out plastic pouch for easy retrieval of passport/credit cards.
I first started looking for a new sling pack when I noticed that my current one didn't support the size of my new Microsoft Surface tablet. This more then did the trick keeping it nice and snug with or without the keyboard covers. I'll admit I mostly use this as I walk to work and don't find much value in the zipper clip or the slash proof wire lining, but the bag does feel sturdy and very well designed. I thought that I might be paying a tad much for it, but after getting it in the mail my mind was changed instantly. Just feeling this bag, I knew I'd be able to get a lot of use out of it. I'll also note that with most of the sling bags I've tried, it's painfully difficult to run with them, however this one is quite easy and comfortable due to it's close fitting design. I'm not doing a pro or con list with this pack as I just don't have any cons. I'm not going to say the bag is perfect, but I will say that I got more then I paid for and couldn't be happier.

Actually, I got this for my husband. Since he acquired glasses and hearing aids, he has to carry mre than he's used to. Also, it holds his Nook nicely. When we ordered it we thought he would use it when we travel: airports, day trips, etc. He ikes it so much he uses it every time we go out. We've had more than one man turn around and walk back tous to ask where we bought it. Most of them were bicyckle and motorcycle riders.I like it because it looks much nicer than the fanny pack he was using. It has a nice "techie" look to it. I got this to use with my iPad mini, moleskin notebooks, and diabetic supplies. It works great and has less bulk then the previous bag that I had. It also doesn't resemble a purse (musre) like the previous one did. JanSport Superbreak Colorblock Classics Series Daypack
Be careful to always check the backpack capacity when ordering online. 1550 cu inches is a medium capacity and may not function well for anyone past the 6th grade, but it's perfect for my 3rd grader.On to the product. When I opened the box, my first impression of this item was not good at all. I'll break this down into the different parts of the backpack:
Material: The material is much thinner than I expected. I have my doubts on whether it will hold up over time.
Sturdiness: I also was unhappy that there was no type of support on/in the base of the bag. That and the flimsy material result in the bag constantly falling over unless it's packed full of books. It certainly won't stand on its own when empty either, unless stuffed full of tissues (like the impression the product page image gives).
Padding: The padding is another poor spot for me. The foam in the straps is pretty firm and I'm not sure if you wouldn't be just as good without it altogether. The padding on the back of the bag doesn't even run the width of the bag! If you look at the product images, the pad stops where the straps are (about 2" from the sides), so if you carry the pack over one shoulder you'll most likely have books poking you.
Construction/Design: The stitching and zipper on the bag are it's only redeeming qualities for me. The nylon zippers are pretty beefy and probably the same used on more expensive JanSport products. There are NO additional pockets other than the large one on the front. This definitely limits your ability to keep things organized.
Value: Poor. This isn't what I would expect from a JanSport product. I paid $28 for the purple bag for my son. There were a few other colors a little less expensive, but that's about the average price and as usual, Amazon had the best price. This replaced a 2 yr old Transformers backpack that frankly was better made and purchased at a discount brick and mortar for half the price. Whether or not it lasts as long remains to be seen. The only reason I've given it at least 2 stars is because it hasn't been tested yet. I will post an update after the bag has some miles on it.

This is the perfect size for my 2 1/2 year old. She needed a bigger backpack that fit her school folder in addition to her pillow,blanket and breakfast. The one I received is actually a darker pink than showed which I like better to hide dirt. It is more of a hot pink but very pretty.
